You know what being a Mod does to your mind...?

 

Look at the Mods. They are completely divine. Therefore you would mostly use "please" to anything you say to them. This creates in a bad Mod's heart a feeling of self love, being called good by everyone in such a gigantic and national site (A small town could be made if all the guys in here moved there, as a fact). He would, even in real life, become self-absorbed and selfish, and in the end become hated by everyone. In the end, to release the stress he would become angry and start banning people for minor reasons. Moderation takes time, and his homework would blow away till he gets stupid and get completely computer-mind-washed. In the end he will do something against the rules yourself and get IP banned by someone of an even higher plane. Shocked, he would start being even more stressed, and become a bad person. All because of a site for fun.

 

This is what I imagine if I became a mod. All mods of now are good, and not like this, plus they are not angry or stressed. But for me, it's a no. As an extra, I will leave after 3 years from now due to study, and will not come back for another 3 years. How could I be a Moderator?

These are the Mod attributes that I have:

 

- I can be neutral.

- I like to make up rules.

- I can determine myself to write a lot and use perfect English Grammar.

- I like to help people.

- I can sound smartassy.

- I am a jerkass.

 

These are the Mod attributes that I lack:

 

- My hair is not funny enough.

- Yeah, unfortunately, I'm not smart enough.

- I'm also not emotional enough.

- I really CAN be neutral, but not on some fields (human relations, religion, treatment of the poor, luck and unluck).

- I don't have enough sting.

- (much like the above) I would be very reluctant to banning people.

- Luna Lovegood. Just...Luna Lovegood...

- I'm 14.

 

 

And apart from those, I wouldn't know which Forum to moderate.

To be honest, the way you go about critiquing members isn't the best way you should go about it.

There are pros and cons to being a Mod.

 

Pros:

Status

Power

Ban Hammer

 

Cons:

Responsibility

Constant Thread looking in case of rule breaking

Rule enforcement

 

Of course, if I were chosen to be a Mod, it would have to depend on the forum.

If it were like this forum, then maybe. Just so I could clean the place up of all the things that aren't needed anymore, like: Old Threads, Trolls, etc.

 

Get the drift?

You're going to mark my methods "not the best" just because they include me saying stuff about members that happens to be true? And to top it off, most of the time the members I've "criticized", have only been the members who tend to be ignorant and spam.
