Making new deck....HELP!!!

Bowtiemyass

Question

I am trying to make a machine-type deck, and I kinda need a little help.

First of all: this is my first deck, so dont be too harsh on how I decie to pick my cards.

Second: How many cards are you allowed to have, cause I was gonna have twenty monsters, spells, and taps each. is hat ok?

Third: I will post the cards I have later, cause I dont have much time.

Fourth: If there is any other info you could tell me to help me out it would be much appreciated.

Thx, ahead.

Update: Sorry for making everyone wait, Ive picked out some cards, cause the first deck I wanted to make was a morphtronic deck(I only picked it cause I liked the way they looked in the cartoon). I am going to make another machine deck with regular cards. I only have monsters for now, but I will have traps and spells later.

[spoiler=monsters for morphtronic deck]

Note: this deck also has Some "Roids" in it.

1. Decoyroid

2. Truckroid

3. Ambulanceroid

4. Rescuroid

5. Ambulance Rescueroid

6. Gadget Hauler

7. Morphtronic Slingen

8. Morphtronic Videon

9. Morphtronic Boarden

10. Morphtronic Magnen x2

11. Morphtronic Scopen

12. Morphtronic Datatron

13. Morphtronic Cameran x2

14. Gadget Arms x2

15. Morphtronic Clocken

I most likely wont go out to buy any

If you don't want to buy cards' date=' you can't get better and you can't win. It's that simple.

If you don't want to buy the cards that make a good deck, then we can't really help.

I know, and truth is. I probably wont ever play, I just wanted to make a deck for the heck of it. I dont really care about the games(Card games and video games).

This should probably be in "My Deck" but what the heck.

You can have between 40 and 60 cards (may soon be increased to 80) in your Deck, but it is recommended that you keep it towards 40, since you have a better chance of drawing your best cards. Also, in my experience, it is better to make Monsters just under half (or half) the number of cards since you can tribute monsters or otherwise get rid of them (clearing your field) while Spell and Traps cannot (if they're continuous or haven't been activated), so too many Spells and Traps can severely limit your options and give you dead draws.

As for a Machine-Type Deck, you have a few options. There are "Cyber" Decks (focussing on "Cyber Dragon" and its fusions), "Machine King" Decks (getting that and "P.M.K." out quickly and filling your field to boost its ATK). "Ancient Gear" and "Ally of Justice" Decks also are quite common. "Reactors" are a rarer, but brutal Deck type.

Most Machine-Types fit in well with other Machines, but you will need staple cards such as "Sangan" and "Breaker the Magical Warrior", and depending on the Attribute of your top monsters, one of the double tributers.

Also, since a lot of the more powerful Machine-Types require tributes, a "Mausoleum of the Emperor" and "Ultimate Offering" will help summon them with greater speed and in some cases reduced cost. Use the Wikia to find staples and Machine-specific support cards. If you find a lot of your monsters are of the same Attribute, add some support for that Attribute as well.

And I think these tips are really good,I've never did a Machine-type deck, but if you like it,it's ok.

As for the help:If you wanna finish your opponent fast, then I would say a strong deck(brutal). But if wanna make a deck full with effective monsters, then you should put trap cards which negate the opponent's attacks, and for magic cards, equip ones would be the best. The card "Paralyzing potion"would be very good, making one of your opponent's monster unable to attack. And the opponent can't really use that card because your deck is made of machine type monsters.

Read the link. It's a Basic Deckbuilding FAQ. That should help quite a bit.

There are also Machinas, which came out in the latest Structure Deck, Machina Mayhem. My suggestion is to buy 3 copies of MM and build a 40-card deck out from it, using the best cards from the deck and a few staples like Heavy Storm, Mystical Space Typhoon, ect.

Choose either Cyber Decks, Gadget decks, or Machina decks, then look through the "YOUR DECK" section for examples of those. I can get you an effective Cyber Deck really quickly if you want me to.
