In this Death Note role play, only ten people can join. You do not need to submit an app. form of any sort yet; you will be playing as yourself so just state you wish to join. Out of the ten players, there will be L, Kira, and eight members of the Japanese police force. Kira will be a part of the Japanese police force, making the police force of nine members. Currently, L has not contacted the Japanese police force. Wateri and L are one person, so the person who is L must specify who is speaking in his posts.

 

Once we get ten members, not including myself, I will put each part into a hat and draw parts. I will then PM the people their name, sex, age, and their part. Only L does not have to reveal his name but must state he is L plus age and sex, and for others, simply say in your first post your name, age and sex. Kira obviously does not have to reveal he is Kira, but must give his name, age, and sex.

 

At the start of the story, the nine members of the Japanese police force are working together to catch Kira. L, on public TV, has already revealed Kira is in the Toyko, Japan. L is currently working alone. L cannot introduce new people to the story, thus he cannot bring FBI to Japan or anything similar. L can contact the Japanese police any time. The Japanese police cannot contact L until L gives them the appropriate contact information. Like the manga, L is living in hotel rooms and is moving every week or so. At the start of the story, L believes that Kira is among the Japanese police and must state so soon after the beginning.

 

At the start of the story, there will be ten criminals in custody, all of which I made up and is not being played by a specific person. Each week, I will reveal one criminal’s name. It will be up to Kira to kill that person. If Kira kills that criminal, Kira must PM me. I will then PM everyone, including Kira himself, that the criminal has been killed. Kira must kill criminals with a heart attack. If Kira kills all ten people criminals and L, he wins. If Kira kills all the police and L, Kira wins.

 

Kira may also kill members of the police force at anytime. To do so, simply PM me and I will PM that specific person the conditions of the death. Kira must state the conditions of the death beforehand. Then that person will post saying they died of a heart attack or whatever, and no longer can post. If Kira wishes not to be caught, Kira must be alone while killing someone. So, at the start of the roleplay, all members of the police force will be at the police station. Kira, or anyone for that matter, can say I am going home or to the bathroom or whatever. The death note must be with Kira at all times, until I announce differently. No one can just suddenly ask to search someone’s suitcase or pockets or whatever, because they do not know of the Death Note. The Shinigami is nonexistent for now. All Death Note rules apply.

 

L / The Japanese police win if they catch Kira (discover who he is and provide some evidence and take him into custody). L must contact the Japanese police directly in person once we get down to five criminals left. Everyone can communicate through PM, however everyone must post at least once every three days, or a random Shinigami will just kill you. Once one side wins, the role play is over.

 

A second Kira will be introduced if need be. This probably will happen once Kira killed the ten criminals but cannot get L’s name. The Shinigami eyes will play a part as well once a second Kira is introduced.

Once everyone posts this information, we can start. L must state he is L, however, keep in mind Kira, you don't know what he looks like OR his name. You must know both. In order to know his face, you must meet face to face, which will happen sooner or later. The name is another factor.

Considering it may be a little while before everyone posts, let's start now. Others can catch up later. Remember, if you are a part of the police force, you are at the police station now, all together. No one is "chief". I will reveal a criminal name once we get started. Criminals have already begun dying, and people know about Kira.

"So, have you guys heard? Those criminals are dropping dead like flies, it's all due to heart attacks.. It might be some new illness that was developed inside the prisons.. What do you guys think?" Tatsuya asked the other officers in the room. He was leaning on his desk, some papers in his hand.

"No... we all know the truth, he's returned" Haiachi said solemnly as he put his cup down, a look of grief fell upon his face, "Kira... he killed my Dad, for a petty crime" as Haiachi said these words his grief became anger, emotion filled he kicked the desk beside him "I can't stand that scum bag" Haiachi said as his rage slowly built down.

"I doubt it is HIM," interjected Iori, "I mean, it's probably someone new. The old Kira just disappeared a few years ago, probably caught and killed if you ask me." He leaned back in his chair, smiling, "This isn't Kira, just some impersonator. But either way, I'm almost sure the Kira before was caught," he leaned forward, his slender face a bit more solemn. "This one will too. L figured it out last time, and even if worst comes to worst, he will this time."
