There's no Pal Park for SS/HG (I think) so he's probably just traded it from Plat.

And the Smeargle is Level 100. I can give you something worthwhile though' date=' like a Celebi or something.

????

Oh good, I thought with the DSi having no GBA slot they wouldn't, plus I also thought someone said it wouldn't have a PalPark... Bleh, I need the game.

The Regi's are available? News to me. :/

I tried out the NU metagame against someone on Shoddy... I failed, hard. Then again, I made a team in literally 5 minutes. Maybe I should actually attempt to make an uber (not competitively) team for NU.

I'm scared' date=' make the stupid go away!

I'm working on SRing a good Zapdos atm. Zapdos is pretty damn awesome imo. Counters a s***-ton of pokes with a physically defensive build.

lolsr

Unless you are abusing RNG, I will commit suicide if you get decent IVs. Meaning I'm going to be living for the next few years.

But yeah, I don't see Zapdos in too many teams on Shoddy. If that bish gets moved down to UU, I'mma ragequat.

Tekken Ham, I was watching some of your old Pokemon videos. I remember our battle. Effing stall war. D:

EDIT: Updated my sig with my SoulSilver FC.

Zap is typically played defensively, but it's more than capable of ripping a few new as$holes in something with an offensively-minded set. And as Felix said, it isn't exactly frail, so being outsped isn't a huge concern.

It's a little impractical, but Agility is also an option for it if speed is really a bug concern.

Running Agility would also allow to put some of those Spe EVs into bulk. You could also run it as a Choice Scarf Zap.

Eh, Zapdos doesn't really like Choice Lock. It's not intended to be a revenge killer, so Scarf or Specs aren't that great for it. Zap's biggest strength in my opinion is its versatile moveset combined with sturdy staying power.

So yeah, Agility is the best option if you're focused on making it faster, but the problem is that using it limits you to just two offensive moves, since you should always be running Zap with Roost as well. Although that's not all bad, since Thunderbolt and Heat Wave get great coverage between each other. However, those two will be walled by Swampert, as well as Latias and Flygon to slightly lesser extents.

If you discard agility, you can go with HP Ice though, which will handle the two dragons and score at least neutral damage on Swampy (although without a Life Orb or Specs, he'll probably survive it with plenty of HP even still, so it's best just to switch away from him).

Point made.

I agree with Zex that one of Zapdos' main strong points is the versatility in moves, so you wouldn't want to be stuck in a TBolt when an Electrivire comes out, or stuck in a Heat Wave when a Heatran comes out. Because without a choice, you can still switch moves and attempt to get some damage in. With a choice, you allow them to get a free turn of setup.

I don't know how many people run Latias and Swampert on the same team (at first glance, seems like a nice pair), but if they don't, you only really need to worry about stopping one threat, and that'd be either Latias or Swampert. Since Flygon is a bit rare in OU, and it's almost always scarfed, so you should be able to predict its move and do a nice switch-out.

And wouldn't Heatran be a nice counter for Agilidos? Heat Wave does absolutely nothing, I'm pretty sure it's bulky enough to survive 1 Thunderbolt (assuming a -Def nature), and it can retaliate with either a Sub or a strong Fire Blast. Not sure if that would kill, though, and I'm too lazy to run the damage calcs.

Yes. She also claimed that I had no chance of winning because her Charizard had Defog. You were right Dark' date=' it's a total waste of time to even acknowledge her.

What does Defog even do, really? :/

It decreases Evasion, game breaking sheet is that.

It decreases Evasion, game breaking s*** is that.

THAT'S AN EXTREMELY GOOD MOVE, CONSIDERING THAT MINIMIZE AND DOUBLE TEAM ARE NOT BANNED, SO IF SOMEONE TRIES TO USE THAT, YOU COULD USE DEFOG AND WIN! WOW, SHE IS SMART. <3
