Ragnus
Here's my card discussion on Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode; ATK/DEF: 900/2300Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by the effect of "Assault Mode Activate." When this card is special summoned, place 2 spell counters on it. This card gains 1000 ATK points for every spell counter on it. You can remove 2 Spell counters from this card to destroy all cards your opponent controls. When this card is destroyed, special summoned 1 "Arcanite Magician" From your graveyard. In my opinion, the card is good. It has it's uses. If you're playing a Spellcaster Deck that consists mainly around gathering spell counters, then it can definately be useful. The cards effect can be even more effective if you have a card like "Magical Citadel of Endymion" on your field, (so you can use it's effect almost every turn if you have enough spell counters on it) leaving the opponents field empty, and giving you the chance deal a lot of direct damage to the opponents life points. DARKPLANT RISING
Good effect, but I won't really splash it since if it comes to your hand it's an auto-suck. In one simple word, unsplashable. But good in a specialized Spellcaster Spell-Counter Deck. It does have its uses in its own deck.
Rose
3rd best assault mode. Nukeing your opponents field is really effective and if he's hit by a solemns, atleast it's synchro form is reborn.

Guest PikaPerson01
Arcanite Magician (the synchro, not the assault mode) is better.
Rose
No' date=' you just Solemn AMA, which makes them lose their Arc as a cost and get nothing. Also, if you used AMA on Arc and hadn't cleared their backrow, you deserve the Solemn.[/quote'] Why is it a cost? Sure, you have to pay for the card, but the card says destroy. So this is the ruling to Mbaas too? Confusing :S.

Assault Mode Activate is a cost because it's separated by a full stop and is clearly part of the same effect. Or some other BS Koanmi Logic, I'm just pretty sure it is. asm has the requirement that you both reveal the am monster from your deck and then tribute the synchro needed before your opponent has the chance to respond with whatever they have. it does that so you can't use asm on monster you temporarily took just to get rid of it though cost payment fizzles. and I agree, who doesn't empty their arcanite before giving it up? Canadian
If the assault modes were a fusion form of the monsters and were in sidedecks, they would be really OP'ed. I'd also like them more. :o
