My question is that can I only make 1 card, or can I make more if they are linked together? Also, can the created card refer in its effect to an existing card? Either way, I would like to reserve a spot.

In that case, my cards are here, the characters are from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha:

 

 

This monster cannot be Special Summoned, except by its own effect. If you control a face-up "Fate Testarossa", you can Special Summon this monster from your hand by discarding 1 Spell Card from your hand. If this monster is Summoned by its own effect, inflict 800 damage to your opponent. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard to inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each Spell Card in your Graveyard.

As long as there is a "Champion Token" on the field, this card is unaffected by the effects of Monster Cards your opponent controls. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1, you can Tribute 1 "Champion Token" you control to have this card attack twice during your Battle Phase that turn.
