Dueling Philosophy: A Game of Money?

Recommended Posts

Look, I'm not exactly rich, but even I can see that the restrictions aren't "pointless". This game, like life, follows the world's universal law of the rich getting richer.

...and that entire post of yours is just the standard gobbledeguk I hear from anyone trying to defend things like this as anything other than cheating a company out of money. I know what that sort of thing is like, because I've been on both extreme ends. However, it's still no excuse.

I have nothing to say on the "finding opponents" issue. I've been open about playing and survived all the ridicule. Due to that, I face all sorts of decks from people who aren't necessarily open about playing the game (which you just lost).

There isn't even a shop that sells cards in the nearest "big town", the game is seriously unplayed here.

And I still don't consider it as cheating a company, nor do I believe anyone should support the law of the rich getting richer, but let's not debate if it should cost a lot.

The answer to the question at hand is, IMO, "Yes, Yugioh can cost a lot, but only if you like the bits of cardboard, if you're fine with a screen, it's free."

The debate was pointless anyways. The law in most countries already agree with me. YVD and co are all illegal for several reasons. >____>

But yeah, let's just end this one here.

I've spent $800 on this motherf*cking game! And I never ever won a single tourney.

This is because where I live, card are twice the American price, so no matter what we pull, there's no profit, not to mention that traders scale the packs.

That's why I've stopped buying cards, I'm fine with what I have now, and that'll do.

If you want to have a consistent deck, most of the cards that help toward it are expensive. But that doesn't mean the cheaper decks aren't as good. I mean, if you're just a casual duelist who wants to crush your friends who think they're the bomb, you don't even need more than $30.

Or you could be like me and somehow get your cards slowly from different people. By hardly spending any money at all, I've gathered up enough extra cards to fill a shoebox.
