Zodiac Dragon Archtype

[Mendatt the Elf Mage]

Here is the Zodiac Dragon archtype. They center around quickly being able to synchro summon a variety of monsters, and effecting other monsters.

Constructive criticism would be appreciated.

 

There are only two Zodiac Dragons I have made so far that you can summon normally. Here they are.

 

Zodiac Dragon Warrior, Light

****, Dragon, Effect

When this card is summoned onto the field either face up in attack mode or defense mode, another level four zodiac dragon can be special summoned to the field by the same player in the same position.

Atk/1800 Def/1500

 

Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard, Light

****, Dragon, Tuner

When this tuner monster is used to synchro summon a zodiac dragon, all other zodiac dragon monsters in play gain 200 attack points and 200 defense points.

Atk/1400 Def/1800

 

The Aries line focuses on fighting. Simply fighting.

 

Zodiac Dragon Aries, Dark

********, Dragon, Synchro, Effect

Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard + 1 non-tuner monster

When this monster attacks a monster card on the others side of the field, if that monster is destroyed and it has less than 2000 defense points, Zodiac Dragon Aries may attack another monster. When Zodiac Dragon Aries would be sent to your graveyard, it is sent to your hand instead.

Zodiac Dragon Aries Lord, Dark

Zodiac Dragon Aries + Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard

When Zodiac Dragon Aries lord attacks a monster on your opponent's side of the field during the battle phase, after the damage calculation, you may choose to reduce it's attack points by 300 and give it the ability to attack again. Change the attack points of Zodiac Dragon Aries Lord to 3400 during your opponent's end phase.

Atk/3400 Def/2600

 

The Gemeni line focuses on there being two of something.

 

Zodiac Dragon Gemeni, Wind

********, Dragon, Synchro, Gemini(Obviously.)

Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard + 1 non-tuner monster

This card is treated as a normal monster when face up in the field or in the graveyard. While this card is face-up in the field, you may normal summon it to have it treated as an effect monster with this effect:

During your opponent's battle phase, if you have one Zodiac Dragon Gemini face-up on the field, you may special summon a Zodiac Dragon Gemini face-up onto the field.

Zodiac Dragon Gemeni Lord, Wind

************, Dragon, Synchro, Gemini

Zodiac Dragon Gemini + Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard

This card is treated as a normal monster when face up in the field or in the graveyard. While this card is face-up in the field, you may normal summon it to have it treated as an effect monster with this effect:

If this monster attacks and sends to the graveyard a monster on your opponent's side of the field, you may move an identical monster on your opponent's side of the field to their graveyard and do damage to your opponent equal to the combined attack and defense points of the monster you moved to the graveyard.

3600, 3600

 

The Sagittarius line does indirect but powerful damage to the opponent's monsters.

 

Zodiac Dragon Sagittarius, Wind

Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard + 1 non-tuner monster

During your battle phase, you may tribute Zodiac Dragon Sagittarius to do damage to your opponent equal to the attack points of Zodiac Dragon Sagittarius.

Zodiac Dragon Sagittarius Lord, Wind

************, Dragon, Synchro, Effect

Zodiac Dragon Sagittarius + Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard

Once during your main phase while Zodiac Dragon Sagittarius Lord is face up on your side of the field, you may choose one card in your opponent's hand or side of the field and remove it from play.

3500, 1100

 

The Taurus focus on making it easier for lines like Aries.

 

Zodiac Dragon Taurus, Earth

********, Dragon, Synchro, Effect

Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard + 1 non-tuner monster

When Zodiac Dragon Taurus attacks and sends to the graveyard a monster on your opponent's side of the field, during your next battle phase, Zodiac Dragon Taurus has 500 more attack points.

2300, 1300

 

Zodiac Dragon Taurus Lord, Earth

************, Dragon, Synchro, Effect

Zodiac Dragon Taurus + Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard

During the battle phase of your turn, you mat reduce the defense points of one of the monsters on your opponent's side of the field by an amount between 0 and 1300. Reduce the defense points of Zodiac Dragon Taurus Lord by the same amount. Change the defense points of Zodiac Dragon Taurus Lord to 1300 during the end phaze of your opponent's turn.

3400, 2300

 

The Virgo line focuses on healing you. Simple, eh?

 

Zodiac Dragon Virgo, Light

********, Dragon, Synchro, Effect

Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard + 1 non-tuner monster

During the battle phase of your opponent's turn, if Zodiac Dragon Virgo is on your side of the field, if a monster on your side of the field would be moved to the graveyard, you may negate all battle damage from the battle.

1000, 1700

 

Zodiac Dragon Virgo Lord, Light

************, Dragon, Synchro, Effect

Zodiac Dragon Virgo + Zodiac Dragon Bodyguard

During your main phase, while Zodiac Dragon Virgo Lord is on your side of the field, you may increase your life points by the combined levels of all monsters on your side of the field x10.
