Yu-Gi-Oh - Damashi [Part of Chapter 1 Up!]

Ma first YGO fanfic..

 

In this story, only the basic storyline of the anime happened, so no Millenium Item/Dark Signer stuff.

 

Yugioh-Damashi is a story that follows the life of Light Homura, a 16 year old student in Gonwei Ginzo, a large city with the largest dueling population. Novero Resources are testing many new Duel Monsters systems, with many eager testers..

 

[spoiler=Prolouge - Lab Rat]"Duel!"

 

Light held his right arm up high, and pieces of ligth fell onto it, revealing a gauntlet with a holographics projector and screen, with a card slot. Light had long black hair with sharp brown eyes.

 

"Black Luster Soldier, lend me your strength!" He called, feeding his gauntlet a card. Text flashed on the screen, saying 'Sword Release' as an arua of Black Luster soldier appeared around Light, and he held his hand out as Black Luster Soldier's sword appeared in his hand. Holding the dark blue handle, he ran towards his opponent.

 

"Big Shield Gardna, lend me your strength!" His opponent called, slotting a card in his gauntlet. He held his left arm out and the giant shield formed and clamped onto his arm, and he charged ahead behind the safety of his shield. Light's sword cut into the shield, piercing it as it continued to cut the chest armour on his opponent. They both had basic suits on, with helmets, visors, gauntlets, boots, and armour covering the rest of their body. There was a flash of light as Light jumped back, landing on his feet while there was a shockwave that sent his opponent off his feet, landing. His chest armour showed a crack, and his visor reported the damage as he got back to his feet. "I'll.. Wi-.. I'll win this." He said, breathing heavily.

 

"The system's working well. Not a flaw so far." A man wearing thick gloves, goggles and several other pieces of padding reported, his fingers flying over his keyboard. A man behind him grinned.

 

"Amp it up." He said. "The gameplay's a bit choppy." He instructed, and the man working the supercomputer hesitated, before nodding and turning a switch.

 

Light felt his armour get warmer as he moved in for another strike. His opponent jumped out of the way, throwing in another card. He fell to his feet as UFOroid appeared under him, lifting him up as golden wings appeared, giving him full armour, though he was weaker than ever.

 

"UFOroid Fighter... Lend me.. Lend me your body!" He shouted as he stood up, zooming foward towards Light. He readied his sword and jumped foward, striking his opponent in the chest. However, his sword smashed into hundreds of pieces he took damage, and his opponent punched him, and there was a loud explosion, blinding everyone and causing the energy rates to fly.

 

Light was soon rushed off to hospital, burnt with several broken bones. His opponent suffered worse, as he was on life support, with his body badly brunt and most of his bones broken, with his brain taking severe damage.

 

Light was eventually dismissed, his arm in a sling and breathing heavily and deeply, his chest weak as he stumbled out the glass doors into the cool dusk outside.

 

His opponent was killed in the test.

 

[spoiler=Chapter 1 - Deck]

Light was ripping open a booster pack, throughing the empty packet into a pile at his feet. He threw the cards into a pile beside him on his bed. His deck was clipped to his belt. He felt guilty as he began to sort through his cards. His opponent had died, and he had a broken arm and a heap of money.

 

He was being payed to be a tester for Novero Resources, testing their new Duel Armour system. It was risky and people were bound to get hurt, but they were all assured they were helping the world of Duel Monsters advance. Despite that, chances of survival in the tests were only around 27%. Light had been lucky so far. Once he was happy with his deck, he put a blue jacket on and headed outside for a walk.

 

The sun was setting and there were children running around the pavement as they filled water balloons at the fountain. The fountain was made of stone with a marble statue of Dark Magician, water gushing out of the staff.

 

Light walked around the park when someone tapped him on the shoulder. He spun around to find someone looking like his oponent at Novero Resources. He punched Light, and he fell to the ground as the other person pulled out a Duel Disk.

 

"You killed him. Here's one from me you bastard!" He shouted as Light took out his Duel Disk.

 

"Why should I Duel?" Light asked as he slotted in his deck.

 

"It'll decide how hard I beat you." He replied, and evil grin on his face.

 

"Opponent Detected - Duel ID - Jock Monsur Rank 690 Millon" Light's Duel Disk chimed as Jock's Duel Disk recited Light's Duel ID.

 

"Duel!"
