Aximil
Cathedral of the Nobles? (That card that allows you to activate Traps the turn they're set.) Banned. Traditional.
b0b3rt
@1 in trad, along with better FTKs.
Aximil
It doesn't matter if it's an 1 in Traditional. There's an insane amount of draw power and search power.
-Griffin
It's still not viable in trad, since FTKs have so many engines that something which might only FTK 50% of the time isn't good enough, it's why talking about trad in any discussion is entirely stupid and pointless. A banned card might as well not exist for making combos.

b0b3rt
Yata is terrible in traditional. The only things worth running are EoS and Magical Scientist FTKs.
Aximil
And do either of those run banned cards? If so, you've lost the argument here.
burnpsy
And do either of those run banned cards? If so' date=' you've lost the argument here.[/quote'] He didn't lose the argument. His point was that with those FTKs in Traditional, there's no point in forming an inconsistent FTK for Traditional. So yeah. If a card is banned, there is no reason to care. -Griffin
A banned card might as well not exist for making combos. Yata lock. Congrats on misinterpreting my point. My point was that Trad format sucks so much because of the abundant FTKs that anything that uses a banned card is just fricking stupid to consider because it only exists in a format not worth playing, which might as well be not at all. Aximil
It's just as inconsistant if it involves a banned card. Why would one FTK involving a banned card be more consistant than another involving a banned card?
-Griffin
Because some banned cards are searchable, and some win effectively as soon as you get it, while Yata only wins if you have it in your Deck and CeD and Sangan in play, which is a lot less consistent. burnpsy
It also assumes that your opponent didn't FTK.
