Favorite OP, ED, Seiyuu, Insert, and Instrumental Theme Songs

As the title states, let's make a thread for all the music put into anime.

 

Here are my favorites (copied from my blog post on MyAnimeList):

 

OP:

 

1. "Hishoku no Sora" - Kawada Mami (Shakugan no Shana OP)

2. "Sakura" - Nirgilis (Eureka Seven OP)

5. “Seishun Kyousoukyoku” – Sambomaster (Naruto OP #5)

 

ED:

 

1. "Still Doll" - Kanon Wakeshima (Vampire Knight ED)

2. "Ride on Shooting Star" - The Pillows (FLCL ED)

 

Seiyuu:

 

1. "My Silky Love" - Horie Yui (Toradora! OP)

2. “Cha-la Head Cha-la” - Hirano Aya* (Original by Highlord [Lucky Star Episode 5 ED])

3. “Dear You -Feel-" - Yukino Satsuki (Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni)

4. “Don’t Say Lazy” - Hikasa Yoko (K-ON! ED)

 

*Lucky Star does cute little karaoke songs sang by one of the characters at the end of each episode. The Cha-la Head Cha-la I love is the one sang by Konata, or Hirano Aya. But note that Hirano did not write the song.

 

English:

 

1. "I'm Alive" - Becca (Kuroshitsuji ED)

 

Instrumental:

 

1. "One Summer's Day" - Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away)

 

Honorable Mention:

 

The English dubbed Pokemon Theme Song. This was the shining light that caught my attention to the Pokemon series. It was just so catchy, so motivating. It truly made me want to catch them all, and root for Ash along the way.

 

And I'm amazed that everyone and anyone actually knows this song, and memorized the whole thing.

OP: Umineko for the epic Italian chanting. (Honourable mention to Higurashi season 1 and Kaiji.)

ED: The ending theme from Kaiji.

Seiyuu: Don't know any.

English: Like no one ever was.

Instrumental: I forget, was Paranoia Agent's OP instrumental, or did it have some words I couldn't make out? (Obviously, I know there are vocals, but if they aren't actually singing words, it's a voice-as-instrument case, so still instrumental.)

[Arekku_Koro]

OP: Gaogaigar's opening.

ED: Big O's ending.

[DARKPLANT RISING]

OP: Umineko and Higurashi. Personally like Higurashi over Umineko. Also, Kamen Rider Kabuto's OP.

 

ED: None I've seen so far.

 

Seiyuu: None.

 

Insert? What's that?
