Well I dunno why my Reiniclus isn;t doing well. I don't remember its nature, but here:

Reiniclus

LV 60

Shadow Ball

Energy Ball

Recover

Psychic

It should be doing really well. If anything give it Calm Mind over Energy Ball and he should be good.

Good to hear. Suggestions on where to Level Grind: Currently doing so on Route 4 with the Wild's / some Trainers, but the Wild pokemon give so little and makes me impatient, and I'm running out of Trainers to battle....stupid third gym leader with his Leavanny.

You really don't need to grind. Their are more then enough trainers to go fight to keep your team at a decent level.

I'm in Dragonspiral Tower now.

Did my character just TALK???!!!!

I swear that was him!

I think he just thinks that. That or the game is just telling you what's going on.

WHAT!?!?! I swear if our characters talk in the actual story this Generation (excluding when they're switching / getting out pokemon's in battles), I will flip s***. And once again, will find the time to post up me and my brother's pokemon teams.

I'm not sure if it was him or not, but my character was the only one there. Then some dialog appeared. I don't remember exactly but it went along the lines of "What was that? Are wild pokemon fighting?" Or something like that. Again, the only person there is the protag.

Question: How rare would you say it is to encounter these Pokemon in the wild? (Rate from 1-10 ploxx, 10 being really common and 1 being really rare) In the area where they can be found of course. Thank you in advance to anyone / anybody who answers.

Solosis

Mienfoo

Yamask

Joltik

Klink

Foongus

Some names may be wrong, mainly because I'm not entirely used to the new pokemon yet.

Solosis 5?

Mienfoo 9.

Yamask 6.

Joltik 7.

Klink 7.

Foongus 8.

Just my opinions though. It really depends on which Routes (i.e. Mienfoo can be found in multiple places). Foongus can be found in pokeballs on the ground btw.

About to face the E4. Grinding is hard, even w/the lucky egg. D:

Emboar

Chandelure

Carracosta

Galvantula

Unfezant.

Mienfoo (Gonna evolve it. Last resort when I figured out Zekrom was after the E4).

And on a side note, is it more or are the encounter rates ridiculously high? ._.

I know Mienfoo and Joltik are easy to get. The others should also be easy if memory serves.

If foongus is the pokemon I'm thinking of he isn't that good fyi.

The Pokemon's final stats seem pretty decent to me in my opinion / to be honest. Sure it's speed isn't that good, but the rest of the stats are pretty average, along with it's amount of HP. Besides, my brother refuses to not have it in it's team not only because of it's somewhat of a funny name, but because he doesn't find the other Grass-Type / Poision-Type / Grass-Dual-Typed Pokemon that good compared to it (stat wise / a bit move pool wise as well).

Even with high HP his other defense stats aren't that good, 70/80, so his ability to take hits is still limited. And as you said, he's other stats or just average, and that isn't good really. And his move pool's only decent option is Spore, but it takes super long to get.

This gens has lots of decent grass types. Simisage, Lilligant, and Ferrothorn (he is VERY good) are all great in game. Sawsbuck is also decent. Poison isn't a good type imo.

Ferrothorn eh? Not sure if it would work with his other pokemon though. His team (that he plans on getting) is the following:

Emboar

Galvantula

Excadrill

Klinklang

Amoongus

Seismitoad

So would Ferrothorn / Sawsbuck / Lilligant be a good option for his team?

-Edit-

My brother is willing to remove Amoongus and replace it with either a Lilligant or a Ferrothorn (He's not a fan of how many weaknesses Sawsbuck has and the move pool it has as well). Opinion on which would be best for his team? I think he should go for Lilligant, but he thinks that he should go for Ferrothorn, so yeah, we're at a dead end on what he should go for.

I personally like Ferrothorn, but that's just me. If he were to use him he could drop Klinklang since he would also be getting a 3rd Steal type out of it . Also Sawbuck doesn't have THAT many weakness since it's just normal Grass one + Fighting. Plus he gets a ghost immunity out of it. Still, personally I would say Ferrothorn.

And now that I'm looking at the team he'll have 4 pokemon weak to fire no matter what happens and that isn't that good.

I was intrigued with an electric bug and a fire bug type because they're an interesting combination despite of being weak against rock (especially Volcarona) I wonder if people main electro ball for electric pokemon with high speed? I recalled electrobe actually have the highest speed among all other electric which it's surprising as he is a ball shape xD. just looking at galvantula make me wanna play~ oh i just sang a song xD

Almost forgot he already had 2 Steel Type monsters. My brother wants to keep Klinklang, only because it's Speed, Attack, and Defense are pretty good. Plus, it's pretty rare to see a pretty fast Steel-Type monster (unless I'm forgetting one). I guess I can ask my brother if he would be willing to drop it though for a Fire-Resistant monster. Not sure what though.

Even though 4 of his Pokemon are weak to Fire, he does have Seismotoad, and Excadrill that can learn Earthquake and also is pretty fast as well. And Ferrothorn eh? I'm liking what I'm hearing about it, but what would your opinion be on Lilligant? Also, what would you recommend to scratch out for another Fire-Resistant monster? The only thing my brother is willing to switch out for it is Amoonguss, but possibly Klinklang like I said before.

Magneton is quite fast iirc.

He wouldn't really need a Fire resistant mon since he already has 2, he just needs one less pokemon that is taking 2x damage. For that their are loads to pick from so what ever would give good type coverage with his team.

Lilligant is cool largely thanks to the dances it can learn.

As said Klinklang isn't that good since his movepool isn't that good. As for subs, Archeops might be cool to use.

Yes or no for Samurott?

If you going mix don't use Adamant. Also, speed lowing natures aren't really good on attackers. As for the set itself drop Shell for Waterfall or even Aqua Jet. Revenge is ok. Sword Dance is best on a pure physical set so you good drop Scald for something like Megahorn if that is the case. If you want to stay mixed go for either a support move or one that increases coverage.

Item can be whatever but Life Orb and Leftovers are always a good go to.

Base 70 is fast?

Well, I wanted to got for physical set, I just put in Scald as a filler, didn't know what to put instead. I'll replace it with Megahorn and Shell with Aqua Jet or Waterfall. So which nature to choose for physical set?

Physical sets should either be Adamant or Jolly. It comes down to if you want more speed or power really.
