It's cost-benefit analysis time! Is it worth having reps?

 

Cost: People create alts to give themselves reps, people whine when other people neg them, people neg other people randomly for no reason, people ask questions about how the system works... there's a fair amount of maintenance.

 

Benefit: People have a second currency to use for stuff in the Games forum, which is such a spammy place that it doesn't even award post count.

 

My analysis produces only one possible conclusion.
