Tzeentch wasn't a new student, but no one needed to know that. He hung towards the back of the group and was sizing up the various new prospects in this years group. His eyes passed over Jason and he immediately knew that the boy was a technophile. It wasn't hard to read the excitement in his body language, despite how much he suppressed it. That linked with the fact that his eyes were darting from one piece of electronic equipment to another all over the place made it rather obvious. Tzeentch calmly came to walk beside the new blood, a slight smile on his face.

"A lot to take in, eh?"

He decided to take a much smoother, less buddy-buddy approach with this one. Perhaps he could find a minion in at least one of these. And who knows, maybe this kid could be the one.

Jason turned, and looked at Tzeentch, and let his eyes roam over the older boy's self. He must be an older student. Who does he think he is, that he can just walk up to me and start talking?...but, of course, maybe he's just trying to be friendly. Though in a place like this, his eyes swept around once more, you can't really trust anyone, now can you? I don't know...let's just see where this goes? Jason nodded. "Indeed...And, who are you?" Try to keep it friendly, not too rude, not too lovey-dovey, and hopefully he won't try to kill me...if I'm lucky enough. Of course, maybe he needs me for something.

Tzeentch loved how he could just see the gears spinning within Jason's head. He loved watching others try and work out the reasoning behind something he did, and it was even more amusing to keep them guessing.

"Name's Tzeentch. And who are you? I ask because I can't just call you 'lad' 'boy' or 'you there, with the blue eyes and the long hair'."

Tzeentch just loved acting strange for no particular reason at all. He was, however, careful to keep his antics contained well enough to avoid detection for the most part. The last thing he wanted was to be on the receiving end of the Contessa. She is quite the formidable woman. He kept the friendly smile upon his face as he continued to walk beside the new student, patiently waiting for his answer.

Cyrus was glad the boy left and continued to learn as much a possible from the Contessa without asking questions. Once he was confident he knew the basic layout of H.I.V.E, he was shown the first-year's scheule. Apparently, they all had the same classes at the same times. Finally, they ended up in a room with many small cubicles. "Students, meet HIVE mind." She waved her hand towards a screen in the back wall. A blue face lit up the screen, made of many sysmettrical squares. "Good morning, Contessa. First years?" The computor's face turned sharply towards the students, who jumped slightly at the sudden apperance of the AI. "Yes. Give them new uniforms." She said. HIVE mind dissappeared, but his voice came out of every cubicle in the room. "Please step into one of the fitting rooms, children."

Jason blinked. He does have quite a point. It would make sense for him to know my name so that he can properly address me. "I'm Jason." Then Hive Mind's voice came over the intercom. Amazing. The place just got better and better. Jason turned and walked away from Tzeentch and entered one of the dressing rooms. He couldn't stop turning around and around, now that there was no one to watch him. This...this place just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait until I can get my hands on some of that technology; there's no end to what I could do with all of it.

"So, ye be HIVEMind? A pleasure, sir. But, of course there's no need for me to recieve a new set of clothing. Mine'll do just fine." Brian, having stepped into one of the changing rooms, was slightly unsettled by their "tour". Clearly, this "Dr. Nero" was very well versed in diplomatic techniques. Keep your opponents off-guard, hit them with new information every time they think they've figured things out, bedazzle them. "And it's working." He thought with a grimace. He had seen the look on the other students faces. They were mostly amazed, terrified, or some combination of the two. In fact, only two others besides himself seemed unfazed. The boy he had ridden in with, and someone who seemed to be trying to make as many friends as possible. Both should be watched. "All very peculiar. Lots of strange characters in this place. Best to lie low for a little while. In this place, no sense in drawing attention to meself."

"Hello, Master Jason." HIVE mind replied with a slight nod. "Please stand still while sizing takes place." A blue grid slid across the cubicles's walls and floor. "Screening complete." A white jumpsuit slid out of a hole next to HIVE mind's screen. "Please place your other clothes in the chute and dress in these, Master Jason. Do you have any questions?"

"Hello, Master Brian." HIVE mind replied with the same nodd and: "please stand still while sizing takes place." The blue grid slid across the walls like some strange bug, and a black jumpsuit slid out of an idenical hole. "Please place all other clothing in the chute and dress yourself in these. Do you have any questions?"

"Now then HIVE mind, that really just isn't necessary. I'm sure my clothes'll do just fine. Why don't you just send this suit back to wherever it is you got it, and I'll be on my way." Brian spoke in calm, soothing tones, ones that might put a person straight-away under his spell. He smiled slightly. He was going to have fun here, he could tell. "Aye, and while you're at it, perhaps you could provide me with a map of the place? Just so I can find my way around, ye understand." Yes, he was going to have a lot of fun here indeed . . .

HIVE mind's eyes narrowed. "Master Brian, unless you wish to deny protocoll, you ought to don these clothes. I understand you where used to getting your way during your unoffical education in villiany, but this is no longer the case." HIVE mind shook his head. "As for the map, that would deny prottoccol as well. THe school is quite secure, and you will learn as much as you must know from a blackbox issued by Contessa or another of the staff. So, kindly don these clothes!"

Brian slowly blinked in surprise. "Er . . . uh . . . yes, sir." Slowly, with a rather shocked expression on his face, he put on the suit, thinking, "Impossible! No one has resisted my voice before. Who - what is this thing? It can't be human. At least, not a normal human." Behind the glasses, his eyes narrowed. "I'm starting to like this place less and less. Crazy Doctors, insane Countesses, and now this. A way out must be found as soon as possible. A place where my voice does not work on everyone is not a good place for me to be." The suit doned, Brian slowly stood, his back to the face of HIVE mind, and put his old clothes into the shute. "Fine. But the glasses stay."

(OOC: Not budging on that one. If they want the glasses off, they'd best be ready for a fight! :))

"Optical difficulties, I see. Of course, Master Brian, you may keep your glassess. Is there anything else I can attend to? Any immedaite need?" HIVE Mind glanced down towards the chute, and a black, computor like device siliar to an I-phone on a much larger scale, scrolled out. "Please take this blackbox, capable of communicating with other blackboxes and granting you security acess to many of the buildings about HIVE."

"Hehe . . . optical difficulties. An odd way of putting it, but sure." As Brian stepped out of the changing room, he turned back at the face of HIVE mind. Brian studied the face for a moment, searching for some clue as to exactly what HIVE mind was. Perhaps a little surprisingly, Brian smiled a little. "Ye know what, mind? I think I like you. My kind of guy. I look forward to working with you here." With that, Brian stepped out of the cubicle, scanning the crowd of students. "Hmmmm . . . first, we need to find someone easily manipulated. Not like that kid on the helicopter. Too smart, and too sure of himself, that one." Such were Brian's thoughts as he looked over the crowd. His eyes came to rest on two rather large looking boys, the only ones in the crowd wearing blue suits. "Hehehe. Muscle-bound, but with a rather unintellegent look about them. Obviously overwhlemed at everything. Perfect. I'll mark them for later coersion." Brian moved on, seeing the boy he had ridden in with. "Urgh. A definate addition to the watch list. He might be useful as a lieutenant, if he can be convinced of the importance of alliegiance." Continuing on his search, his eyes pass over Jason, not marking him as anything special. At last, his eyes fall on Tzeentch. "Now then, who are you?" he wondered. "I don't recall seeing you when we landed. I would have been sure to notice you. Very confident, very intellegent face, well built too. Definately right under Dr. Nero and the Contessa on the to-watch list." Returning to the crowd, Brian locks eyes with the Contessa. After a brief staring match, Brian lowers his eyes and smiles slightly, nodding his head in capitulance. "First step in negotiations: give your enemy a false sense of security. Make them feel like they are in charge. Set them up for the fall." This was going to be a fun time.

HIVE mind's face disappeared from Brian's cubicle as he left, narry a nod at Brian's gesture of friendship. The Contessa glanced around, and, seeing everyone was out of their changing rooms, grinned. "Well, now that we're all cozied up in our new uniforms, I'll take you to your living blocks. Block 4, come with me." At the confusion from the students, The Contessa a prompted. "Oh! Pardon me." She took out her own blackbox, and hit a couple buttons on it. Instantly, The blackboxes in Brian's, Cyrus's, and Jason's made a small beeping noise, and projected "block 4" into the air. "Come with me, you three." She swept out of the room, Cyrus following suit.

((Sorry about not responding, life caught up to me))

Jason donned the jumpsuit without a fuss. As he changed, he decided he would try. "HIVE-Mind...you couldn't manage to get me any 'special' electronic 'toys,' could you? That would very much make my day right about now." And I would be able to have so much fun, building anything from the world's deadliest virus...to the world's smallest death ray!...Okay...that last one sounded a little cliche, but hey, anything has got to be possible in a place like this, right? Maybe I'll skip the little, and just build something that can blow up the moon...that would be fun.

HIVE mind smiled at Jason. "Perhaps, Master Jason. Here's the first, perhaps the first of many." A blackbox slid out of the slot. "You can use that Blackbox to contact me, as well as many other teachers in the school. As well, the blackbox has other functions suitable to school life." HIVE mind glanced outside. "Now, hurry up. Your block is just leaving now." The cubicle door opened with a 'swish,' revealing the Contessa walking away with Cyrus and Brian.

OoC: Blocks are these:

Jason and Cyrus in one room

Brian and Tzeench(?) in another. Want to see how to manipulators deal with each other...and the ANGELS are coming in soon. Need to acronim that...

Jason swiped at the blackbox. "Sweet! I'll have fun with this...Trust me, this thing will be much different after I'm done with it." Jason hurried out of the cubicle and rejoined Contessa and the others. Checking his blackbox, he saw that he was going to be in the same block as Cyrus. Interesting...this will be quite interesting indeed. Now...to master this blackbox. The remainder of the tour, Jason had his nose stuck in the blackbox, learning all about it: its glitches (there were none), its programs (very fun), and everything else.

OOC: Tzeentch. It has two T's.

IC: Tzeentch simply locked gazes with Brian for a brief moment as the younger boy was looking upon him. He simply smiled and began to make his way, apart from the group, back to the dormitory in which he resided. Though he was technically already a student, he did enjoy walking amongst the newer students and wearing the clothes he had originally had when he first came. It had been a simple matter to persuade the guard into allowing him to retrieve them, simply becoming a sort of 'friend' with the man before walking into the storage facility where the civilian clothes were kept to be returned to the students at a later time. (correct me if I'm wrong in that.) Tzeentch also often managed to simply vanish without leaving much trace behind, much like he did now to avoid the Contessa detecting him. Upon reaching his Dormitory after a minute's sneaking, he calmly slipped in, closed the door, and began to quickly change into his own jumpsuit, stashing the civilian clothes in a safe place.

Brian entered the room he was soon to share with Tzeentch, immediatly noticing two things: One, he was alone, and two, there were two beds. Which ment he was going to have a roomie. "Oh, what fun. Since it's not that kid I came in with, or the other one with the new students, that probably means I'll be rooming with an older student. The Contessa would have brought any other new students with her, rather than having to make two trips here." Sitting down on one bed, Brian began to take stock of his surroundings carefully. "Hmmm . . . two beds, two closests, one bathroom. No visible security cameras, which probably means that they are just well hidden in a place like this. As we're underground, no windows. Only one way in and one way out." Giving the door a closer look, he noticed no lock mechanism. Which probably ment it was locked from the outside, or from a remote location. "Clever. We can't get in or out without someone knowing." It was then the bathroom door opened, and Tzeentch stepped out. Brian immediatly recognized him as the odd-man-out in the orrientation. Right below Dr. Nero and the Contessa on the watch-list. "Oh, hey. Didn't see you there. Name's Brian. Brian Channing." He smiled rather blithely, focusing hard on keeping his face unintelligent, while at the same time talking at just the right tones to keep his opponent in a sense of calm. It was hard, requiring a lot of concentration, but it was worth it. Maintaining good relations with one's opponent was crucial in any negotiations. "I saw you during the tour, but I didn't see you come off a helicopter. Are you an old student here?" The sooner Brian figured out exactly who this guy was, the better. Unknown factors were a big no-no in any situation, and the more Brian knew, the better position he was in for his eventual infiltration of some of the upper levels of the school. Which he would need for his eventual leaving, whether through the normal school ciriculum or another road . . .

Cyrus plopped down on the bed. Comfy enough. There was 2 beds, which meant a roommate. I guess it was too much to ask to have a room to himself. After setting his blackbox on his desk (there where two: one for each bed,) he settled himself down for a nap, and went to sleep in 3 seconds flat.

"Anything of interest going on?" Asked Nero as the Contessa strode into his office, her duties done. "Nothing. 3 new boys to watch out for, and that one in his cizillian clothes we've been keeping as an experiment. Nothing else." Nero narrowed his eyes at her. "Well, then, have a look at this." He snapped, and a moitor lowered, showing a screen of seemingly random text. "HIVE mind can't seem to decipher it, and it was sent this morning. Obviously, one of the new students is a spy." He sighed. "Any ideas?" He asked. The Contessa smiled. "What if...it was 'acciendeally' sent to one of the students? Or..." Nero iterupted her. "I have a better idea. Get professor Pike here, now!"

Jason made it to his dorm. He entered, and saw two beds, one of which had a kid lying on it. Cyrus, if he remembered correctly. There were also two desks, and closets for clothes. ((Correct me if I'm wrong, haven't read the book in a while.)) Jason walked over to his bed, and laid down on it. He pulled the blackbox out of his pocket and looked at it. He had already mastered the thing; he knew everything it could do, and how to make it work. Jason sighed. The technology was fantastic, but it was just too easy to learn. Oh well... Jason thought. Can't have everything, can I?

A message appeared in Jason's black-box. It was his classes. In first, was something called "Basic Tech" for "Newcomers." It was with a teacher named "Professuer Peter Pike." At the sound of Jason, Cyrus jumped up, standing on the bed in a fighting stance. He lowered his hands. "Oops. It's you. Sorry, it's a force of habit." He sat. "So, what do you figure about this place? Is it cool or what? But is everything...okay here?"

Jason started as Cyrus awoke. "Sorry. Forgot about you." Jason sat up, and put the blackbox down on his bedside table. "You seriously want to know my opinion about this place? Well...I don't know right now. You'll just have to wait, and I will tell you later. But now...I think it's not too bad. The room's are nice; the uniforms aren't too horrible...and then, there's their technology. Man! What I wouldn't give to be able to have all the blueprints and readouts for this place. There's no telling what I could do; what I could build, what I could destroy!" Jason laughed maniacally, then stopped when he realized that Cyrus was still there. "...Sorry," he said.

Cyrus grinned. "Well, you are evil genius material, aren't you?" He sighed. "This place is strucually sound, hard to break out of and even harder to break into. And we don't even know where in the world HIVE is. But, it's easy to get caught up in the vibe of the place, but don't, okay? It'll be easier to-" He was cut off by the lights promptly turning off. "Oh, lights out, I guess." He fell asleep immediatly, once again.
