Pokemon: The Challenge of the Garro Region! [Started/ Still Accepting(All Gyms Taken]

Professor Oak has recently traveled to Garro in search of the Ultimate Trainer who will go on to challenge Red, the Pokemon Champion, himself. The Challenge is simple, defeat the 8 Gyms and beat the Elite 4. The challenge is open to all Trainers, whether or not you receive your first Pokemon from Oak or not. But, the challenge is not as easy as it sounds, as after you beat the Gym Leaders and the Elite 4, you must undergo the "Goulris" Challenge, which is still clouded in Mystery.

Biography: Lola is quite Compassionate, and a little Awkward at times, and is extraordinarily Intelligent. She was born in Devil Vine, her Uncle Rosco being the Original Gym Leader. Her Parents had left her with him when she was 5, and had never returned, Rosco speculates that they went and made a "new life" in Kanto. Because her Parents had left her, Rosco had to raise her, and he was never really that good with kids. They never even formed what could be called a friendship, let alone a Father Daughter relationship, and had little to nothing in common. But, they did form a bond through Pokemon, most specifically Pokemon battling, which they both were very fond of. Then, when Rosco got sick he had to pass the "torch" of the Gym to someone else, and chose Lola, to become the new Gym Leader. Her first Pokemon was an Eevee, whom she found hurt in the Jungle's around Devil Vine when she was 8.

He soon walked into the forest with one pokeball, he ran into an injured Cyndaquil with a Bayleaf about to attack it when Thomas saved it and nursed it back to health. He eventually grew attached to Cyndaquil and so did Cyndaquil, Thomas soon caught Cyndaquil and never puts him in his pokeball, so that they can train to the fullest. His team now consists of a Gible, Staravia, and Cyndaquil.

Biography: A kid who lead a normal life until he was 10 years old and got his first Pokemon which was a Turtwig. Now James wants to strive and become the Garro Region champion. However, since he's moving to a new region, he needed to select a new starter Pokemon. So he decided to pick an old friend, Turtwig.

Appearance: Blonde hair. Wears a black jacket with two white stripes and wears black sneakers. His shirt is black and he has an amulet his mother gave him before he left the Sinnoh region. His skin tone is more on the tan side but still has some signs of peach. He has blue eyes.

Biography: Heidi's family used to be very well-known and well-respected in the region, however, more recent events have lead to the absolute destruction of their respect and fortune. Her father used to run a regionally famous business that were one of the lead developers of pokeballs and other items such as pre-packaged pokeblocks. However, When Heidi's parents divorced she chose to live with her father, who traveled to Sin City on a regular basis, it was their that he lost the family fortune and the company went bankrupt, However, he saved just enough money for Heidi to buy her starter pokemon. Then, three days after he went into the forest, he was attacked by a mysterious Pokemon; he had no idea what it was, but it was huge. He was sure that he was finished, until a wild Eevee showed up, and tackled the Pokemon. It was knocked out, and Jason was saved. Ever since then, the only thing Jason has trained, or even caught, has been Eevees. He makes it his life to understand all about the different evolutions, and acquire them all, to pull himself closer to his dream of being the greatest Pokemon master.

This was until she got her first pokemon- a Cyndaquil. She loved her Cyndaquil with all of her heart. She made poffins, she talked to him, and everything. She trained every spare second she had- which was at least 4 hours each day, which was pretty hard work. Soon, she was recognized as a great trainer by all. Marumi worked hard, and pushed her team of pokemon until they were the best they could be. She soon became a Gym Leader at age 15, which was great- she had lived up to her Father's reputation. Now, she never puts her Typhlosion in its pokeball- it is always by her side, even if it is not battling itself. The Typhlosion will simply push his friends- the other pokemon.

However, when Hayley was ten, she found a Delibird, apparently lost and injured, and was sympathetic towards it. She decided she would look after him until he was better again before letting him go - however, when she took the Delibird home, their Spearow sensed a weakness in the Delibird and decided to be a bully towards it. Hayley was naturally outraged and was going to stop the Spearow when Delibird suddenly threw a present at their pet, which had a powerful impact on the Spearow. Since then, Hayley has kept the Delibird, and has thrived in her decision to be an Ice Trainer. Four years ago, her father retired from being the Gym Leader, and she took over from him.

When Eurig was 7, his father returned from Sinnoh with a Piplup, which he gave to Eurig as a starter pokémon. That was the last time his father came home. A few years later, Eurig himself set of on his own journey, visiting Johto and Sinnoh. Having met several gym leaders in both these regions and Garro, he decided to become a Gym leader himself. Eurig is a loner, and was therefore quite happy to take over the gym in Angela's town, which had been abandoned by the previous leader. He generally spends most of his time walking around the surrounding countryside, or working online. His gym is unmanned aside from himself.

A emotional sensitive guy would have never survived on the mean streets of Sin City, so early in life Bryce cloaked his emotions. This new personality and a luck with both Pokemon and the Casino led Bryce to becoming one of the most popular people around. The old Gym Leader, a frequent visitor to the Casino himself, saw Bryce and saw himself in Bryce, so he took Bryce under his wing and taught him how to become the Gym Leader, which he later became. Bryce is also a frequent traveler, leaving his gym to visit many places.

Brennan and Aerodactyl did everything together, and one day, a fellow miner suggested to Brennan to take the Gym challenge, so Brennan did. He discovered a talent for battling, especially with Fossil Pokemon like his Aerodactyl. After defeating all eight Gyms, Brennan was found by the Elite Four, who were looking for a new member. Brennan has been with the Elite Four ever since.

On her year of 16 she entered a 1 pokemon tournament and by that time Growlithe was very experienced in battle. They battled as if they were one. Alexis's years of hand-to paw combat with pokemon gave her a keen sense of which move or which direction a pokemon will move. In the tournament she battled Flannery. 10 seconds into the battle and Flannery was beaten badly. As the prize of the tournament, she was given GYM leader title.

"Come on Machop, get up!" shouted it's trainer, a boy with a reversed baseball cap and shorts.

"Your Machop can't carry on," Eurig told the boy. Bring out your next pokémon and carry on.

"Well, err, I don't have any that can do anything. All I have is Weedle," he explained, holding up a pokéball.

"I did warn you I was one of the better leaders, that's why I usually expect people to have a few other badges before they face me. Never mind. Just go," he sighed, waving the bot out of the door. The moment he withdrew his pokémon, the boy practically fled from the gym.

I really should make the have some other badges rule official, he mused as he withdrew Skarmory, although that does produce other problems. Oh well.

He headed into the back of the gym and sat to a computer. "Now where was I? Ah yes."

Rp Sample: "Turtwig! Use Grass Knot!" James yelled with great enthusiasm. James' Turtwig started having a small greenish aura around him and he planted his feet on the grassy field. Suddenly, the grass around the wodden dummy James had made and placed in front of Turtwig grew at 10 times it's regular rate and wrapped around the stick that kept the dummy standing up. The grass thickened around stick and caused the stick to snap like a toothpick.

"Great job, Turtwig!" James praised.

"Turtwiiig!" Turtwig cried in response.

Biography: Heidi's family used to be very well-known and well-respected in the region, however, more recent events have lead to the absolute destruction of their respect and fortune. Her father used to run a regionally famous business that were one of the lead developers of pokeballs and other items such as pre-packaged pokeblocks. However, When Heidi's parents divorced she chose to live with her father, who traveled to Sin City on a regular basis, it was their that he lost the family fortune and the company went bankrupt, However, he saved just enough money for Heidi to buy her starter pokemon. Rp Sample: [spoiler=Sample]This is the place. Hoshi Ayama walked in her usual half-swagger toward the massive headquarters. Every time she thought about the name “Doctor Hoshi Ayama” she couldn't help but feel a little strange, but maybe if she kept working at it, she would find herself feeling more at home with the idea of being a 'doctor'. Her boots fell heavily and echoed on the linoleum floor, alerting the building's inhabitants to her presence. She looked around the place, it all seemed a bit odd to her, kind of like a hospital, but at the same time, not exactly. Hoshi felt very out of place here, she wasn't dressed like a doctor, she wasn't as you would expect a doctor to be from an emotional standpoint. But yet here she was, Doctor Ayama.

 

Hoshi reached for the letter in her skirt's pocket, it's what lead her here, she was curious. And now, she needed to take a good long look at why she was here once again.

 

Dear Hoshi

 

I have reached word of your successful recovery from the devistating virus. I am glad you managed to recover. Your file had said that after your recovery, you "changed", that there was something strange about your new status that they couldn't identify. This, is exactly what I would like to discuss with you. Meet me at my business building at the corner of Rolep and Lay Street when you have time. I look forward to meeting you in person.

The letter all seemed printed, very well-typed, the kind of letter a large company sent out to quite a few people using a template, all they would have to change is the name. Still, Hoshi was very interested in what this Hirano wanted to discuss with her. She looked over to the front desk where a staff member was busily typing away. Without hesitation, Hoshi promptly walked over to the busy woman and spoke. “Excuse me ma'am.” The woman looked up at her “Where might I find Hirano Shigimechi?” The administrative staff member's expression changed rather quickly. “Mr. Shigimechi's office is on the third floor, it is the sixth door to the left and you won't get in unless you've made an appointment or he has personally asked to see you.” The woman sounded prompt, and polite, yet irritated and doubtful on the reasoning behind the girl's appearance here.

“Thankyou.” With that she walked off over toward the elevator and saw that it was currently on an upward trip. As it arrived on the 6th floor, Hoshi guessed that it's passenger, or passengers were on their way to see Mr. Shigimechi too.

Biography: Ever since Jason was a little kid, he wanted to become the greatest Pokemon master. So, when he turned eleven, even though his parents forbade it, Jason wandered off into the forest. While he was in there, he got lost, and began wandering around in despair. Then, three days after he went into the forest, he was attacked by a mysterious Pokemon; he had no idea what it was, but it was huge. He was sure that he was finished, until a wild Eevee showed up, and tackled the Pokemon. It was knocked out, and Jason was saved. Ever since then, the only thing Jason has trained, or even caught, has been Eevees. He makes it his life to understand all about the different evolutions, and acquire them all, to pull himself closer to his dream of being the greatest Pokemon master.

[spoiler=[b]Rp Sample:[/b]]Jason grinned eagerly as he looked on at his opponent, an old man who trained birds. This is going to be easy, he thought to himself. With a small laugh ("Hah!"), Jason pulled out his Pokeball. Throwing it, he shouted out loud.

 

"Jolteon, I choose you!" With a flash, the Pokeball opened, and out came an animal that seemed like a mix between a hedgehog and a yellow dog. "Let's do this, old man!" he shouted over to his opponent. The old man just tapped his cane on the ground and laughed.

 

"You really think you can beat my birds with just a bunch of dogs?" he called out in a high, estranged voice. Jason growled, and swung a hand out to point at his opponent.

 

"Trust me!" he yelled out angrily. "You, and all your birds, are going to be defeated! Jolteon, Thunderbolt!"

Biography: Ricardo started training Pokemon when he was 11. Just before he left on his journey, his dad asked him how he would train Pokemon without a starter. Then Ricardo suddenly felt like an idiot because there were no more Pokemon left at Prof. Oak's lab. So his dad gave him his first Pokemon, a Dratini. A year after he left that day, Ricardo came back to Droop Rock Town and showed his dad his Dragon Pokemon collection. Suddenly, his dad challenged him to a battle. His dad said if he won, he would get the gym. However, if he lost, he would have to give up Pokemon training and work for the rest of his life. After a grueling battle, Ricardo beat his dad with his faithful Dratini at his side. His dad then hugged him and gave him a case of Drakonic Badges and said "Son, you are the new Gym Leader."

Biography: Growing up Cayden was always teased for being a 'pretty boy' and acting slightly feminine. During his early years, this drove him more or less into complete isolation from people, and he formed a close bond with the family's pet Skitty, while learning to play guitar. When he turned 14, a major change in Cayden's life occured, while previously he was mocked and treated poorly by people, his sweet and sensitive attitude began to appeal to women, and Cayden became quite the ladies man. This gave Cayden a new-found confidence, he began to train his friend Skitty, he entered contests, and battling tournaments. Finally, Cayden became skilled in the 'arts' of Pokemon battling. And entered a tournament to crown a new gym leader due to the previous leader's retirment. The tournament ended in a draw, however Cayden was declared the leader, the reason behind this is rumoured to be that he was, at the time, dating the daughter of the retiring leader.

I've changed my app a little, since I figure there should be at least one gym leader that's more than a couple of years out of their teens. It's really just advancing him another decade or so down his own life history, so he's the same character. I also added a bit more on his pokémon, although it doesn't change his roster.

Biography: Thomas was born a quite normal kid, with more than his fair share of crisis. He soon grew up to love pokemon, and he eventually wanted one. He soon walked into the forest with one pokeball, he ran into an injured Cyndaquil with a Bayleaf about to attack it when Thomas saved it and nursed it back to health. He eventually grew attached to Cyndaquil and so did Cyndaquil, Thomas soon caught Cyndaquil and never puts him in his pokeball, so that they can train to the fullest. His team now consists of a Gible, Staravia, and Cyndaquil.

Thomas was training with his Cyndaquil when he heard a noise, he soon turned his head to the source of the noise and so did Cyndaquil, they then shared a few minutes of unity while looking at each other and then back to the noise, the two soon walked slowly to the source of the sound and they saw a chimchar, Thomas said silently yet with much energy, "Hm, this would be a good chance to train, let's go Cyndaquil."

"Cynda." Cyndaquil said while nodding.

"Another chance to polish our skills." Thomas said while smiling.

Biography: Hayley is a resident of Coral City, and grew up aspiring to be a Gym Leader like her father was (he was the Gym Leader of Coral City at the time). They used to raise a Spearow as a pet (which was fitting, considering how her father specialised in Flying Pokemon), and she was expected to also be a Flying trainer. However, when Hayley was ten, she found a Delibird, apparently lost and injured, and was sympathetic towards it. She decided she would look after him until he was better again before letting him go - however, when she took the Delibird home, their Spearow sensed a weakness in the Delibird and decided to be a bully towards it. Hayley was naturally outraged and was going to stop the Spearow when Delibird suddenly threw a present at their pet, which had a powerful impact on the Spearow. Since then, Hayley has kept the Delibird, and has thrived in her decision to be an Ice Trainer. Four years ago, her father retired from being the Gym Leader, and she took over from him.

Hayley hummed a gentle tune to herself as she finished cleaning Spheal, who had somehow managed to cover himself in mud again. It was understandable that a younger Pokemon would get himself into trouble, but even when her Glaceon had still been an Eevee, or when Delibird was still new to her household, or even when Snorunt was still in his childish years, none of them had ever been as problematic as Spheal. Not to mention how Spheal was, undoubtedly, fast approaching his evolution into a Sealeo; all he would need was to have a little more training, and that would be it.

 

"Now you," she said in a motherly tone to the now-clean Pokemon. "Stay out of trouble, kay? You're not a child anymore." There was no indication as to whether or not her Spheal understood; he just clapped and started wobbling around. Her Glaceon warily moved aside, almost knocking into the sleeping Cloyster. Snorunt was curiously approaching Spheal, and Delibird was flying overhead, sounding as excited as ever. Hayley just smiled at how they got on so well; whilst Glaceon prefered to be with Cloyster - Hayley highly suspected she liked being around "brainer" Pokemon, and Cloyster fitted into that section without a fault - she would still look out for Spheal and Snorunt, just like an older sister would do for her younger brothers.

 

Delibird didn't appear to fit in the picture as much as the others did, though that was mainly because he preferred to be around Hayley more. It was explainable - no one could have guessed that eleven years later, Hayley and Delibird would still be together, still maintaining their friendship like it had only happened yesterday. She held her arms out and caught Delibird as he performed another one of his fancy dives; it was like catching a winged pillow, except that pillow was living and had a tendency to peck you on the ear. Which Delibird did when Ayme held him close to her; it was just a light peck, and it barely left a scratch.

Biography:Alucard was the son of the Evolution Gym leader. At the age of 6 he was given his first pokemon by his father, it was an eevee. He loved the eevee like a brother and a best friend. At the age of 10 his father started training him and gave him 7 eevee eggs as the family breed eevee's when not battling. Dedicated to be like his father he hatched and evolved the first three using a fire, water, and thunder stone. The next 2 evolved into Umbreon and Espeon, and the last 2 into Leafeon and Glaceon. He inherited the gym at the age of 16 when his father traveled to the sinnoh region to study the moss covered and ice covered rocks which cause eevee to evolve.
