I think I just jizzed all over my keyboard, computer and everything in the vicinity of these two items.

 

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is coming out on May 23rd, 2010.

 

I am pre-ordering this right away. As soon as I ask my mom. :3

I wasn't a big fan of Galaxy 1. I thought it sucked. I like the platformer Mario Games.

 

I thought Galaxy 1 was a work of the gods, assuming they exist. ^_____^

 

And you have a right to an opinion.

 

And Galaxy IS a platformer Mario game... isn't it?

So it's either Wii or DS.

 

The DS does not have enough to support such a magnitude of a game, and the first Galaxy was on the Wii.

Actually, gameplay is improving. Just not as you think it is. Moving from a 2D to a 3D is improving gameplay. Moving from a 3D to a 3D with better physics is improving gameplay. I'd see a huge difference between playing the original Super Mario 64 and playing Super Mario Galaxy. The controls are better, and while it may not have the nostalgic feeling, many would say the entire game is better. And...

 

Nintendo will never cease to come up with amazing games. This is yet another example.

 

Creating a sequel is an amazing idea for a game. :?

 

We all know that 64 > Galaxy. =P

 

Most people are just biased against new games because of nostalgia. Yet I don't see anyone ever saying CoD 1 is better than this Ancient Warfare 3 and whatnot.

 

There are exceptions' date=' and (ahem) Pokemon is NOT one of them. You may have your nostalgic blah blah, but if you ever say that the 4th gen sucks, I'll remind you the amount of improvements and fundamental ideas they added [b']that made the game 50 times better[/b].

Where did you pull competitive battling out of? DPPt brought so many new things into the Pokemon series that HGSS had to copy/paste. Again' date=' you only have a [b']major[/b] bias towards HGSS over DPPt because you have the nostalgia for GSC. Well newsflash: DPPt was probably the most advanced Pokemon game so far, considering HGSS didn't expand much on it. I'm not saying it's the best, as that's all shitty opinion, but saying it sucks is far from the truth and just shows how much nostalgia clogs up your brain and makes you talk like a retard.

 

I didn't find moving from 2D to 3D an improvement at all =/

 

It's a 4-way control (up' date=' down, left, right) to a multiple-way control (360 degree ground movement, up, down). It adds extra flare to a game and gives you more creativity when designing the game. Imagine if, in a Pokemon game, you could [b']literally[/b] go UP and DOWN. That would just take the game to a new dimension. They tried that with the Distortion World in Platinum, but it was meh.

And no, I'm not. I played DPPt two days before HGSS, laughed at the idiotic designs and went back to LiquidCrystal. "DDPt is the most advanced game so far", how about you logically back that up too? And 'advanceness' or whatever the funk you're basing it on is bullshit. GSC has the nicest reason, the best storyline and didn't have an insane amount of Pokémon on it. It might not have been the best for 'gameplay', but who the funk cares because I barely noticed any difference at all between GSC and HGSS. GSC remains to be the better game. Nostalgia doesn't clog up my brain and make me talk like a retard- your shitty opinion makes you look like one.

Care to elaborate on that, o master of Pokemon, Brushfire? Care to tell me why GSC was the best Pokemon game evar. If it's not nostalgia, I want to see what bullshit reason you pull from out of your arse. IIRC, the only thing GSC really added was better graphics, items and natures compared to RBY. It didn't really add anything. And since Pokemon games continously over and over have the same, generic storyline, the only thing you really CAN advance are the in-game effects, graphics and new features.

 

So DPPt sucks, eh? Because adding WiFi to a Pokemon game was fucking bullshit, useless and not needed at all. Making a GTS where you can trade Pokemon was horrible. Importing Pokemon from RBE FRLG via Palpark is useless. I mean, really. I only used that feature about 15 or 20 times. Not anything exceptional, right? Physical/Special split didn't change much. I mean, everyone wanted Ice Punch to be a special move. And it's not like it was a total logic fail. Punches ARE NOT PHYSICAL MOVES GUYS.

 

Seriously, form an argument before you start blabbing random crap. If you really feel GSC was da beest pokaymens gaem evar, make sure to have facts to back up your opinion. I may be supporting what to you seems like 'a shitty game', but at least I have the intelligence and decency to bring up useful facts about the game.
