Erik arrived at the location of the portal, what appeared to be a park or something. He could see the portal through the trees, so he silently got off his Duel Runner and pulled out a small scanner. "Oh my God..." he murmured, as the scanner picked up so many duel spirits, it was like- THUD. Startled, Erik looked up, and saw a teenage boy lying on the floor. "Kid-" He said in a loud whisper, running over to him, "You okay?" It was only when he got near the guy when he saw the thing next to him.

[Guest Welche]

Welche stepped out of his plane with his team of elite duelists behind him. As they walked through the town, they encounter no duel spirits. Welche knew that this was a sign of a master, a specific duel spirit that was controlling the portal. When Welche met the first monster, he spent no time dueling it. It was a Thousand Eye Idol and could be beat by even the most mediocre duelist. After beating it, Welche knew that he needed to start sending the monsters to the Shadow realm and so that is what he did.

[Luna Lovegood]

The first of the elite duelists arrived. He was tall and muscular. "You there! Clear the area!" he said.

 

"Ha! You think you can order me around? Duel!" Herit challenged him to a duel without a second thought. It would be simple to beat this man.

 

"Ah, it is you. Herit Shun. You are behind this crossing."

 

"Yes. Yes I am. And now, we duel! I draw! Now I play my Sangan in attack position. I set two cards and end my turn.

[Guest Welche]

Welche had no challenge beating the Level 4 and below monsters, but then he reached the arrived within 1 mile of the portal, he met his first Level 5. It was a Cyber Dragon.

"Duel" they both shouted.

"I start," said Welche, "and with that I summon Volcanic Rocket in Attack-mode. That means that I get a Blaze accelerator from my deck. Then I set 1 card and end my turn.

Field:

Welche- 1 monster, 1 set s/t and 5 cards in hand

Cyber Dragon- 5 cards in hand

 

"My move," said Cyber Dragon in a metallic voice, "and I summon Cyber Dragon using its effect. Then I use Polymerization to Fusion Summon my Cyber-Twin Dragon using two more Cyber-Dragons. Now Cyber Dragon, Attack his Rocket."

The dragon sent a burst out, but it was reflected right back at him.

"Mirror Force." said Welche simply, "It destroys everything you have."

"I end my turn" said the Cyber Dragon.

 

Field

Welche- 1 monster, 5 cards in hand

Cyber Dragon - 2 cards in hand

 

"I discard Blaze Accelerator and Tri-Blaze Accelerator to summon Volcanic Doomfire, then summon another Volcanic Rocket. Attack Him!"

The monsters all attacked and when the cloud cleared, Cyber Dragon was still alive, but barely.

 

Welche - 8000

Cyber Dragon - 1200

 

"I activate Soul of Fire." said Welche as he walked away, "Goodbye."

Volcanic Queen went to the Graveyard and all of Cyber Dragons Life Points were gone. He knew that even though he had won, he still was not close to his destination.

[Luna Lovegood]

"That is nothing! I play my E-Hero Sparkman! Go, destroy his monster!"

 

Herit: 7400

Duelist: 8000

 

"That's just what I wanted. I activate my trap, go Damage Condenser! Now by discarding Yubel, Terror Incarnate I can Special Summon Yubel from my deck."

 

"Ha! I set one card and end my turn."

 

"You don't expect me to keep only Yubel on the field? I draw! Now I flip Raigeki Break. By discarding 1 card, I destroy Yubel!"

 

"Ha, why would you destroy your own monster?"

 

"Because now her effect activates. I can Special Summon one Yubel - Terror Incarnate! And I pick the one in my Graveyard. Then, I play the card The Calculater. It gains 300 ATK for every level of the monsters on my field, and that's 3900! Now, attack his Life Points directly!"

Duelist: 5700

 

"Sadly, now my Calculator is destroyed. But I end my turn.

Heero ran off, then realized that this person must be leader. "If I can get rid of who ever that was...would that make me a hero?" He then laughed. "Heero...hero...hahahaha" "But seriously...theres gotta be a way..." he pulled out his deck. "My King may not be enough...but there's no chance in Infernalvania I'm going to let him...or her...take over! I will protect my friends....no matter what!

[Luna Lovegood]

"A 0/0 monster? That'll be a cinch. I draw! Now I play Polymerization and fuse Burstinatrix and Avian to form, Flamed Wingman! Now go, attack his monster, Flaming slash!"

 

"Foolish duelist! My Yubel Terror Incarnate has an effect. Not only is it not destroyed by battle, but I take no damage. AND you take damage equal to your monsters ATK!"

Duelist: 3600

[Guest Welche]

Welche had left his troops behind, as they were needed to set up a perimeter. Welche then advanced towards the center, avoiding as many duels as possible. When he reached the center, he saw the portal. Upon the sight of it he knew that it was the kind of portal opened by a duelist, but not just any duelist.

Herit Shun thought Welche, He must be behind this.

Welche and Herit had battled before, but each time the duel was either interrupted or ended in a draw.

[Luna Lovegood]

"I end my turn." said the duelist, mournfully.

 

"Too bad, because I have something that'll give you a shock. I draw! Now, I play a second The Calculator! Now it can destroy your monster! Go, Mathematical Domination!"

 

Herit: 7400

Duelist: 1800

 

"Now I set the last two cards in my hand. And the effect of Yubel activates! All of our monsters are destroyed, except Yubel."

 

"Hmm... I play Gene-Warped Werewolf!"

 

"Bad move! I play Battle Mania! Now you have to attack me."

 

"But, but..."

 

"You lose. But don't feel so bad," he laughed, "not many duelists even touch my life points! Now, go Yubel Terror Incarnate, destroy his life points!" And with that, the duelist fell to the ground, his soul taken. "Another one for the cause." he said.

[Guest Welche]

The realization hit Welche like a train. If this is a man-made portal, the size can increase. He can make it as big as he wants. If we don't stop it soon, Level 10s could cross. The true Yubel could get here, or worse, the Gods. Welche needed to find Herit. There was not other way to close this portal. Welche broke out in a sprint, looking for the trail of soulless bodies that Herit always left in his wake.

"Hmm, time to increase the size of this baby." he said. He began chanting. The portal size was increasing. Level nines could almost cross. Then Level tens! Then, the elite duelist would fall, and so would Welche. No one could stand the wrath of monsters as powerful as Yubel. And this was just the start. Soon, portals like this one would open all over the world. More powerful ones. Level twelves would cross. That would be the end of humanity, he smirked at the thought

[Guest Welche]

Welche sensed that the portal had just been enlarged, but this also allowed him to feel where the power was coming from. He immediately begun sprinting in that direction. When he ran past the portal he saw parts of Infernal Flame Emperor starting to cross, but that did not bother him. In fact that comforted him for reasons of his own.

Then Welche saw the outline of a man. Herit, that must be him.

[Tokyo Duel]

Heero finally caught up to the person from before, but saw he wasn't alone. He quickly hid though, and was breathing heavy. "Alright...let's just watch and see what happens..." He hid for what seemed like an eterinity, but in actuallity, was a little over ten minutes. "Argh...I gotta get in closer...!" He was able to hide descreetly when...SNAP! He broke a twig, and the sound just seemed to echo forever...

 

"Did they notice?"

Herit finished chanting. Level tens could cross. He wasn't going to test his luck, especially with the low number of level elevens. He heard a sound, but ignored it. A level ten was crossing. It was Cyber End Dragon. "Let's see you take this on." he said to the world at random.

 

"You have freed me." said Cyber End Dragon, "You will be rewarded for your services to the duel spirits. Anything you desire. Now, let us deal with these pesky humans!"

[Guest Welche]

Welche wasn't impressed."This is the best you can do Herit? After all we've been through?" said Welche. Of course he was thinking of the time Yubel-Terror Incarnate crossed. "You shouldn't give up, even in this situation." Welche started his duel-disk. "So, whose up for a duel?"

[Tokyo Duel]

"Good...neither of them noticed me Heero thought. Now I can make a break for it and help save the day!" he said to himself running up there. Then he saw Cyber End Dragon. "Oh...my...Winged Kuriboh! That's not normal on so many levels!!!" he was about to make a u-turn but tripped and fell. "Argh...not good...!" He shouted in his head. He checked his knee; it was scraped, but not much more. He got up, but he felt an overwhelming presence near by, freezing him with fear.

[Guest Welche]

"So whose it going to be, not that it matters." thought Welche as he drew his opening hand. As he surveyed his cards, images from his past flashed in his eyes. These images were related to each of his cards, but they weren't duels, they were actual memories. They were memories of the real duel monsters.

[Luna Lovegood]

"Cyber End Dragon will deal with you!" said Herit. He needed to cross. He started towards the portal, but then thought of something. "actually, I will stay and watch as you are destroyed by my servants. Even if you destroy Cyber End Dragon, more will come. Rainbow Dark Dragon is coming. I can feel it. You do not have long. Say good bye and prepare to be sent to the shadow realm. My masters will enjoy your soul a lot. They always do enjoy a powerful soul."

[Guest Welche]

"I know your masters. I have met them. They were my friends." said Welche, "You see, I have been alive for a lot longer then you think. I am not 17, not even 170. I am almost as old as time itself." Then flames burst around him, enveloping the Cyber-End Dragon. When the flames died, and the smoke disperse, Welche and Cyber-End Dragon were gone. All that was left was a giant flaming serpentine dragon.

[Luna Lovegood]

"You will make a good fight for Cyber End Dragon. You are both Level tens. I will enjoy you being crushed even more. You see, nobody leaves the Duel Spirit empire and gets away with it. Not even someone as old and as powerful as you. Your only weapon is gone. We know who you are know, and that will be your biggest problem. I can already feel your brothers trying to get through. It won't be long before you have been vanquished from this world, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames!"

[Guest Welche]

"Ah. It seems you have done your research. Well then you will also know that we, the sacred beasts, are more powerful then our level shows. We only display ourselves as Level 10 so we can pass through smaller portals. We do, in all honesty, have powers much greater. Cyber-End Dragon will not stand a chance. Oh, and when you run back to your masters, tell them that the FIRE army is assembling and my boss is growing restless. We will free him and then we will rule the world alone." said Uria in a rasping voice.

[Luna Lovegood]

"In that case, I would suggest leaving now. You see, you are not the only beings that hide great power behind the mask of a level ten. The most powerful monsters in Duel Monsters do to. They are not coming now, but they will. I suggest you leave. Now. Before they decide to take care of a treacherous Duel Spirit. They are not as forgiving as I am." Herit was not intimidated by Uria. His master was more powerful, and much more frightening.

 

He decided to take care of another Elite Duelist. They were not hard to defeat, it only required the right cards. And Herit always drew the right cards. He turned and shouted, "Anyone up for a trip to the Shadow realm?"

[Guest Welche]

"Well its about time I faced a worthy opponent." Welche burst into flames then returned to human form. His duel disk reappeared on his hand. Although he had been dueling for years, he could never settle on one deck so he always kept a few decks back in his part of the Duel Spirit realm. Although Welche was never able to stick with a deck, his appearance never change. He was always the same teen-age boy.

[Tokyo Duel]

Heero came forth to face the person from before. "I...I won't back down! I believe in my deck, and in myself! Whoever you are, I refuse to turn and run! This is my home, and I'm not afraid to lose protecting it! Your going down!" Heero shouted. He had never done something like this. It was like he was going through an adrenaline rush or something...But that wasn't important. What was important was getting rid of this...this monster!

 

Then he saw someone had already beat him to it. "Damn..."

[Luna Lovegood]

"Welche, welche, welche. This is not a good idea. You will lose, and then I will take your soul. But I will face you, and then I will face him." Herit sneered and gestured towards Heero. "Duel!" shouted Herit.

Welche: 8000

 

Hmm, nice cards thought Herit. His hand would do well against an opponent like Welche
