Andx
"Come now boy. It shouldn't be that hard. You've just got to think a little. How could I have timed the attack on your friends so perfectly? How is it the attack started when you and the Vulpix left? It's simple, I've been spying on this whole area for awhile now. I've seen everything you and your group have done here. The walking, the encounter with a Sandshrew, the ambush by the Grass types, the mysterious savior with the large will-o-wisp, your encounter with the Sandslash, your saving the Vulpix, everything. And as you're so nice as to let me go first..." Flos said. Her flowers suddenly seemed to be colored purple. "... Allow me to start the suffering!" she said. All at once what looked like needles of a purple substance appeared and attempted to make contact with Saul. It was Toxic Spikes, a move only meant to poison. And though being a Porygon meant Saul wasn't exactly made of flesh, it did not put him above being affected by status ailments that other Pokemon could be affected by. Flos wasted no time and immediately went into a Petal Dance. However Flos showed masterful use of it and not only surrounded him with it so it could attack from any angle, but it would also not hit if he stood exactly where he was."Pick your 'poison' if you would." Flos said a bit of a sadistic laugh in her voice. Saul had two choices, stay and surely get poisoned, or take the Petal Dance.--------Roran's confusion landed on the Starmie who seemed to hardly care about any attack that hit it. The Starmie again flew into the side of the pass. Jordan mustered her strength and charged the Starmie. She prepared a Tackle, she didn't want to let this Starmie do anything else. The attack hit and the Starmie was slammed an inch or two into the side of the pass. Jordan backed off and waited for a bit. It didn't take long, the Starmie was out and using Swift in a flash. Jordan's first instinct was to dodge but that would put Roran directly in the attack's path. Not willing to let that happen she took the hit head on."There's no breaking this thing!" she thought as the attack hit her.
Headmaster Monokuma
"Come on! Protect yourself, did you forget about this?!" When Roran had finished his sentence he Teleported right behind the Starmie. Let's... hit it from... both sides.!" Roran quickly started to charge up a Shadow Ball which he hoped would stun it enough to let Jordan get a quick hit against it. Wow, the... Teleport didn't take near as long to charge up, and I am not as fatigued. It must the ring Jirachi gave me. I didn't think it could work so well. Roran glanced back at Saul and the strange figure. It had appeared blurry before, but he could now make out enough to see Spikes below Saul and Leaves floating around him. Saul is in some trouble. He is almost to guaranteed take a hit now. Guest Tainted Black
Saul chuckled. "I already did." He said as he stood his ground firmly. She had not counted on his Conversion 2 to Poison. He thought as he waited. "Well, since I chose my 'poison' already, I suppose this move in our little game is mine." As soon as the last syllable came out, he fired a Tri-Attack at Flos, and sat, awaiting her next move ahead of time. He was thinking about it rather analytically, which was odd for a battle such as this. Sort of like a trench fight.
The Warden
Zac felt slight traces of consciousness, maybe it wasn't as powerful a hit as he thought. The psywave did some damage, and it was a direct hit by confusion, but he was still active. He heard the dainty footseps approach, and this may in fact be the perfect time to get her. His eyes snapped opened and made contact with her's. 'Hypnosis' he said dreamily. Wave of the hypnotic energy met the Kirlia, possibly enough too knock her to sleep or maybe to gain some control on her. He just hoped he had caught her off guard and unable to counter the waves. Naimo
YES! Now let's see what you've got! Instead of landing the second blow immediately, she suddenly extended her arms and pushed herself off the ground, before she crossed her arms so her hands touched the opposite shoulders. In a rather athletic flip over the Grovyle, Kyker landed with both arms touching the ground, before pushing herself off again; as she did so, she began to land the second of three kicks. If it was successful, she would go ahead and land her third at the same time, before she was back flipping away, first landing on her feet, before doing one last flip to resume being upside down as usual. OOC: in other words Andx, when you write the response, if Kyker's second kick hits the Grovyle, she will land the third kick immediately afterwards. Spartan919
Jason pushed back, and landed about four or five feet from the Quilava. It looked stunned, but not as if he had done much damage. He shook his head, panting. What does it take to knock these guys out? He winced suddenly, aware of all the burns and scrapes that covered his body. Wow, I took a worse beating than I thought... Shaking his head, Jason began another charge at the Quilava. But as soon as he set his front right foot down, he cried out in pain, and pulled it back up. GAAHH! that hurts! Guess I'm worse off than I thought. I'll have to be more careful from now on... Again Jason began a charge at the Quilava, this time limping heavily. Andx
The Kirlia hadn't really been expecting anything to happen. True she had been cautious but she hadn't reallly seemed to expect anything. So when Zac used Hypnosis the Kirlia was taken by surprise. Still she got away quickly and didn't take the full effects. Though it had made her drowsy. As she looked at Zac rise from the ground her vision went in and out and she could hardly stay up let alone prepare a counter attack.--------The Quilava was trying to get back into focus but wasn't doing well. The Tackle had done more damage than expected. The Quilava didn't see Jason's charge until he was almost right on top of him. Though the Tackle was slower the Quilava was in no position to get out of the way. Instead it attempted to brace itself. Jason hit it with another Tackle and the Quilava was rammed again into the side. Now it was truly disoriented but instead of doing nothing it got angry. The flames on its back flared greatly and then pushed even farther than that. The fires became roughly two feet tall. And then the flames seemed to become liquid like. The flames then shot off in all directions as the Quilava let out a cry. Quilava had just used Lava Plume and avoiding this would require some nimble foot work.--------Kyker's initial blow proved quite powerful, but it was to be expected from a fighting type. The Grovyle sort of blanked as she made contact. The rest of what she did became a blur to him. His Fury Cutters quickly faded as Kyker's attack landed. Kyker's second blow was quick to follow and the Grovyle was no where near able to block it. Kyker followed through and finished the Triple Kick. The Grovyle was knocked into the air and fell down, unable to rebalance himself in midair this time. Still he was able to get up somehow but he wasn't preparing an attack. Kyker most likely still had a good opening.--------Roran's Shadow Ball hit its mark rather well and started pushing the Starmie towards Jordan. Even though she knew it wouldn't do much, Jordan fired an Ember attack at it and then charged in for a Tackle. The attack connected and the force of the Shadow Ball one way and the Tackle another was tough on the Starmie. It seemed with Shadow Balls hitting it things were getting somewhere."Roran, keep it up if you can! We'll only be able to beat this if it's getting nailed with Shadow Balls!" she called out to her friend.--------Flos seemed rather unaffected by both of her attacks failing to land. And she seemed even less impressed by the Tri-Attack. It flew at her and she made no motion to dodge. She took it directly to her back and took all of one step forward. She wasn't pushed in anyway other than that one step."So that's it then? Make yourself immune to the poison, avoid the Petal Dance altogether and then launch that pathetic attack? I'm disappointed. I wanted something more challenging. Perhaps I can force it out of you yet!" she said. She held her two flower hands above her."Allow me to show you what someone who has mastered her moves can do!" she said. She waved her flowers and almost started a graceful dance. All at once Petal Dance started, and in the midst of it Magical Leaf attacks were moving around, the storm of plant attacks charged at Saul and then suddenly Toxic Spikes formed in the attack and flew with it. And then small seeds were seen in the mix, most likely Leech Seed. The storm of attacks flew around Saul and suddenly surrounded him and then hovered in the air where they were. Then the four move combination began flying in at Saul all at once at great speed from all directions.
The Warden
'I have no idea how I'm still capable of fighting. A full blown confusion like thta hsould've knocked me out' he thought as the Kirlia was in no position to fight. He floated towards her and wrapped his gaseous form around her head. 'I'll just suffocate her long enough to knock her out, not to kill her or cause any permanant brain damage' he decided as the Kirlia desperataly gasped for air. Naimo
Ha! I knew it - no, wait, musn't get too cocky - he can still land blows and so on. It looks like confusion's the only way - I guess I must be the more athletic of the two. If I can work out a way to keep this up- Her eyes glanced downwards at the earth, and flashbacks of her drilling her way through in order to avoid capture by Ho-oh came to the forefront of her mind. Of course! Now we'll see how he likes this! He'll be lost for good - and if my senses are correct - Repeating exactly what she had done that day, she was spinning so hard, so furiously that, for the third time in her life, she was going underground, completely disappearing from view. Right now, it was anybody guess as to where she was. Hoping she had got it right, she suddenly erupted out of the ground; the world was a blur to her as a solid mixture of sky, land, mud and rock flew before her very eyes, yet she ignored them all as she once again attempted to land a triple kick. This time, there was no stopping; if the first succeded, the other two would follow immediately. No acrobatic flips, no resting between kicks - she was on fire, aiming to faint and injure the opponent.
Guest Tainted Black
SAul yelled his move this time. "Conversion!" As he said it, his body became somewhat transparent, and he sunk into the ground beneath him, out of Flos' sight, although the attack looked like it connected. He resurfaced behind flos, shooting a Powered up Shadow Ball (Due to type being ghost), and shot it point blank, hopefully damaging the Roselia more than a basic attack ever would have. He drifted to the side a little, looking like he was fading as he did. He was no longer in Flos' line of sight, again.
Headmaster Monokuma
Of course. By hitting it in two directions it'll take more for it to recover from the hits, and more time spent recovering, equals more chances to attack. Roran looked over to Saul and noticed that he was behind the figure and about to launch a Shadow Ball towards it. "Are you ready?" Roran shouted hoping that Jordan would hear him over the cries of battle. "It's now or never!" Roran finished charging up another Shadow Ball, and was looking to Jordan waiting for the signal to fire it. Roran saw Kyker burst out of the ground, and shards of dirt flying all around her. Spartan919
Jason cried out in alarm as the Quilava exploded with rage. Huge blasts of flames shot out, and headed for him. He turned, and began to limp away. He felt the heat behind him. What am I doing?...Running away?! I don't think so! Jason stopped, and spun around. Shockingly, the flames were all around him. He cried out, and tried to dodge, but they slammed into him, and rammed him into the wall of the gorge. He cried out in pain, and fell to the ground. A small flame burned on his tail, but Jason had almost been knocked out. He was barely conscious, and could just barely feel the pain in his body. Andx
The lack of air got to the Kirlia quickly. Tired from fighting she needed to breath more than usual and was able to get nothing through Zac's body. She swiped at him weakly as she was still barely awake and only passed through him. Nothing was working. As the air gave out she fell to her knees and then to the floor passed out. Zac came off and breathed a sigh of relief at finishing the fight as far as he could tell.--------Once Lava Plume had been launched the Quilava fell over passed out. He was far too tired from the fight. Though he has seemed unshaken by attacks while taking them they had done their job. Though Jason wasn't in much more of a preferable state. He was barely hanging on and was quite injured. While he could, he looked over and saw that the Quilava was no longer standing. He'd won! Well, it was more of a tie really.--------Kyker moving underground was about the last thing the Grovyle had been expecting but he tried to prepare regardless. The leaves on both arms glowed green as he prepared Leaf Blade. He looked down wondering where Kyker might appear. As it turned out he had no way to tell. Kyker came flying out of the ground and started and landed a devastating Triple Kick. The Grovyle could tell he would not be getting up again so with his last strength he launched his Leaf Blades at Kyker who wasn't in the ideal position to dodge. The Grovyle fell to the ground after using the attacks, soundly knocked out.--------Jordan saw Roran ready and knew this Shadow Ball had to count. She knew what she had to do. She had to let the shadow ball fire on the Starmie's central jewel. Jordan fired Ember as a distraction. The Starmie jumped back and launched Swift. The incredibly hard to dodge attack landed but Jordan pressed on and used Tackle on the starfish. Then she came around it and got behind. From there she used Bite on its back and held it in place."Now Roran! Hit the jewel!" Jordan yelled out through an obstructed mouth.--------The Shadow Ball hit Flos right on and she was pushed forward as might be expected. She seemed unfazed though. She could no longer see Saul as he moved in and out of sight."Well you finally got something good out. This is getting interesting I must say. Still, you won't be able to pull much more out. You'd best resign yourself." Flos said. With that she sat down of all things. She sat there, closed her eyes, and held her flower arms out to her sides. There was no telling what she could be doing. This position was in no way the beginning to an attack. It left her completely open in addition. There was no telling what it was for.
The Warden
Zac sighed thankfully that the fight was over. Knocking out this Kirlia a distance from her comrades would prevent her from fleeing with them, so they could ask her a few questions. 'Now then, how do I take her out of here, the no hands issue is a problem and' he stopped, an amusing idea just came to him. With an odd noise, he opened his mouth wide and his tongue lashed out, binding the Kirlia several times around. It was truly a bizzare sight. 'Timeh tew go backth' he said and floated off with the Kirlia as suspended as he could.
Spartan919
Jason's vision blurred as he watched his friends battle. He still felt the burning sensation on his tail, but paid no heed. Not that he had the strength to help himself. He took deep breaths, trying to gather enough strength to stand. He winced as his chest exploded in pain. It...feels like I...broke a rib or...two... he thought quietly to himself. Struggling, and with his legs shaking, he managed to stand, albeit unsteadily. He staggered, and fell against the side of the gorge, using it as a crutch, so he could walk. He shook his head, trying to clear his vision so he could better see his friends fight. Naimo
"Ow!" Kyker felt the leaf blade bluntly smack against her head, yet the impact was not as heavy as she had expected it to be. The next few seconds was devoted to her rubbing the spot and wincing, before it suddenly dawned on her the Grovyle wasn't getting up again. "YES!" She briefly punched the air, feeling happier than ever; this was undoubtedly her most memorable battle. If anything, she had confused the Grovyle, and even spun underground once again. However, she soon caught sight of Jason, and immediately spun over to him. "Jason! Are you OK?" she asked solicitiously, this time taking care to actually stop without almost knocking him over. Headmaster Monokuma
As Roran heard Jordon cry for him to launch the Shadow Ball into the Starmie's jewel, he prepared to launch. This... cannot... miss. At this precise moment, he heard Kyker call out to Jason, and he looked over to Jason. He was limping, and had a small patch of burnt fur on his tail. No, he's injured. Badly... Time to LAUNCH! Roran had charged up the Shadow Ball for as long as he could, and when he released it, it blew him backwards a few steps. "Jordan! Jump off!" he screamed. He feared that if she stayed the Starmie may fall over onto her.
Spartan919
Jason teetered, battered by the breezes that Kyker created. He weakly shook his tail, trying to put out the small flames, but to no avail. Again, he shook his head trying to clear his vision. That...that is...Kyker...isn't it? Jason was unsure, his vision was too blurry. He focused on the fuzzy shape of...whatever was in front of him. "I'm...I'm fine," he said weakly. I...I have to help my friends...they might need me... He limped over, and weakly pushed past Kyker. He stumbled, and just managed to stay standing. Again, he shook his head, then continued limping towards his friends. Naimo
"Jason, wait!" Kyker moved forwards, blocking him. "You're hurt, you have to stay here." Even as she spoke, she couldn't help but think back to two years ago, when she and Inferno - her Monferno colleague - were chasing after a Zangoose. She could still remember the fight, and even when she had taken a lot of hits, landing herself in a state similar to Jason, she still persisted to chase after them, despite being barely able to move forwards. Not that she succeeded; Inferno's instance forced her to stay. It had been the only time she had properly failed - personally, anyway; Inferno caught the Zangoose in the end - and the humiliation of being taken into the Pokemon Center still burnt in her mind. "Jason, listen to me; I know you want to help, but you have to stay here ... I know what it's like, I've been in the same situation as you have." She had to fight back tears; the memory still hurt until this day. "Please ... just stay still."
Spartan919
Jason was confused when Kyker got in front of him. Why won't she let me help my friends? He shook his head, trying to clear both his mind and his eyes. Finally, her words made it through to him, and he blinked...Kyker was crying. Completely shocked, he sat down, forgetting about his injuries. He had never expected Kyker to cry, but he wasn't about to question why. Figuring that she would have a good reason, he stayed put. He opened his mouth, and took a deep breath. "I...I'm sorry, Kyker, but...but I have to....help them."
Naimo
"JUST DON'T, IT'S NOT WORTH IT! YOU'RE USELESS RIGHT NOW, YOU CAN'T EVEN MOVE WITHOUT NEEDING SOMETHING TO SUPPORT YOURSELF! FACE IT, JUST STAY WHERE YOU ARE AND DON'T TRY AND HELP YOUR FRIENDS!" The words had exploded from Kyker before she had had a chance to stop herself. When she finished though, she became aware of the awkward silence that was following. Then, in a much smaller voice, she added, "I ... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have shouted at you. Just ... stay where you are, OK?" She slowly rotated on her head until she had her back to Jason. She then put her hands over her face, and let a sigh escape from her fingers, followed by a definate sniff. She began to move away from him, unable to hold back anymore; seeing Jason so helpless was hurting her ... the one memory she wanted to be rid of forever was back, and haunting her ... seeing all those Chanseys, checking she was fine whilst healing her ... knowing that Inferno was outside, waiting for her to come out ... and their boss ... Why couldn't you have just not hurt yourself? Why do you have to force me to yell at you? she thought to herself, tears slowly trickling towards the ground. I can't fail ... failure is to be a loser ... I swore to myself I would never again return to a Pokemon Center, and allow those Chanseys to see my failure. Spartan919
Jason stopped, and turned around. He watched Kyker's upside-down body shudder, and though he couldn't hear her sobs, he knew well enough that she was crying. Confused, he limped back to her, ignoring the pain in his chest, and the flames on his tail. Walking up to her, and hoping she wasn't spinning, he stuck his head out, and tentatively licked her tears away. "Kyker?...What's...what's wrong? I didn't do anything to you, did I? I'm...I'm sorry! I didn't mean it, whatever I said. Please...stop crying." Jason hated when people cried. It unwillingly brought tears to his eyes. Blinking them back, he tried again. "Please..." Guest Tainted Black
Saul floated around Flos, absolutely invisible. What was the deal? She was just sitting there... it made no sense! He just drifted around, occasionally letting himself touch something, and then changing his path of movement. He wanted to confuse her as to his movements and position. When he was behind her, he started a Shadow Ball, but let it fizzle out, quickly moving to her right side, silently. He had no clue what to do now, as he could barely hurt the tough Roselia. Andx
Jordan knew she had to keep the Starmie exactly where it was. She had to put all the power she had into holding the Starmie in position. That way, the Shadow Ball's damage would max out. Knowing he'd get angry, Jordan ignored Roran's call to let go and instead dug in harder. The helpless Starmie was hit straight in the jewel by the on coming Shadow Ball. The jewel was clearly a weak spot because right as it hit Jordan could feel the Starmie almost completely stop trying to resist. Jordan held her ground but it was tough. Then the Shadow Ball was about to push her over and she let go and let the Starmie slam into the wall behind her. The Starmie fell the ground face-down. It had no energy left to fight."We did it Roran!" she called out, very tired but excited at the same time.--------Flos sat motionless. And though to anyone around her it seemed nothing was happening, something was indeed happening. Flos could feel it, the surge of power she would need to get a decisive hit on the ever changing Porygon. She had to focus, it took time but once active was truly destructive. She knew any hit that came her way wouldn't be enough to break her focus. It was almost there. So close and now all Flos had to do was grasp it."There!" she thought as she knew she had summoned the power. The others were gathering back together away from the sights of their battles. Jason was in no condition to keep going and Kyker wanted him to stay down. But Jason wanted to help his friends. It was all he could think of in his mix of injuries and fatigue. The others were looking on at Saul's battle with the Roselia and saw she had been sitting there for some time. All at once the ground starting shaking. Slowly Flos rose to her feet. A strange, somehow visible, wind began circling around Flos. The wind started glowing gold and all at once it was too much to see. Then it subsided and Flos had taken on the appearance of a Shiny Roselia. Her body was now a yellowish color and instead of a blue and red rose for her arms they were now black and pink. It wasn't possible though. She couldn't have taken on Shiny Powers."I'll show you now, the power that has been granted to me!" she said. Suddenly golden vines erupted from the ground all around and lashed out. Saul was confident he couldn't be touched and yet was suddenly pulled into the mess of vines. He became visible upon contact with the vine forest. Saul looked at Flos not understanding what was happening. Flos made no explanation but only held both arms out and pointed the flowers at Saul. A bright light began developing in the center of the roses. Flos was preparing a Solar Beam. The vines brought Saul in closer. Flos intended to fire point-blank. The rest of the group knew something needed to be done, immediately.
The Warden
Zac finally managed to joint he group, hauling the Kirlia was hard work. He released the Kirlia and noticed everyone was staring at something. He looked ahead and saw, his jaw dropped. Saul was bound and completely helpless. 'There is one thing I can do, but it's going to hurt me a lot more than it's going to hurt her' he thought grimly. Dark energy formed a long his body, and grunted as it moved out just a bit in front of him. A large needle formed, aimed straight at Flos. 'CURSE!' he screamed and let fly, the curse zooming ahead towards Flos. Zac however had used all that he had and fell to the ground, truly fainting this time.
