After some delibiration, the small battalion of soldiers burst through the doors to the throne room.

The room was decorated with huge gears rotating like clockwork, and at the other end was Gajidgeneral, the mayor of Geartown and second only in the Machine Empire to the Perfect Machine King himself.

"Gajidgeneral, call off your forces, and surrender, or we will be forced to destroy you!"

Marshall, Rahz, and Onnako readied their Duel Disks or combat.

"I tried." Alius said with a shrug, walking into the throne room after the soldiers "Soldiers of Taicho, I hereby declare you enemies of the Planet Series. I would highly recommend that you surrender yourselves peacefully before facing the wrath of the Six Nation Army." As he spoke, five futuristic samurai stormed in from the hallway and surrounded the Taichoans. The first had black hair, purple armor, a visor over his eyes, and a black katana pressed against Marshall's throat, "Pleasant as ever, Irou" The kid remarked, turning to the second, a man dressed in red armor with dynamite acting as chainmail and holding a lit stick of dynamite "Put that out, Kamon." He order as the samurai did as he was told, while Alius addressed the third, a man with artificial legs, green armor, and two glowing katanas crossed around Rahz's throat "Nisashi, you're worse than Irou." The fourth man was covered almost completely in blue armor. He carried a spear that was stabbed into the ground "Yariza." Alius said simply, nodding and addressed the final man, wearing orange armor and carrying a polearm "Zanji, what happened to Yaichi? Taking a personal day?" As if to answer Alius, an arrow shot through the window, through Onnako's hair, and landed just between his feet "Oh, right." He muttered, returning his focus to the Taichoans "Anyway, by the power bestowed on me by my late brother Neos and the Planet Series Council, I hereby declare war on Taicho." He said solemnly "Gajilgeneral, I am terribly sorry for this inconvenience. I trust you have enough free jail cells?" He asked as five of the Six Samurai began relieving the Taichoans of their weapons "Give the criminals until the morning to decide if they are to be treated as prisoners of war, to be given fair treatment until such time that a hearing can reasonably be held, or enemy combatants, to be executed in the manner customary to the EARTH Nation." He looked at the Taichoans again, his eyes heavy with sadness and regret "Please, accept my humblest apologies, you left me with no choice."

 

"Sparkman, Clayman, Edgeman, Necro Darkman, Bubbleman, Burst Lady! Form up!" As Forestman called, six Heroes appeared in a flash and Ocean transferred the Duel Disk over to him. He then began the process of Fusing the six Heroes into six new Heroes, "Done." He said as Thunder Giant, Plasma Viceman, Dark Brightman, Tempester, Phoenix Guy, and Flame Wingman appeared in front of the Ryoma-ru. After all that, Forestman still had a Miracle Fusion, Polymerization, and Sparkman's card in his hand "You sure these are the ones you want?"

"Kid! You have no idea what you're dealing with!" Marshall yelled. "These machines are tyrants! They strip-mine the land, making it unlivable! They take our people into slavery, making them work in their factories, and anyone who willingly submits to them gets 'upgraded' into a Machine themselves! They're only the legitimate government of the EARTH Nation because they will destroy anyone who opposes them! The Kingdom of Taicho, along with several other countries, has managed to weaken the Machine Empire! accoding to your rules, if Taicho controls Geartown and the surrounding area, we will become the nation that has the most land, and therefore the one with the power in the EARTH Nation!"

"Would you rather have machines who do nothing but inflict pain upon others and destroy the lnd they are supposed to protect, or Taicho, a land of free people who plans on uniting all of Sogen under one banner, and make it a true EARTH Nation?"

"Yep. We're good. Personally, out of all the Elemental Heroes, we're quite partial to Sparkman. He then assigned 3 members of his battalion to each of the E-Heroes, to form six squads of 4 (counting the E-Heroes). All were acquainted with each other, and everyone stood together.

"When you're ready, Ocean."

"SILENCE!"

Gajigeneral bellowed the word as the human nattered on.

"Do you know how WE have suffered? Have YOU looked around this land as of late? What you call 'strip mining' is merely our resurrection of our fallen brethren from ages past. If you looked at Geartown, you would see that all of our parts are recycled. Any factory you choose is self-sufficient. We have long since abandoned the need for manual labor, and thus we have abandoned slave labor. The only reason we have not declared war on Perfect Machine King is that he would crush us under his boot as if we were ants. When the Elemental Heroes came forth with an alliance, I realized that this was our opportunity. I and my people no longer wish to fight, Young Neos, but we will accept your terms of alliance on three terms:

1) That you not take these soldiers prisoner.

2) That you join me and the nation of Taicho against the Machine Empire.

3) That you mediate a discussion with myself and the leader of the Taichan nation about land. I agree that the EARTH nation should be just that, and union seems the best way of doing so.

 

What say you, young Neos?"

Marshall was dumbstruck. He couldn't believe what Gajidgeneral was proposing.

"You...you want to JOIN us?!?"

He took a step back in shock, then grimaced again.

"But how do I know that I can trust you? That you really aren't trying to let our guard dow-"

Marshall remembered the Samurai surrounding him, and stopped, grinning this time.

"Get the runt to call off his friends, and I'll relay your request to Lord-General Freed."

"The fact of the matter is, you decided to attempt to assassinate the ruler of the EARTH Nation on the day of the negotiations between them and the Planet Series. By doing so, you jeopardized those negotiations. Had you succeeded in killing Lord Gajilgeneral, you would only have succeeded in throwing the largest of the Six Attribute Nations, not to mention one of the two that border the ZERO Empire, into complete chaos. If I'm just a kid, as you say, then how am I the only one able to see that, despite any alleged wrongdoing Gajilgeneral may or may not have committed against your people, for the foreseeable future, Gajilgeneral is the only choice the EARTH Nation has." Alius glowed briefly and the 'fins' on his forehead and elbows elongated. In addition, he gained red lines over his body and the blue jewel on his chest reshaped itself into a perfect circle and was then surrounded by three red triangles. It was only after all this that the general started speaking "I shall place the Taichoans under the protective custody of the Six Samurai, both to protect you from them, and to protect them from some of your more radical citizens. I shall have one of my Neo-Spacian friends deliver their message to Freed, while they stay, safe and unharmed, in whichever domicile you see fit for them."

"Kid, I told you to back off!" Marshall cried out, angrily. "First off, the big guy over there isn't the ruler of the Machine Empire! He's Gajidgeneral, The Perfect Machine King's second-in-command and current ruler of Geartown, a major ally to the Empire and an adjunct state under their direct control. Second, the EARTH Nation works on how much land a country controls. Whoever has the most land has the biggest representation in the EARTH Nation's forums. The Machine Empire USED to have the most land, and therefore the most representation. And if we can get this treaty ratified, then Taicho will become the defacto ruling country, and we can start to end this war!"

"And Third, my boys don't like swords in their Captain's face."

Seveal soldiers charged in and surrounded the Six Samurai.

"You try anything funny, my boys send you to Hell shortly after you send me."

"I don't know about you Prisma, but I really don't like that Marshall character," Gainer said to Prisma, both of them hearing everything that was going on. "No sir, I do not like him. He is a total nuisance, and he is only making things worse. If he were to get his way, the ZERO-empire could win this war." Prisma replied. "Yes yes... that is probably true. But for now, he is just a minor annoyance." Gainer said laughing. Prisma laughed in response. "Well, we might as well make our selves known. Things can't get any more boring for us now." Gainer said, walking out so that everyone else could see him. Before completely walking out, Gainer said "You better stay there though. Wouldn't want anyone knowing that you're here. You're ability could come in handy some time in the future." And with that, Gainer walked out so that he could be seen by everyone there. "Well well well... seems kind of ironic that a meeting meant to establish peace is only raising the hostility around here, huh?" Gainer said smiling. "Do you guys know how bored I've gotten just listening to you people? Sure, it's useful information, but I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines here. Isn't their some ZERO-attribute guys we could duel? Because, and I hope I'm not being to much of an 'Eager Beaver', but I'd like to plan an offensive SOME-time this century."

"I will agree to that, General Neos Alius, but not for the reasons that you specify." He turned to a rather large gear and stabbed the sword into its center, turning it against its current path. The gear and the surrounding gears rotated, and the wall moved to show a rather well-furnished room, complete with small library and enough room and beds to house a small army.

"The Taichans may reside in this room for the time being. We have it kept for times when organic dignitaries visit. This is the room most suitable for the current circumstances. Just note, however, that the door is unopenable from the inside, and can only be opened from the outside by this sword. Do the Taichans find this acceptable?" he asked, turning to the Captain.

Marshall shook his head.

"Kid, you aparently have a very poor grasp of local politics, so I'll simplify things for you. I gotta get word back to Lord-General Freed, or at least give him a signal, or else he'll commence the attack that's supposed to occur just before dawn. And dawn's getting pretty close."

"Now will you please let the lovely Miss Onnako here free so she can alert the Lord-General?"

Onnako slapped Marshall on the cheek.

"I am NOT your slave, Captain!"

She then applied a healing salve to his cheek.

"But I agree with you. The Lord-General must be warned of the new situation."

"Lord-General Freed will be notified of the new situation when the full wrath of the Planet Series Council descends on his location." The newly Gemini Summoned Alius bowed to Gajilgeneral "I am sorry, but I am afraid they have left me no choice. I asked them not to come here, they ignored me, I offered them a chance at living, and they declined, we both tried to achieve a peaceful resolution of this conflict and, again, they disobeyed." As soon as Alius finished talking, the armband on his left arm turned into a Dark World Duel Disk and he triggered a face-down on it, "Compulsory Evacuation Device." He stated as the Exiled Force vanished, returned to their card form in Lord-General Freed's possession "Now, two options again: resist and be killed on the spot, or go peacefully and live until we can get you a fair trial. Though, you'll probably die then too, but at least you'll live longer." He then looked at Gajilgeneral "Lord Gajilgeneral, if you would be so kind as to send word back to the Planet Series authorizing the swift and immediate destruction of Taicho." He then left the room, pausing to speak with Hell Gainer, placing his hand on the Evil Heroes arm "If they try to resist, kill them." He said, his voice harsh "But be swift about it." He then walked out, into a secluded corner of the Antique Gear Castle, and wept, cursing his own weakness.

 

"I would be glad to upgrade Flame Wingman and Phoenix Guy to their Shining forms if you want." Forestman offered, playing the Gear Town Field Spell and teleporting their ranks to just outside the city walls "I think it would be best to keep three squads roaming the city, two in the castle, and leave the last one guarding the negotiation chamber itself, do you concur?"

As they were taken away, Marshall cried out.

"Please, General! Listen to reason! This ZERO threat might stand a chance of stopping if we can unite the factions of Sogen! We have already proved that we want to work together instead of squabble over land or our differences! Now's the chance for centuries of endless warfare to finally be over!"

"Please..."

Marshall shad a single tear as he was pulled away.

Zignistion whispered something to one of his men. "No need. As much as we like Sparkman, we also like variety. It's tactically sound." he said as that man disappeared behind a building. That man re-emerged around the opposite corner, and whispered something into Zignistion's ear. He nodded, then turned to the Heroes, just as Forestman asked his question.

"We're going to need to be a lot more strategic than that. My man just did a little espionage, and apparently there's going to be a big Taichan raid on this place in a matter of hours. We need to talk to that Gajer-whatever right now."

Gajilgeneral found Neos Alius alone in one of the supply sheds.

"Young Neos. I realize that this is a moment of weakness for you. But I ask you to answer the plea of the soldier. We all want peace, anywhere we can get it. And I believe we can start with ending the war between us and the Taichans. Now, I have an idea for how we can appeal to the king, but I need your trust in me. We CAN make this work."

Forestman nodded at Zignistion "Yes, but the only difference between Flame and Phoenix and their Shining forms is that the Shinings get power from their fallen comrades, the effects are still the same otherwise."

 

Ocean, by this time, had taken back the Duel Disk and nodded "Do you recommend a defensive strategy, or do you just wanna crush the raiders before they have a chance to do anything?" The blue hero asked.

 

"My brother would agree with you. Heh, my brother could even accomplish it. But I'm not him." Alius said, now in his Normal Monster state "I tried to negotiate with them, but they're too stubborn, and I'm not strong enough to make them see reason. Every other option has failed, Lord Gajilgeneral... I've failed." He teared up again "No, I'm sorry but the only way to get the EARTH Nation to rally for peace is by force. Taicho is one of the strongest factions, if they get wiped out, then the smaller factions will be forced to join. Sogen, and all of the EARTH Nation, will be united under one banner."

((Whoa. Didn't know the little guy had the guts to condemn an entire kingdom to death.))

 

"Did you just say what I thought I heard you say?" A voice rang out from behind the two.

A man in his prime was standing nearby, silver and gold armor on him, a beautiful lade in his hand, and a royal headband, signifiying his position as Lord-General.

Freed, one of the most legendary warriors to walk the Duel Dimensions, was standing in the doorway.

"I apologize for the delay. Onnako was able to get out the signal to come and parley, and now I am here to talk. But I do not like what I am hearing. Conspiracies against the country that I have chosen to side with, a country that is better off alive then dead? Not a very goodway of starting a ceasefire, eh, Gajilgeneral?"

Freed went over and shook the hand of the mechanical lord.

"I received your message, but I decided to put up the facade of war for just a bit longer to deceive old Perfect so we could enact our plan. But what's the tyke doing here, old friend?"

[Bringerofcake]

"General, meet Neos Alius. Younger brother of the famed Elemental Hero, and the current leader of the Planet Series. He's come to ask my support in the fight against the ZERO nation. I counter-offered by asking for a ceasefire."

Gajigeneral slumped his shoulders. One could see the fatigue and rust in his gears.

"Freed, I tire of war. My people do as well. But the Perfect Machine King drives us ever onward, and we wish no more. Will you accept our aid in the fight against the Perfect Machine King?"

"Hmm... let's hang back for now. The gears are fighting a defensive war, and I don't intend to disrupt it like that. Also, who knows? The negotiations could involve the Taichans as well. Hear that?" he told the troops. "Find some good cover and settle in. We're going to be here for a while."

Freed patted his friend on the back, which was no easy feat, since Gajilgeneral was the bigger of the two men.

"Of course. But I think you might be getting a bit rusty, because that was our plan all along, remember? Get you over to our side, then use the info stored in Geartown's databanks to deal several critical strikes to the Machine Empire's networks. Quickly assault Central Command, and reboot the entire empire as our ally. That will give the United Nations of Sogen, an organization soon to be created with this treaty, control over about 75% of Sogen, and the rest should be easy to sway over to our banner."

"Only a few brief battles, and the EARTH Nation will become a reality, and I can get on with better things in my life, like gardening. I think you'll love gardening, old friend."

"I'm not one for nature, General Freed. When this war ends, I'm going to devote my time to improving the quality of my people...literally. With Machine King's resources, I can increase efficiency, reduce the rate of rust. I can finally strike the "Antique" from "Antique Gear Gadjilgeneral." But for now, we have a war to fight. Come," he said, putting a hand out to Neos Alius, "we have to plan our attack."

As the men got in their positions, a little gear was zipping around the Castle Gate. Upon seeing it, Zignistion walked over to it.

"Tell your boss the Planet Series negotiators are here." he said with a smile.

The Ancient Gear zipped off again.

"But first, one thing I must attend to."

Freed walked over to Alius.

"I need my subordinates back, Alius. I can't do this without Captain Marshall."

"Freed, as an enemy of the Planet Series Council, I suggest you leave." Alius said quietly "I can't risk your plan failing. As much as it pains me, the easiest, no, the way that leads to the least amount of suffering for the most people, is to take out Taicho and show the other factions the price of disobedience. It's not the best choice, it's not right, or just, or fair, or anything like that. But it's my only option. I'm not as strong as my brother, I'm not as smart, or as cunning, heh, I can't even pull off a Contact Fusion. In order to win this war, I have to act and pray that no one calls my bluff. There's simply no way for me to learn anything else." He stood up and glowed again, Gemini Summoning himself so he looked like Neos, only smaller and bluer.

Freed sighed as he readied his Duel Disk.

"I guess I have no choice. I have worked 5 years on this plan, and I have no intention of letting it be stopped here!"

He turned to Gajilgeneral.

"Old friend, will you aid me in this darkest hour of mine?"

"I believe Freed can vouch for me when I say that a good leader must use what opportunities he finds to his advantage. You have two enemies reconciling in the face of a worldwide threat, and you turn it down? Why? Because of your own stubbornness. This is a golden opportunity, handed to you on a silver platter. The path of least suffering? For whom? If you go through with this war against Taicho, both of the nations will suffer, leading to an easy sweep by Perfect Machine King. The EARTH nation will become fully mechanized, and Sogen will cease to exist. On top of that, was it Freed who flouted your orders? No, it was his subordinate, who acted rashly, without knowing the plan. Now that we all know the plan, we can enact it, and make the EARTH nation become one, as well as add a legion to our num-"

He paused as the Ancient Gear relayed its message.

"Excuse me."

He left the room and headed for the main hall of the Ancient Gear Castle.

OOC: And this is where I sign off for the night. Things are getting rather intense, no?

"Please listen to reason." Freed begged the tiny glowing hero. "I don't want to fight you. I want you to understand that condemning millions of innocent souls to death is something that Neos wouldn't do. He would find the path that has the least casualties, and I am practically shoving that path into your face. Please, just think about what you plan to do, and know that Neos wouldn't want you to go down that road."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"I'm not thinking of the people of Sozen, or Gear Town, or the EARTH Nation. My concerns lie with the FIRE, WATER, WIND, DARK, and LIGHT Nations. If Taicho is destroyed swiftly and the other factions unite, then the ZERO Empire will not be able to invade. If Taicho is destroyed slowly, or if the factions refuse to unite and instead civil war breaks out, the ZERO Empire will see no reason to invade and will instead focus on the FIRE Nation, which is much less hospitable to outsiders and thus easier to defend." Alius's Duel Disk once again grew from his wristband "Freed, I am giving you this one last chance. Defeat me in a Duel and sacrifice the EARTH Nation to the ZERO Empire, or surrender peacefully and give the other factions a chance at unity." He shook his head "Your offer entitles nothing but death. While you're wasting time slowly unifying your Nation, the ZERO Empire will almost offhandedly crush you. If you live, the EARTH Nation, and all thirteen dimensions, die. If you die, we have a chance."

Proto, Alpha and Dasher had hurried to the Geartown Castle when they heard Grand Mole's information, and now found themselves watching as a duel was about to start.

"It's Alius!" Alpha shouted and waved towards Alius, trying to get the Hero to see him.

"Shut up, Alpha, he's going to duel so don't disturb him!" Dasher held his hand over Alpha's mouth. "But who's that other guy?"

"That's Freed, the leader of the Taichans..." Proto said and watched as the duel began. "But why are those two dueling?"
