Jason stood out on the road, and stared at the scene before him. He had led himself astray, and was lost somewhere on the route above Littleroot Town. Now, worse, he saw as he looked around, wild Pokemon were starting to pop up. Jason took a little gulp, wondering if they were safe or not. Without warning, a Beedrill flew at him, its huge stinger-arms outstretched. Jason leapt to the side, and pulled a Pokeball off his belt. He pressed the button, and a little Piplup popped out. "Piplup, I choose you!" The Piplup looked around, and saw the Beedrill. A little pouty face of indignation came over it, and it squeaked: "Piplup!" Jason shook his head at his Pokemon's antics. "Piplup, use Water Gun!" The Piplup took in a big breath, and sprayed out a jet of water. It hit the Beedrill, and it was knocked out. "Alright," Jason said, pumping the air with a fist.

Matthew sighed a little as she looked down at the depressing box of corn flakes. The normally jubilant and full container managed only the briefest hint of movement when shaken; the sounds emitted no longer the cacophony of crackles and crunches one would expect from the king of breakfast cereals. She glanced in; only a small amount of the stiff flakes of grain remained, a golden treasure trove at the bottom of a looted tomb.

Annoyance crossed her features with a predominant frown, a long lock of hair drooping down almost enough to obscure her vision. Her expression turned from disappointment to an irritated scowl, as she put the box back on the counter with a firey rage, the same lock of hair quickly sticking up as if caught in the same hurricane of emotion as the girl it was attached to.

"Alright, which one of you unlucky sods downed the corn flakes, eh? Fess up!" she called. There were three simultaneous twitches as three pairs of eyes stared up at her, all trying to look as innocent as possible. She examined them all with a huff and a cross of her eyes, trying to decide whether to rain punishment on all three for seeming so guilty or not.

Kyrit was the most blatant about it, sprawled out on the floor like the lioness she was. Like most Luxray, her gaze was quite literally electrifying, but at the moment it had no bite to it. Instead it was a lazy, lopsided glance that just screamed, 'if I did, what would you do about it?'. Matthew frowned a little at the feline; Though a little annoyed at her impudence, it was unlikely she ransacked the breakfast snack she was so partial to. Her gaze didn't seem insincere enough... plus, Kyrit hated grains and wasn't particularly partial to any cereal, really.

That left two suspects; The Seadra, who at the moment was attempting to look nonchalant despite glancing away in a panic every few seconds, or the tittering Sandslash who jumped when Matthew passed a glance her way.

She pursed her lips. Now this was the difficult part; She doubted they worked together. No, they would have thought it out better if they had two heads on the situation. That meant only one of them could have ransacked her precious vault of breakfast goodness... Though which one?

The answer came to her in a gleam as she caught sight of Kyrit's shifting, the Luxray yawning a little as her tail moved. She walked over casually to the dark furred creature, knelt down, and gave her a quick stroke from the neck and ears.

Immediately, the fur perked up on contact, flooding her entire body with a potent electrical charge that was thankfully quite harmless. She could feel the wave as it stirred through the feline's entire body, and against her better judgment, smiled a little as her scalp prickled due to the charges linking up with the synapses in her brain.

Then, quick as a flash, like a cool voice speaking to her mind, came the words.

"Vicis did it." She heard the Luxray say in a fairly disinterested tone.

She ripped her hand away from the fur quick as a flash, instantly enraged again. "Vicis! Why you, I should tear your wings right off!"

There was a large amount of squabble as the sea-dragon hopped and glided into the air for safety, Seriat ducked for cover and Kyrit chuckled quietly to herself as she licked a paw. It was, more or less, an ordinary morning for them.

Jared had walked into Mt. Chimney for some rigorous training. After that last contest, Jay believed that they were in some serious need of training. Mt. Chimeny was perfect for all sorts of training. It included a grassy area and a mountain terrain.

"Ralts use Shadow Ball, then follow up with Teleport." Ralts shot a black blob straight up in the sky. Then disappeared in a flash of blue light, then reappeared right above the ball.

"Now use Confusion." Ralts released a blue shock wave of energy imbued with Ralts's thought toward the black blob, which exploded into black and blue sparks, that gently descended to the ground.

"Ralts, Teleport one more time." Ralts then teleported back to his original space where the harmless sparks descended on the psychic Pokemon.

"No. We need to do it again. We were too slow." Ralts seemed disappointed as it had tried its hardest.

"Maybe we should try something harder. Maybe a battle is needed." Although Jay, knew Ralts hated battling, he still made him battle, as he knew that Ralts feared battling, because he thought he was too weak.

Jason's stomach growled. "Ah, man. I'm hungry." The Piplup, which was still out, squeaked in agreement. "Alright, buddy, let's eat." Jason proceeded to pull the other two Pokeballs off of his belt, and released his other two Pokemon, a Buizel and a Riolu. "Alright, guys, let's eat." Jason pulled out a couple bowls, and poured Pokemon pellets into them. He set them down, and his three Pokemon attacked the bowls hungrily. "Whoa guys, slow down or you'll get stomachaches." Jason laughed as his Pokemon ignored him, then pulled out a sandwich in a baggie. He pulled it out, and began eating.

Bridger spoke softly to his injured Espeon. "It's alright boy, you did your best." Bridger lifted his face, and rubbed his cheek, then returned Espeon to his ball. "That was quite a match you put up.", said the boy across the field. Bridger responded, "Agreed, enjoy your adventure." Bridger turned around, and began walking towards route 112, which would lead him directly to Lavaridge. In hopes of battling Flannery, Bridger knew he would have to heal up, and do some training along the way. He let Nidoking out. "Alright buddy, off to 112." And with that statement, Nidoking lifted Bridger up over his head, and sat him promptly behind his horn. They began walking.

"Poliwrath, use Water Pulse, and freeze it with an Ice Beam!" Kyle shouted, using one of his oldest contest techniques. The ball of water bounded towards Coralina's Aerodactyl, the Ice Beam both freezing it and giving it more momentum as it slammed into the Fossil pokemon, showering into small ice crystals. Aerodactyl quickly returned attack with Coralina's commanded Ancientpower. "Dodge it Poliwrath!" Shouted Kyle, as Poliwrath leaped into the air, nearly being hit by the attack.

Coralina shrugged at Aerodactyl. "Aerodactyl, try one more Ancientpower!" This Ancientpower didn't miss, and Kyle's Poliwrath was hit directly.

"Ok you two," Kyle shouted, "I think you've had enough. Practice time is over!" With that, Kyle reached out his hand with a pokeball ad his Poliwrath turned into a beam of light, returning into the ball. "It's your turn Torkoal," he said to his smokey companion. "Lets check out your appeal!"

Kyle's Torkoal leapt onto the battlefield as if it was a stage. Coralina's Aerodactyl flew behind Coralina to watch the performance. "Torkoal, start out with Sunny Day!" Torkoal obeyed and shot an orange light into the sky, intensifing the sun. "Now, Torkoal, use Ancientpower." Torkoal concentrated, this was a move he had trouble with, but today, he felt confident and soon, 10 shining balls of energy floated around him. "Now torkoal, just as we practiced. Use Overheat on the Ancientpower!" Torkoal shot each ball with a flame coming out from his shell. They erupted in a beutiful shower of orange sparkles. "Yeah! Great job Torkoal! If that doesn't win the contest for us, then nothing will!" Kyle shouted at Torkoal.

Jared picked up Ralts and place him on his head, which was Ralts main transportation vehicle. He started walking down Jagged Pass. Getting down there would led him into Lavaridge, which was trainer haven because of its Gym. Just then Jared saw the rustle of grass. Ralts held on tighter to Jared's head, as he was afraid of the Pokemon that might be in the grass.

"Oh Ralts, were going to have to work on your courage. Lets go Numel." Jared pulled off one of the Pokeballs and released from it a yellow camel like Pokemon. "Use Magnitude!" Numel slammed his feet on the ground shaking it violently. Whatever Pokemon was in the grass had stopped rustling.

After walking for about 30 minutes, Lavaridge came into view. "Ralts are you ready?"

Zack had just woke up. He was to start his journey today and his Blastoise, Charmander and Shinx were all ready. Zack got dressed and started to pack his bag for the journey. "mmmm.. maybe I should take some money so I could buy some food and get some pokemon Suppiles."

He went over to his mom and asked his mom for some money for the journey. Mom seemed to want me out of the house as soon as possible because she handed over half of her money without saying a word. Zack went back up stairs to get his clothes and possessions in his bag. He had left the house went out to route 1. He headed for Oldale City.

"Alright, guys. Dinner's over." Jason walked around, collecting the empty Pokemon bowls, and collecting his Pokemon in their 'balls. He looked up, and saw that the sun was beginning its descent; it was now past noon. Aw, crap. I really don't want to stay in this stinking forest longer than I really have to, he thought. He decided he would just have to pick a direction, and head straight until he reached the edge of the forest. He spun around, and after a moment, stopped. He shrugged, and began walking in the direction he faced.

Dom woke up couple hours later from when he went to bed. He got up and went to see if Silvery was still awake. She was asleep. He smiled then walked outside to the porch.

"Shh Cubone, Youll wake everyone up." Cubone looked Guilty before then hopped onto Dom's back. Dom climbed down off the tree fort, then headed down to the waterfall.

"Come on girl." Eternity smiled down at her Houndour, it had stopped again to sniff flowers, there was no time for that though, the girl tugged sharply on the Houndour's leash, she only really walked her that way because it was different, how many trainers kept thier pokemon on leashes? Not that it mattered really.

"Hounnnnnd!" The Houndour argued, but eventually followed.

"Don't worry girl we'll be having our first gym battle soon. after that we'll take a nice long walk in a park, okay?"

"Houn-houndour!" The little fire-breathing dog barked in approval, and the pair set off.

Clair woke up, and was momentarily confused.

Where..am I?

Then she remembered. She had left her beloved city of Blackthorn to start over again in a new region, with new Pokemon, in search of excitement. She clenched the PokeBall holding her newly bred Dratini. It was the only thing that brought back memories of home.

She squinted out the window at the Littleroot sunshine shining on her face, sighed, and pulled herself out of bed. She fastened her black cloak and blue boots, and went downstairs. The inn owner, Martha, was waiting for her.

"Hi dear!" she said cheerfully, holding out a plate of rice balls and donuts. "Have some breakfast!" Clair gave her a sleepy smile and gracefully declined, pocketing some food for later. She stepped out into the bright meadow that was Littleroot Town, and took a deep breath.

Here we go...

Coralina stepped back from the performance. She'd seen it multiple times before, just never this good. She turned to her pokemon, also stunned in amazement. "Watch closely guys, this is a great example a pokemon who know what they're doing." She whispered to them. This was the third time Torkoal had made his performance. Sure, it was getting better, but Coralina wavered on impatience. She was getting bored of the same thing over and over. She snuck out from the audience of her and their pokemon, and walked over to the river near which their secret base was located. She was hungry for lunch, so she walked along the river looking for something to fill her almost empty stomach.

Soon though she forgot about her hunger when she saw a ripple in the river. She pulled out a good rod and aimed for where the slight movement came from. From the clear river, she pulled a Magikarp. I should have expected that. She thought to herself, before returning to the hunt for food.

Jason opened his eyes, and looked at the sun through the trees. He stayed like that, for five minutes maybe, before he stood up. He wiped the dew off of his body, and pulled himself out of his sleeping bag; at least he had that. He tried to remember what direction he had been going in, but couldn't. So he just picked another direction, and began hiking.

After a while, Jason saw that the trees were starting to thin. He broke into a sprint, eager to get out of the forest, but stumbled. He fell flat on his face, and his ankle twisted. Jason gritted in pain. He lay writing for what felt like hours, then tried to stand up. As he put his foot down, he winced at the pain, but noted that his foot seemed fine. He reached down, and picked up a large stick anyway. Then, using the stick as a crutch, he began to make his way out of the forest.

Bridger hopped off of Nidoking as he approached a trainer standing in the road. He challenged Bridger to a battle. Knowing training would be a necessity, Bridger began by sending Nidoking forward. The trainer released an Electrike, and commanded him to volt tackle. Bridger knew Nidoking wouldn't be able to dodge with no damage, so he reversed it. "Nidoking, bow your head so he rams your horn." Nidoking did as told. The dog sensed the change of stance, and barely missed Nidoking's horn. Bridger thought "That dog has a keen sense, especially moving at a blinded speed." Bridger thought it might be a good time to teach the dog what he can and can't dodge. He commanded, "Nidoking, Earthquake." Promptly, the ground began to shake. Within seconds, the trainer across the way began to freak out. "No Ele!" he called. A grumbled order was made, and the dog managed to leap out of the gapping crater. A lightning bolt flew towards Nidoking, hitting him directly in the horn. The large purple beast fell back, and did not return to his feet. "Enough for you. Return." Bridger stated harshly. "Shall we continue then?" Bridger asked inquisitively. The boy nodded, and Bridger threw another pokeball. This one contained Espeon. "Lets end this quick, use your blitz combo." said Bridger demandingly. Espeon understood instantly, and immediately initiated the combination. First, a Psychic was shot at the Eletrike to boggle his brain. Then, he was hit with Hypnosis. After he fell asleep, multiple Psy-Beams were launched, hitting him directly. He woke. The trainer tried to command him to get out of the way, but it was to late when a mirage of swifts blew him away. "Game over.", said Bridger.

Jared stepped onto the rocky ground of Route 112. Its somewhat flat terrain was a relief to Jay's legs after walking down Jagged Pass. It was only a little bit more until Lavaridge, but Jared was kind of tired of walking and wanted to get there much quicker. "Ralts, you know what to do." The little Pokemon began growing blue then just like that Jared and Ralts were gone.

Jared and Ralts appeared right at the end of Route 112. To the left of him were two trainers. One had a fainted Electrike, while the other had a victorious looking Espeon. Jared would have talked to them, but when Ralts used Teleport to carry more than himself it severely weakened him. Jared walked into Lavaridge and stared at the Pokmon Center. "We're almost there" he said to Ralts.

Clair set off for Oldale Town, her PokeNav beeping gently on her wrist. As she stepped over a little foothill in the route, she suddenly was taken aback. A Seedot stared back her, shaking a little.

"Okay, Dratini, test battle!" Clair whispered, and released her Dratini from under her cloak. The Pokemon looked at her expectantly, awaiting a command.

Time to see if I've still got it. Clair thought, smiling.

"Dratini, use a Thunder Wave!"

An electric shock erupted from Dratini's body, and hit the Seedot squarely. The Pokemon was knocked backwards and unable to stand.

"Dratini, finish him! Slam!"

Dratini rammed into the Seedot, sending it flying back into the bushes with a little squeal of pain. Clair smirked.

First test, passed.

"Woo-Hoo!!! Come on, Arc, I know you can go faster than that!" Daisuke shouted, riding on the back of his long time friend, Arcanine. They were going pretty fast, and Arcanine was dodging through branches of the forest that they were exploring at the moment. The blazing canine sped up after hearing Daisuke's voice. He let out a loud and cheerful bark

"Arcanine!" He barked as he blasted through a thick pinewood branch.

As Daisuke and Arcanine did this, many 'Starly' were flying up to the top of the canopy. Arcanine then blasted his way through more thick vines until finally they had reached the light at the end of this forest. A small smile appeared along Daisuke's face as he and Arcanine reached the end of the forest. When they were out, Arcanine stopped and Daisuke hopped off

"That was great! Your were awesome!" Daisuke praised the blazing canine. Arcanine barked in amusement as Daisuke petted him.

"Alright Arcanine...." Daisuke said to the pokemon, kneeling down beside it "Use Fire Fang on that tree over there..."

Daisuke pointed to a tree that was bigger than the others. Arcanine barked and took charge for the tree

He held up his blazing paw and charged fire into it. After doing this, Arcanine pounced gracefully, and hit the tree with a successful fire fang. Almost as soon as he did this, confused and dizzy 'Caterpie' had fallen from the tree. Daisuke smiled, reaching for a pokeball in his jacket

"Cmon out, Treeko!" he yelled, throwing the pokeball. Daisuke watched in amusement as Treeko blasted out of his pokeball, and stood proudly beside Arcanine.

Dom was looking at the waterfall at some time in the morning. "Cubone and Growlithe, i think we should go get some gym badges. But it dosent matter that i only got 2 pokemon does it?"

A large helicopter landed near the town, asking if anyone wanted to go to Mauville City. Dom quickly sprinted with his pokemon to the chopper, before taking off towards Mauville City.

----------------------

1 Hour later.

----------------------

They landed outside of Mauville City. Dom returned his Cubone, so Growlithe could get some training.

Clair was sitting pensively by a large oak tree, looking out over the small gathering of buildings that was Oldale Town. She thought about Blackthorn City, and how much busier it was.

"C'mon out, Dratini. I need some company."

Clair smiled as the little Pokemon eyed her cloak expectatantly.

"Hungry are you?" Clair gave her signature half-smile as she reached into her cloak and pulled out several rice balls and a donut. Dratini gnawed happily on a rice ball. Clair petted it on the head, and reclined.

It's so nice to be away from the Gym for a while.. she thought, closing her eyes.

"Alright, Treeko, use Pound on that 'Caterpie'!" Daisuke commanded, pointing towards the only Caterpie that wasn't as dizzy as the others. Treeko turned to glance at Daisuke. The pokemon's face was cocky and somewhat rude

"Tree-ko" It said, turning it's head away from his master. Treeko ignored the command, and instead, just stood there, mocking Daisuke.

"Ay, Ay! That's not what your suppossed to do..." Daisuke sighed, losing his confidence. He held up Treeko's pokeball

"Return..." he sighed again. Treeko was instantly pulled back into the pokeball. Daisuke looked at the pokeball and then at Arcanine

"I'm not giving up on him just yet! You just wait, one day, that Treeko will be battling by our side, helping us reach our goals..." Daisuke shouted "And one day, our goals, will also become his goals!...But for now...I guess...It's gonna take alot of work..."

Daisuke sighed again and then pulled out Jolteon's pokeball.

Tim was flat on his stomach, with a pair of binoculars out, on a low hillock, watching a pack of Poochyena determining which of them as the Alpha Male.

I didn't actually realise how fascinating Poochyena can be, he mused, if I had I might have looked into them more before now. Oh well, that's why I'm here - well for the most part at least - to study what lives here.

The pack reached a consensus and ran off elsewhere. Tim sighed, rolled over, and sat up, reaching for three round objects on his belt. He pulled two of them off. Sorry Lapras, but I don't think you'll like this place.

"I'm done, Leafeon, Starly," he muttered, releasing the two pokémon. One was a vaguely fox-like creature with a leaf-like tail and ear tips, whilst the other was a small black and white bird. The fox-like pokémon - Leafeon - looked around, and, seemingly satisfied, settled down alongside the man, who rubbed it behind the ears. The bird - Starly - fluttered about excitedly, and began to pester the others for attention. Tim found a rock somewhere near his hand and half-heartedly tossed it past the bird. Instantly it hurried to pick it up, and began to roll it between it's wings.

"Simple minds are easily occupied, eh Leafeon?" he muttered, looking out over the hill. Below he could see Odale town, and beyond that, in the distance, was Littleroot Town. "I suppose I really should go and let Professor Birch know I'm about," he muttered, "I heard he's overworked, so who knows, I might even get some paid work out of him."

Timmy had made it to Rustborro, this was one gym where he'd have an absolutely definative advantage, Eggsecute and Mankey were both strong against the rock-type pokemon wielded by the gym leader here, he was confident. bordering on cocky. He passed by the Pokemon school, Devon Corperation's headquaters, everywhere, this was mostly because he didn't like asking directions. He was stubourne as a mule. But finally, after a long time spent looking, he did find his way. He stood before the gym for a moment, his first gym battle just moments away. He could do it. he was psyched up. He was dreaming of a Stone Badge, all shined up. It, along with all the other badges he aquired would hang from the inside of his coat. As he opened the door and stepped in to the room, the arena was clearly visible, Roxanne the gym leader on the other hand, was not. his tags jingled as he scanned the area for her.

Feeling a hand on his shoulder, Timmy turned, it was a young man, only a few years older then Timmy himself. The man began to speak.

"Roxanne isn't in, you're going to have to wait, you can stay here if you want, or you could head down to the Pokemon School, but she'll be finished there soon."

"You've gotta be-" He started, but decided not to finish the sentence. he moved over to the battle field and began to survey it while he waited. There were a lot of rocks, a cunning, athletic pokemon like his Mankey would be able to leap around to great effect. Hiding, dodging weaving. This was going to be good.

Jason walked up the road, tired, and his foot paining him. After a few minutes, he saw a girl eating, and a Dratini beside her. He limped up to her, and looked longlingly at the food; he hadn't eaten anything but bread and meat for the past three days. He gulped, and wiped away a trail of drool.

"UH...hi," he said sheepishly. I must look a mess, he thought. "My name's Jason...um...could I have some food,...please?"
