"Well, maybe we should get you some food then," Roland laughed, jokingly. "And you can walk next to me, Britney, or am I seriously that bad?"

--

Hyperion was grimacing when they pulled up to the caverns, and walked past the tour groups to the main entrance to the caverns, and they suddenly realized that it would be dark in there. "No it won't," Carmen said, "They have lights in there."

Hyperion smiled, "Exactly what I wanted to hear." They trekked into the cavern's first room, which was a museum sort of display for a saltpeter mine, where they'd make the saltpeter for gunpowder. Hyperion and the rest of them, cloaked in darkness from the Iskios, glided down the railing and started making their way to a large hole on the opposite side. "This could be one possible entrance to the Underworld."

Hyperion was gone, most likely freeing Tartarus from his rock imprisonment. "This is bad," Achilleus said. "We've got to have a Titan and a Protogenoi with us, while trekking into the Underworld, in the realm of Hades. He will not be pleased to see us."

"But we're after Morpheus first," Carmen said, "But why?"

Roland rubbed his face where Britney had kissed. "Maybe something's wrong with her," he said, looking back. "Maybe I should go find her."

Roland ran off, after Britney, who seemed to have disappeared, but he finally spotted him in the sword fighting forum. "Britney!" he said, sitting down next to her. "Are you okay? You seemed a little strange back there."

--

Hyperion faced the giant stone wall shaped like a face, staring into the eye sockets curiously. "Uncle, it has been too long," Hyperion said, looking at the rocks. "You need to get out and see the light."

A sudden flash of blinding light and a man, dressed in a Greek chiton was standing in front of Hyperion, looking very regal.

"Pó̱s mou anaktí̱sete apó ti̱ fylakí̱ mou?" the man asked, looking at Hyperion strangely, "Kai giatí eísai ntyméni̱ tóso períerga?"

"Eínai I, Helios Hyperion, i̱ Titán kai anipsiós sas. Écho̱ na anakti̱theí apó ti̱ fylakí̱ gia na sas voi̱thí̱sei Vasiliás me ti̱n katastrofí̱ pou áthlia Olýmpou." Hyperion stated in perfect Greek.

OOC:

Translation Note:

"How did you retrieve me from my prison?"

"And why is your dress so strange?"

"It is I, Helios Hyperion, the Titan and your nephew. I have retrieved you from your prison to destroy that infernal Olympus."

OoC: Why can;t you just type it into the phone stop being a douchebag....

IC: Brian tilted his head. "Whatever," He said leaping into the air his phone changing into a caduces with wings and he flew off. "Loser," He remarked as he rose higher. I'll catch up with them later. He remarked circlaling higher into the air and following the demigods in the sky. He wished the gods could interact with their children more he wanted to be with his father on olympus. This school was getting on his last nerves, it wasn't even intersting and this quest seemed stupid.

Achilleus looked wearily at the Iskios who seemed stronger, bigger, and more beautiful in the darkness of the caverns. They wouldn't be defeating this one as easily as the one who possessed Jared, which worried Achilleus.

Carmen seemed to be contemplating something as she looked into the long black tunnel that slanted downwards from them. "Achilleus," she whispered, "Isn't there that Labyrinth thing?"

"The Labyrinth?" Achilleus said to himself. "Of course. There's an entrance to the Labyrinth almost anywhere, because it just sprawls across the continent."

--

Hyperion paused for a moment, walking with Tartarus. "You may want to change your clothing, uncle, because the humans now do not wear such clothes," Hyperion observed, as a group of passing girls giggled at Tartarus' chiton.

Suddenly, Tartarus' clothing transformed, from a dull gray chiton to a t-shirt and jeans. "Whatever you say, Hyperion," Tartarus said. "Why did you free me? Kronos will be angry with you.."

"Kronos? He's been imprisoned in your pit for a thousand years!" Hyperion laughed loudly.

"The Labyrinth is an option. It would be easier to lose our "hosts" in the myriad of twisting pathways. It also might be easier to get lost ourselves." Carlos scanned the cavern they were in. "There does not appear to be an obvious entry here, however. One thing I would like to note: The prophecy says that our first stop should be Morpheus. And, if I remember my divine geography, he lives in the Underworld with his brother, Thatanos. Might it be a good idea to let them take us to the Underworld, and give them the slip there?" Carlos continued scanning the cavern, searching for a way out of this rather unfortunate circumstance. The closeness of the Iskios was starting to mess with his preception of reality. His mind was shifting back and forth between his normal three minutes ahead and the current time, causing him much discomfort.

Achilleus sighed, looking around. He slowly raised one finger to his lips as Hyperion's voice came into earshot, and a scruffy man in a t-shirt and jeans climbed down the side of the rock face with him.

"Who could that be?" Achilleus wondered, but thought best not to ask aloud, for he might be heard by the Iskios or worse, Hyperion.

Carmen glanced uneasily at the two who now grew closer to them, and entered the shadowy bubble without fear.

"Victoria," Hyperion said, looking at the chasm, "You've done a good job of keeping our friends here safely, while I fetched our uncle."

"Uncle?" Carmen and Achilleus asked in unison, with a surprise. He looked like nothing of a god, but a mortal.

"I am very sorry to intrude," the man's gruff voice said, "But you all do seem to have some of my interest, Hyperion. But now, we venture back to the Underworld? My pit should be full of the worst kind."

"Sadly," Hyperion sighed, "Only Brother Kronos lies in its depths."

"Woah guys hold the phone." Jecht said looking at Hyperion and Tatarus. "What's going on?!" His mind was racing intaking their conversation. Hyperion:the titan of light. He thought to himself. Uncle? My pit? Brother Kronos lies in it? Kronos is in the pits of Tatarus, if that's his pit then he must be Tatarus, but how? I thought he was trapped in some mountain. "Your Tatarus aren't you?" Jecht said staring at the man in a t-shirt and an old pair of jeans his hand moving to a what seemed to be a small harmonica in his pocket.

Tartarus sighed deeply, making the cavern seem to move, "Yes, I am, young demigod. That is very unfortunate for you."

"We will leave now," Hyperion said, grandly, "Through the Labyrinth."

"The Labyrinth?" Tartarus asked questioningly.

"An invention of this mortal architect that continues to grow beneath the ground," Hyperion said as if it was nothing. The Greek symbol Delta appeared on the wall as Hyperion mumbled something in Greek and an entrance sprouted from it, revealing a large hole.

"Get in, demigods," Hyperion said, gruffly.

Achilleus knew what to do.

"Oh dear. Well, that would explain why we didn't see the enterance." Carlos thought. "Tartarus, eh? This plot goes deep. In more ways than one. I wonder how many others are on Vasillias' si-Oh my." Carlos sank to his knees. The strain of moving between the future and the present caused by the closeness of the Iskios proved to be too much. Using the staff to prop himself up, Carlos nodded towards the demon. "Hey, Helios, mind keeping her a little farther away? She's doing a number on my head. Bit of a strain being caused here. Hard to walk, you know?" Sweat was starting to bead up on Carlos' face. his breath was shallow, and harsh. Clearly in pain, he still had his customary smirk on his face. It was unclear to the other heros, however, what exactly was going on.

Hyperion stared at Carlos coldly, though his eyes glowed like flames, it seemed that he would burst into his godly form any moment with the annoyance of the demigods, though he could be soon rid of them, as soon as he got his hands on the son of Apollo, alone in the Labyrinth.

"Hyperion, sir?" Achilleus said, "Wouldn't it be best if we split into scouting groups of two so we know which way leads to the Underworld?"

"Ah," Hyperion said, glad he didn't have to bring up the idea, "Let's see, Carmen and Carlos; Tartarus and Jecht; Iskios and Brian; hmm, that leaves, myself, and you, Achilleus."

Achilleus sighed, his plan not working the way he wanted to. He planned on getting himself alone with the Iskios so he could use his necklace to vaporize her like the sun, underground.

"You know how everyone thinks that just cause im with Hade's kids and them they think i gotta act all tough and be in they faces and stuff its so dang annoying" . Britney said as she crossed her arms and looked at Roland. "With you i just feel....like normal"

What are the odds? Jecht thought looking at the diety in blue jeans and a t-shirt named Tatarus. Of course I get stuck with Tatarus. This'll be great. Just me and an evil deity that's been locked away for thousands of years and ready to unleash his anger out on me. Wow its like the perfect date. He thought sarcasticly to himself and then turned to the tunnels that supposedly led to the underworld. "Well, let's go then. We don't want to keep the god of sleep waiting.; All he has to do is make people sleepy. I wish he'd stop making my math class so boring so I fall asleep. Is that too much to ask?" He said still keeping his sarcasm even with the crsis at hand.

"As you will, Helios." Still using his staff to prop himself up, Carlos stumbled down on of the other tunnels with Carmen. The farther the went from the Iskios, the better he felt. In fact, down here, he felt better than he even had. Without the damping effects of the demon, his mind was becoming clearer, seeing the future better than he ever had before. Something about this place made him strong. "This is a strange place, is it not?" Carlos casually remarked to Carmen. "Even stranger that Helios would just let us wander off by ourselves. I would have thought he would have insisted on having us all watched."

"Morpheus isn't the god of sleep," Achilleus said, automatically, "He is the brother of the god of sleep, but he himself is the god of dreams."

Achilleus looked at Hyperion, who looked smugly proud of Achilleus, "Hypnos will most likely be with his brothers Thanatos, Morpheus, Icelos, and Phanatos, the latter also being dreams gods."

Achilleus climbed into the hole behind Carlos and Tartarus, who didn't look too happy with his arrangement, hoping to most likely plot with his nephew. A Titan and a Protogenoi, on the side of the evil god of the Darkest Shadows; it was nice how things work out against the good guys sometimes.

Roland smiled a bit, looking at Britney. She just couldn't keep her mouth shut when he was around, could she? "Well, do you want lunch or not?"

Britney said as she gave a fake and nervous chuckle at herself. She honestly wanted to kill herself. COWS EAT THER ENTIRE BODY WEIGHT come on me i gotta step my game up....OMG im ending up like those crazy people thats talk to herself in their minds. Britney though as she gave ff a nervous smile.

"It's okay," Roland said, looking at Britney, smiling. "We should probably get going, or else we'll be stuck with the slop food they give out last. And that's pretty cool, I didn't know that."

---

Hyperion climbed into the hole behind Achilleus, sighing slightly. It would be no trouble for a god to navigate the tunnels, but Hyperion felt it necessary to pull Achilleus to one of the dead ends and wheedle the password out of him, or make it forceful.

"I'm going to end this child, if I must, to get the prophecy," Hyperion thought to himself, looking at the back of Achilleus' head.

Brian gulped why did he have to be partnered with the Iskios? He tried not to let it show on his face but he couldn't help show his fear and look like an open book. He raised his hand getting the school time spirit since they were being paired off but put it down feeling stupid and asked his question anyway. "What are we supposed to be looking for anyway???" Brian asked uncertaintly.

OoC: And what is the Iskios and wwhy is it with us?!?!?

OOC: Iskios

A girl, who can blend in with shadows, and more importantly is a shadow. Daughter of Erebus, the god of Darnkess, and Styx, the goddess of the River Styx. The first encounter with an Iskios at the school was reported in 2010, when Jared Black sacrificed himself to stop the evil shadow from killing his friends. It is with us because Vasilias is their brother, and they find it in their best interests to come with us.

The Iskios glided into the hole after Brian. "We are looking for a path to the Underworld, and there are several, and we broke into separate groups to regroup at the Styx," the Iskios said, "Or that is Hyperion's plan anyway."

---

Hyperion walked slightly behind Achilleus who looked confused as they entered the same room for the third time, after taking three separate paths. "May I suggest walking through the wall?" Hyperion said, looking straight forward. He reached out to touch the wall in front of him and it disappeared immediately.

"Oh," Brian said thinking that was strange to split up and meet seperately. " So we don't even know where the entrances are?" Brian asked thinking it was strange a practically a wild goose chase. "I'm sure my dad could tell us. "Brian said holding up his cell phone." Or at least his snakes George and Martha would know..." Brian said as he scrolled through his contacts. He triped over a rock and went sailing but his phone changed to the caduceus and he did a forward flip and landed grabbing his phone.

"Boy, you think your caduceus will get any reception in the magically reinforced Labyrinth? Think again," the Iskios laughed dangerously, the shadows lining the wall of the caves moving with her laughter. "I can't even contact Vasilias through here, and all he needs is a proper shadow connection, but even the shadows here are confused."

The groups moved in their separate directions, but the maze of the Labyrinth is ever-changing, so there is no going back the way you came. It is filled with walls that are not walls, corridors that end in a deep shaft that have no bottom, and chambers where the worst sort of monsters live.

----

Hyperion walked behind Achilleus, who walked down a large marble corridor, as opposed to the vine-covered one beside it, and he watchd as the marble seemed to converge at the end, a trick of perspective to make the hallway seem larger, but the strangest part was, Achilleus and Hyperion were shrinking the farther they went down the corridor.

Jecht started walking into the dark tunnel. He was no fan of the dark, not being able to see whatever it contained, truthfully he hated and was completely afraid of the dark. He had his bow strung at all times fearing something would jump out and attack him. "So Tatarus, what's it like being stuck inside a mountain for a thousand years?" He asked Tatarus sarcasticly. Even though he tried to keep a normal tone you could just hear the fear in his voice. His strained his eyes as they slowly adjusted to the lack of light in the dark tunnel.

Brian looked at his phone which had somehow recieved a message from the MESSANGER god, but didn't want to argue. NVM Martha I don't need anything Brian sent back. The phone instantly sending the message to Martha, Hermes' Caduces snake. "So what do YOU plan on doing then?" Brian asked incredulously to the iskios. "We're not getting anywhere this way are we?" He asked looking at the dripping roof.

Achilleus turned around, looking back and saw Brian and the Iskios twenty feet behind them, in a foreign corridor. He ran that way, but Brian seemed abnormally large for a bit, but when Achilleus looked back at Hyperion, though, Hyperion was only about half a foot tall. "This corridor makes you smaller..." Achilleus noted, as Hyperion grew as he came to the mouth of the tunnel.

"Brian," Achilleus nodded.
