Nihilist's Duel Disk appeared on his arm "You really think you're stronger than God Neos?" He asked Tempester, shaking his head "I Activate Tabula Rasa." There was a burst of light that covered three city blocks and Tempester was replaced by Bubbleman and Featherman "Double Zero Slash." The futuristic samurai demon said, slicing through Bubbleman and Featherman in one swing of his translucent sword "Ha, some Heroes you turned out to be." He muttered, sheathing his sword as a half dozen Antique Gear Knights and Soldiers decided to protect their town somewhere involving a lower chance of getting killed.

OOC: Apparently by "sometime today", I meant tomorrow.

IC: CONTINUED.

When we last left the Duel, Perfect Machine King had just become Omega Machine King through the power of Scrap Fusion, and had attacked Ancient Gear Gadjiltron General.

"It's my turn. I draw. I'm afraid I must end this here and now. I cannot allow you to continue destroying both of our countries. I activate Burial from the Different Dimension, returning my Ancient Gear Golem and my Ancient Gear to my Graveyard. Then, I activate Monster Chain. I can return a monster in my Graveyard to my hand, but I can't Summon this turn. Finally, I activate Power Bond, fusing my Ancient Gear Golem with my Ancient Gear Beast and Soldier! Be born, Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem!"

The enormous centaur-like machine rose from the card, and glared at Omega Machine King.

"Attack!"

"Pah! That won't be enough to win against me!"

"But Powerbond doubles the Fused monster's ATK!"

"What! NOOOO!"

"Activate De-Fusion!"

A Robotic Knight in the corner, the same one that drove the Gatling Buggy, had done the deed. Perfect Machine King split from Omega, leaving the regular Machine King to take the blow and be destroyed, literally. GajiGeneral watched the coward flee. The first thing he did afterward was throw his sword in the bushes and kill the Robotic Knight. Then, he signaled, and the Ryoma-ru and Elemental Heroes returned to Geartown to battle Nihilist Soldier.

OOC: Blackstone, that's your cue.

Nihilist Soldier had just finished dispensing of a particularly annoying Gadget Soldier and a Gajidragon "Is there no one here that is worthy of my power?! He asked the cowering Antique Gears surrounding him "Come on now, you have me surrounded, surely you must have an advantage over one little level four Monster. Even if I was the one that brutally murdered your God." THAT apparently hit a nerve with the Antique Gear Golem that was leading them because he charged through the ring of Machines, only stopping to Fuse himself with a nearby Knight and Soldier into Ultimate Antique Gear Golem, and leaped into the air, aiming to trample his opponent "Tabula Rasa." Nihilist Soldier said, slicing at the Soldier and Engineer and dashing to the left of Golem "It's a pity that you're immune to my power, it would have been quite poetic if you're arrogant God and this arrogant Golem died by the same power. But, alas, you will have to resign yourself to having a unique death. I hope you can forgive me." With this, he held up his hand and shouted "Meaningless Struggle!" before slicing Golem clean in half.

"OY!" Zignistion ran to meet Nihilist Soldier, who looked like he was cutting up Gears left and right. "What the hell do YOU think you're doing?!" He activated 2 cards in his Duel Disk. "Cold Wave! Chain Blocker!"

A diminutive creature appeared in a bolt of lightning, and fired more lightning out of its hands. Now Nihilist Soldier could definitely not move.

Zignistion fired some lightning into the sky. That should get the planet's attention. For now, he had to keep an eye on this one. He's tricky, if nothing else.

Nihilist Soldier shook his head as a clone of himself appeared beside Botisen "Zero Strike." He said, slicing the Ryoma-ru in half and then flickering out of existence.

 

"Did you really think that I would show up in person?" Nihilist asked, grinning devilshly "This body that you see before you is nothing but a Token Monster, a blank slate. In fact, unless I'm mistaken, this is the exact same body that slaughtered your God Neos like a Mystical Sheep." He noted idly that he still couldn't move and the Token returned, causing the first Token's eyes and facial expression to go blank while the new one became the dominant body.

 

"Pity, I quite liked that body, he got things done." The new Token told Zignistion "I don't suppose you could let him remain intact?"

"Sorry, but a job's a job. No hard feelings, though, right?" Zignistion snapped his fingers and an immense bolt of lightning shot down and fried the old Nihilist Soldier, turning it to nothing. He turned and faced the new one.

"I'm assuming now that Gaja-whoever's beaten Machine King, you've got some last minute superstrategy to kill us once and for all? I bet you do, but I hope you don't." Zignistion had no idea what he was facing down. Was it some sort of big bad Nihilist thingie, or did Machine King have the "backup" plan?

OOC: Zignistion is very genre savvy.

"Tabula Rasa." Nihilist Soldier said, flickering out of existence briefly then reappeared with his clawed hand on Zignistion's chest, emitting another flash of light covering three city blocks, though his ZERO Beasts were unaffected, continuing to rip everything organic in their sights to shreds, which, by now, was limited to the Ryoma-ru's and the Elemental Heroes, having already eaten everything else. "I don't see the point in all these grandiose schemes and Rube-Goldberg plans. That way of thinking is woefully inefficient for my taste. I'd much rather force you to decide between saving your people, thus leaving me to my own agenda, or fighting this Token body of mine and letting them die, but stalling my plans all the while." The light finally faded and Zignistion felt like he was being ripped apart from the inside, which, of course, he was, until he was reduced to his Material Monsters.

• When there is a Synchro Monster on your opponent's side of the field, by skipping your Battle Phase, remove that Synchro Monster from play and Special Summon the appropriate Synchro Material Monsters from your opponent's Graveyard. During your opponent's End Phase, return the removed Monster to the Extra Deck.

OOC: Sorry about the wait, but I've been having literally fleeting internet time.

 

IC: This was a horrible decision for anyone to make. On the one hand, that deus-ex-machina of a token would just keep hacking and slashing and killing pretty much everyone. On the other, if he were to be let go, he'd likely kill everyone with his other backup plan. So it seemed like there was to be no resolution that wouldn't end in mass disaster.

 

OOC: I'm thinking that we should reboot this. The only people remaining are you and me (even Y-tak has ditched it.) Maybe we could start somewhere else, but not use the Earth Nation? Or have that be the "other" conflict in the next one? Either way, I don't see this going anywhere.
