Lens Flare (Requires Photoshop CS2/CS3)

If you've ever wanted to make a picture for your card look better well read this it puts a shining light in your picture.

 

Step 1

Open an image in photoshop.

Step 2

Up the top go to Filter -----> Render -----> Lens Flare

Step 3

After selecting "Lens Flare" a window should pop up.

Step 4

Select where you want the Flare. (It's better to do the flare on the image before making the card.)

Step 5

Select the Brightness of the flare. The higher it is the bigger the flare is. I'm going to use 115%.

Step 6

And finally select what type of Lens you want. I'm going with the first one, 50-300mm Zoom.There are different effects for each.

Step 7

Hit "Ok" and admire your work. Congratulations you've added a Lens Flare. ^-^.

PS: If you use the Lens flare on a whole card, like i did, you may find the effect leaking out of the frame.

Sorry kizzi i'm not really sure because i dont have GIMP. If you have an option that says Lens Flare then you should be able to but it might not be the same.
