Anbu-of-Sand
Well, I got Black in english 3 days ago to go with my Japanese White version...I just finished the fifth gym and my current team is (yes, I know it sucks right now...): Sigilyph Lv.32• Psybeam• Air Cutter• Psywave• Light Screen Excadrill Lv.34• Earthquake (I purposely leveled Drilbur to Lv.33 before letting it evolve)• Rock Slide• Slash• Metal Claw Samurott Lv.37• Razor Shell• Scald• Slash• Grass Knot I'm planning to add Axew and Litwick as the remainder of my team (and Watchog as an HM slave)HM Salves be unneeded. If you ever needed one, get a Panpour + Ducklett, they can learn all the HM's in conjunction, except for Strength. Instead, go for like a Grass like Whimiscott / Lilligant or maybe something like Eelektross. My opinion / suggestions may not be the best, so be warned. Tentacruel
Never tried Battle Subway. Do you gain EXP from it?No. You gain BP which can be used to buy stuff. Battle Subway basically simulates competitive Pokemon. It's almost impossible without using EV Trained Pokemon.

It's almost impossible without using EV Trained Pokemon.Poketransfer high level, good stat pokemon from old games to beat battle subway, gain items to help you EV train your own team, and beat battle subway again, and then finally try out your team online. That's my plan when I get my 3DS next week (will finally be able to use Wifi).

Tentacruel
Ah so like Battle Tower. Almost impossible? D:It's possible with your regular party, but you won't be able to get to through the Super Track, which gets a lot more BP.

Also, my team is currently is at the Level 53-55 area, with my Samurott 63 I believe. My team struggles at the new Level 60+ Trainers, so suggestions on where I can train before battling said Trainers?

Heck, you could just fight everything in the grass, as the wild Pokemon around there are level 50+
Flame Dragon
I really appreciate your help. Here's my Samurott as well, seeing I'm at a loss with his move set.- Razor Shell- Scald- Revenge- Slash Also, beat the Elite Four (first time) along with N and Ghetsis. To be honest, the Elite Four was far too easy. I didn't even need to save like previous games, mainly because I barely struggled, and I guess I pre-made my team to counter the Elite Four / some Gym Leaders as well. My whole Team is Level 52-53 afterwards, with Samurott 60. Oh, and there was this cave in Victory Road I couldn't go to due to some small grey boulder (which I couldn't move with strength). I am sure this is the way to getting the TM Dragon Claw, so when will this boulder disappear? I have not yet checked to see if it did after defeating the Elite Four / completing the Storyline.Think of it this way. With STAB Spark is at 90 power vs Bolt that is at 135. The extra power will helps get kills you normally wouldn't and if you don't get those kills you'd still stake damage. Really going forward don't look at recoil as a down. I take it you don't like Hi Jump Kick for the same reason? But yea, those would be the sets to use. It's hard to make a set for him. Between the need for Surf in game and how his stats may end up, it's up to you. I can only give some recommendations such as Megahorn, Ice Beam, Scald, Surf, Waterfall, X-Scissor. My set is Megahorn, Ice Beam, Waterfall, and Surf. That cave is where the Rock/Fighting type guy is. It opens after you get the Steel/Fighting guy. I don't remember how I got Dragon Claw since I found it by mistake, but I know you need to fall down the cliff to get it.

Oh, I don't need the Rock / Fighting dude. In fact, I met the Steel Fighting dude, and couldn't cap it, so I just turned the game off and on and left the area. I mean seriously, it had red HP, was Paralyzed, yet I couldn't cap it with Timers, Ultras, anything except Master D: (Not sure when I should use Master). I guess I'll go back to Victory Road and see which slides I didn't / forget to go down. I'm pretty sure I went to all of them though.
.Nu-13
So yeah guys, should I take care of making my team competitive before E4, or just complete the game, and breed and grind EVs then?

Dark
I need HM Slave ideas, and fast. I liked it better in Ruby and Sapphire where Tentacool + Tropius took care of all of your problems. Granted there are only six HMs this generation, but I still need slaves. The only HM I am using on my team is Surf on Samurott, so I need two guys maximum for the other five. halp I know Swanna can learn Surf, Dive, and Fly, so I might put Waterfall on Samurott instead. Cin
Dark you don't need slaves that much outside Fly/Surf that's all. Last game you needed alot more I'd catch a Bibarel for that. Yea just use Swanna.

Cin
Genex, depends what part you are in the game really. Swanna can learn the 2 HMs you will actually need to progress.

I went and caught all the Legendaries (Available in Black, excluding Reshiram) in under two hours. I just went to the Pokemart Center Station and bought like, 300 Ultra Balls.
More or less any part that's in the East (unlocked after E4).....I figured. The E4 is very easy(the 1st time around), I just need to stock up on more items for the battle with N/"Dennis" afterwords. Used False swipe from Cobalion, let him run afterwards, and then used a Wobuffet to keep him there while I chucked about ten Ultra Balls at him. Yang Xiao-Long
So I finally got myself to the 4th floor of the Abyssal Ruins and got myself the Relic Crown.I'm gonna go back and gather up the items I couldn't get; should only take about a few more times. Cut probably only had that one use in Dreamyard anyways.
