Aximil
I was going to suggest your deck, Burnpsy. Also, you should give us a build of what he rusn so someone can come up with a deck designed to specifically counter his.

Yankee
Only thing with defense is, eventually, you will run out. Hard to win when you're not attacking, burning, or w/e. Final Countdown FTW Uh, I'd just go with a deck that is faster than his.Quick Synchro, for example.

Lexsuncion
If you're playing with warriors, spellcasters, or fairies, a quick Attack-stall would be Maurading Captains, Magicians Valkyria or Victorias respectively. Problem being that with those out you're sort of just waiting for him to draw a spell/monster/trap to shoot you with.

reaperdeath
@above: Epic win! A good defensive deck is a rock deck, my brother has one, the only way to win is to attack directly, but even then he has like 2 or 3 ordeal of the travelers, freaking annoying....Exxod is beast in that deck. You can burn life points quite quickly. I hardly ever win against it. Rocks are unparalleled in their ability to defend.Guardian sphinx is a good card. flip it, and ALL of your opponents monsters return to their hand. It can flip itself facedown too. lekkim17
I play a deck called Spiky Wall and it starts defensive and then after a pair of rounds it rocks the foe world. Here's the recipe but i'll only show the traps but be sure to have both powerful and weak monsters with good effects. 1 Shift. 1 Trap Hole. 1 O of the T. 1 Wabuko. 1 SC. 1 Nightmare wheel.. Got the point. Focus on traps but if you need more info just write me and i'll tell you the rest of the traps and if you're powerhungry enough the whole deck
magician lily
Okay I'll try to help you out. Set up your trap cards in your deck to were him attacking is the worst mistake he could ever make. I do this a lot to people I duel. Some traps should be Sakuretsu armor, wide spread ruins, ect. Your spells are divided between two types. The first type are what I call carpet bombers. Lighting vortex, Dark core. The other type are for you to defend with or raise your own power. Sorry, I know this is not as detailed as it could be. Email me or PM me with a basic run down of the deck and I could be of more help. The best thing I could tell you to do is out think him.
