DARKPLANT RISING
Yugioh is based upon Magic the gathering according to Kazuki Takahashi, but as far as I can see it's way more of an sucess than its counterpart. Pokemon card game, why did they create it? The Nintendo game rocks 1200 times more. And what is Battle Spirits, seriously.

Battle Spirits is a fantasy game where players attempt to master the use of their “core” to summon spirits from the lands of undead, ice, war and peace. The unique core mechanic introduces a new way to play trading card games that creates immediate conflicts right from the start of the game. for more information bout this game http://www.bandaicg.com/battlespirits/designerblog.php

Jace Beleren
[spoiler=Read this]A lot of you have probably played a number of other trading card games and you might be wondering whether Battle Spirits is something you should check out or if it is just another in a long line of trading card games that have come out in the last several years. The answer is easy. You should absolutely check out Battle Spirits. Let me tell you why. Battle Spirits has a cost and rules for the creatures that makes the game play very different from the current popular trading card games' date=' Yugioh, Magic, World of Warcraft, and Pokemon. In Pokemon, you attach energy cards to your creatures to power their abilities. If the creature is destroyed, you are out the energy cards and will probably have a hard time recovering. In Battle Spirits when a spirit is destroyed, you get the core back and can use it to bring out another spirit or to power up one of your other spirits that is left. In Battle Spirits, every card you put into your deck is playable, although your deck will be more efficient if you focus on one or two colors. Your decision is how to maximize all of your cards! In Yugioh, you are restricted in the number of creatures you can play out in a turn. In Battle Spirits, if you have enough core you can play out all the spirits in your hand with no restrictions. What is core you ask? There are two resources you have to manage in the game, your cards and your core. Core represent crystals that you use to pay for your creatures, but core also can be used to power up existing creatures. Every turn you get core back that you spent to pay for creatures the previous turn (plus you get an additional core every turn), and when creatures die you get the core back from them. This means you have a stable amount of resources to use and have competitive options in the game early and late. In Yugioh, the loss of one of your big creatures can be devastating. The same is true in Magic, where the loss of a larger creature can set you back quite a bit. In Battle Spirits, if you lose a couple creatures, you can maximize your chances by powering up the creatures you have left or creatures you draw by using your extra core. Battle Spirits players have a constant strategy decision of whether to play out more creatures or make the ones they have in play stronger. The top players will be the ones who can master when to spread out and when to power up. Since most of you may not have played the game yet this might be a little confusing. My recommendation to fix that is to try a game out. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. There are a number of advance events coming up soon that will let you try the game out BEFORE it hits the stores this August. Check out information on this site to find a store or convention near you and find out in advance what the excitement is about.
