ShadowKnight27
The World of Neo Parma; once a harsh, sterile and inhabitable planet is found orbiting a perfectly stable sun along with its bright, shining moon named Luna. The relatively quick advances in biotechnology allowed the growth of general fauna, and thus turning a seemingly hopeless abyss into a natural oasis for civilization. Although Neo Parma is an earth-sized planet approximately, many areas remain unexplored. Mostly because of the natural threads known as "Biomonsters", hostile and savage creatures that are carnivorous, lurk almost everywhere, and amazingly adapt to any new surroundings they are placed into. Perhaps, the most known and prized organization in Neo Parma is the "Hunter's Guild", where highly trained "Hunters" as they call themselves, help out by doing numerous deeds which are beneficial in nature, such as exploring new areas for possible colonization, investigate ancient ruins, exterminate Biomonsters, and the list could interminably go on. It's now quite a strange occurrence for a city to not have a Hunter's Guild, since it has now expanded to a point of global knowledge. The World of Daemos; a mysterious planet with an irreparable hazardous nature, is mainly used for Power Plants, Control Systems and Laboratories that were distributed all over ever since its colonization. Daemos' glowing green acidic substances that conveniently flow out of deep underground as geysers or rivers serve as the primal energy source used for all the facilities constructed, but they're also used for rapid combustion and elimination of unused matter. Yet smaller in size than Neo Parma, but bigger than Luna, Daemos' usefulness hasn't got any possible comparison. Novak City is perhaps the most important place in this vast, lethal wasteland, as it's home of many important Power Plants, the irreplaceable Hazard Control Tower, and most importantly, the Biosystems Laboratory. Technology isn't what it seems, however. Absolutely everything in the universe of Oblivion Phantasy uses an ethereal, mystical power named Mana, which is found freely floating in the air until a nearby catalyzer absorbs the Mana around it, immediately making it have a predetermined usage, and later vanishes into nothing after being used. Examples about how Mana works might be explained on how a Black Mage is able to cast a Dark Spell, using the nearby Mana as catalyzer to form the pitch-black wave in a matter of seconds. Even a simple Teleporter uses this forced system, constantly using Mana around it to maintain itself operative. The quantity of mana that Neo Parma, Daemos, and even possibly Luna contains is certainly unknown, and has ever since been classified as an unlimted resourse. The Land of Darmastia; one of the five known continents on Neo Parma, is the starting point of our grand tale that is yet about to start. Our fellow Hunters, who work in the all-famous Hunter's Guild named "Espada Tracendente" in Nazca City had recieved a Request of extreme urgency. They have been toguether ever since their arrival at Espada Tracendente, as the Hunter's Guild training method consisted in assigning groups in order to promote teamwork between them. They are told that Novak City in Daemos had just been overrun with a horde of brutal Biomonsters and after all citizens were successfully evacuated, the whole city had been quarentined and no one is allowed to enter Novak City until the grotesque monstruosities are gone. With the fact Biomosters avoid at all costs populated areas, the imposing Biosystems Lab seemed very suspicous, thought failure for it was a clear impossibility, since the perfection of its system has avoided errors for its 200 years of costant functionality. Still, the probability is making everybody uneasy. With their very first Request handed to them, our heroes venture into the phantom city, after taking an Hyperdrive Teleporter to Daemos.

Hello, fellow Roleplayers. I am ShadowKnight27, but you can call me Shadow27, and I humbly bring you a revolutionary Roleplay, named a Statistical Roleplay. This kind of Roleplay is specifically designed to mimick the thrill and fun experience of being in a Turn-Based RPG, with the addition of optional dialogue and descriptions. The current system I'm using is like Final Fantasy Tactics, and it turns out to be fully customizable, with no to little limitations. Now, unlike any other RP, you must be adept at both writing and mathematics in order to calculate the Damage done to your Character, or how much Damage he/she inflicts on a offensive move. It's currently IMPOSSIBLE to Godmod or Powerplay in Statistical Roleplays. Why? I think you will soon find out. I also intend this RP to be for more advanced Roleplayers, however, everyone is open to making a Profile (That's the correct term for Statistical Roleplays) and it's highly recommended for all partakers to post at least once a day if you don't want to get your respective turns skipped. Without further adieu, I'll announce that I'm currently accepting Character Profiles. But first, let's take a glimpse of the basic information needed to start.

1. All YCM (Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Maker) Rules apply. 2. The GM's (Game Master: Me) Word is Law. 3. Absolutely ALL Profiles must be done in PM, in order to not clutter this Thread. Instead, you will save a copy of your Profile wherever you like, and each time your Character's Profile must change (Level Up, Experience Gain, New Techniques or Skills, etcetera), you will Edit it accordingly and send it to me through PM. Everyone's Profiles will be recorded in here, along with additional yet useful information.

Profession: This can be whatever you like for your Character to be. Examples of Professions are Warrior, Fighter, Knight, Dragoon, Black Mage, White Mage, Red Mage, Blue Mage, Arcane Mage, Summoner, Numan, CAST, Space Marine, Fussilier, and the list could interminably go on. This determines your Special Attacks (Techniques and Skills), Equipment and Stats. Weapon: Start off with a basic, yet weak Weapon according to what your Character's Profession is. (Knight: Rusty Sword; Black Mage: Cracked Staff) Armor: Start off with a basic, yet weak Armor according to what your Character's Profession is. (Knight: Worn Armor; Black Mage: Holey Robes) Accessory: Name it anything you would like, and choose what Stat Boost you will get from it. The avaliable Stat Boosts are +5 HP, +5 TP, +1 ATK, +1 DEF, +1 INT or +1 SPR. A-Ability: Action Ability. This is the summary of the definition of all your Character's Special Attacks. A Knight will be able to use Force Stab, Swift Slash, etcetera, and so his/her A-Ability will be Sharp Skills or something along those lines. Feel free to be creative. + This is your first Special Attack, and is dependent on which Profession your Character is. I need the following fields complete in order for a Special Attack, either be a Skill or Technique, to be complete. "+ Name: Short Description (Optional). Damage% (Up to 120%) Stat (ATK or INT). Effect (Optional). Range; Element. TP/Use." - Name: First of all, just make up a name for your Special Attack. - Short Description: You can add a flavour text if you like. - Damage%: How much Damage the Special Attack does. Keep it up to 120%. - Stat: Either being ATK or INT. Keep in mind that an ATK-Based Special Attack becomes an Skill, and an INT-Based Special Attack becomes a Technique. - Effect: You can add an iditional effect to your Special Attack if you like (Poison, Paralyze, etc.) - Range: The distance (In Cells) of your Special Attack. - Element: The Element of your Special Attack. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Thunder, Ice, Dark, Holy or Neutral. - TP/Use: How much TP the Technique will cost, or how many times the Skill can be used. This will get determined by me. Remember, if your Special Attack is powerful, expect a higher TP Cost, or a lesser Use. + Name: Short Description (Optional). Damage% (Up to 120%) Stat (ATK or INT). Effect (Optional). Range; Element. TP/Use. A-Ability: A second Action Ability is placed in here. Right now, it's set to "Item" as a default, but when you reach a certain Level, you will be offered a Job Promotion, and thus this field will be used for your next set of Special Attacks. R-Ability: Reaction Ability. This is an Ability which activates in response to a certain action. You can't have one for now. S-Ability: Support Ability. This is an Ability that is either Active or Passive. An Active S-Ability is always taking effect, and a Passive S-Ability will need to be activated at the user's on will. Passive S-Abilities can only be activated ONCE per Battle. X-Ability: X Ability. This is an exceptionally powerful and destructive ability, mainly because it has the power to pierce the enemy’s DEF and SPR. An X-Ability will be able to inflict an immediate Instant Death Status to a non-Boss Character with less than 50% HP. Give your X-Ability a Name and an Element (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Thunder, Ice, Dark, Holy or Neutral). The Formula of calculating Damage through an X-Ability is the following: Base ATK/INT x2 (x1 if it has a Range of "All Cells") = Total Damage. An X-Ability can only be used ONCE per Battle, and will deduct the general Experience Gain slightly. An X-Ability field should look like: "X-Ability: Name: Short Description (Optional). 200% (100% if Range is "All Cells") Piercing ATK/INT Damage. Range: 5 Cells; Element." Stats: Stats are all determined by the GM (Me), so you shouldn't worry about them. HP: Hit Points TP: Technique Points ATK: Attack Points DEF: Defense Points INT: Intelligence (Magic Attack) Points SPR: Spirit (Magic Defense) Points MVT: Movement Points Skill Points: These are a vital adition to this Statistical Roleplay. Ability Points are awarded at the end of a Battle to every Character, and are used specifically to purchase Abilities. A-Abilities cost 1 SP, S-Abilities cost 2 SP and R-Abilities cost 3 SP. Ability Points can also be used to "Upgrade" existing Special Attacks without altering its predetermined TP/Use.

[spoiler="VI. ShadowKnight27
As the Space Marines open the steel-alloyed quarantine door, which makes a loud metallic echo, the Hunters venture in the vastness of a phantom city. A faint green haze was permeating on ground-level of Novak City, without making the monochrome-clouded sky overshadowed by the toxic fog. Glowing green acidic substances were spilling from the underground canals, making the air stink with the odor of corroded materials. Swift, unrecognizable shadows were seen moving on far end, where the city really started, the buildings were crushed to a point of complete deterioration, like purposely struck by those so-called Biomonsters. Taiga, Merin and Abrahel went forward the passageway, four huge Toxic Ventilation Pipes protruding from the cold floor, emanating a harsh acidic smell. Just halfway through, with quick and unpredictable movements, they were ambushed by...things. Starting, we will ged rid of these monstrosities called Xanafalgues with this Battle System, which isn't only easy, but makes a Statistical Roleplay a fun experience. As you now see, each Enemy Character (Xanafalgue, Flesh and Tentacle) is on the Battlefield. But where exactly? The Battle field uses both Rows and Collumns, making it possible assemble each Cell as coordinates. Flesh, for example, is located on Cell E2. Now, each Battle will give the Party a choice of Starting Cells. The Starting Cells for the Tutorial are D4, D5, D6, E4, E5, E6, F4, F5 and F6. The correct method of placing your Character in a Cell should be:
[Character] starts at [Cell].
Now, onwards on choosing a Starting Cell! Be sure to write a nice block of text below to not upset the Roleplay Moderators.
Princess Judai
[Abrahel] starts at [F5]. Abrahel yawned as she floated down the hallway with her annoying mortal companions."Are we there yet?" She groggily asked for the 574th time.Just then, she heard something crawling up ahead."Hey guys...I don't think we're alone down here...Umm...what should we do? I may be a Demon, but I'm not fully cut out for combat yet!"

Besides that, he outfit was testinng the limmits of his training.Ninjas most be emotionless, silent, calm and deliberate, he reminded himself yet again. It wasn't working. encapturer
[Merin] starts at [F4] "I'm all up for some conversation, but..." Merin, who was replying to her demon ally in a flat voice, was interrupted when the group first heard the monstrous screams. She raised her hands and entered her battle stance, left foot first. "We can take these. Just be careful," Merin said as she took a step forward to protect Abrahel's flank. Haha, wonder if I can try one of my new techniques, Merin thought to herself, as she stared down the nearest creature, ready to strike.

Now, each Turn is composed by five Phases in total. Player Phase, Boss Phase, Enemy Phase, Neutral Phase and Calculation Phase are done in this especific order... And then the cycle continues indeterminably until the Battle ends. Player Phase: Where the Party (Player Characters) take action. Boss Phase: Where a Boss Character takes action. Enemy Phase: Where the Enemy Characters take action. Neutral Phase: Where the Neutral Characters take action. Calculation Phase: Where the affliction of Status Conditions are written in here, and the counting of the respective turns that are left for them to fade. Matters such as increment of Stats of a Character take effect in here, as well. Now, for the actual Battle System... Each action your Character takes is Called a Command. There are four different kinds of Commands: Move Commands, Act Commands, Wait Commands and Trigger Commands. Move Commands: Moving is just plainly placing your Character in a different Cell, according to his/her MVT Stat. This is represented by... [Character] moves to [Cell]' date=' then [Cell'], etcetera... A Character can only move a number of Cells up to the number displayed on their MVT Stat. Remember to list all the Cells your Character has moved to, for it is very vital. If Taiga wants to move to an imaginary cell X3 (Treating as if he was on X1), then it would be represented by... Taiga moves to X2' date=' then X3.[/quote'] You CAN move through Characters (Player, Enemy, Neutral and Boss) and Items (Item, Bag and Treasure Chest), in the only condition you don't land in the same Cell they are occupying. Also, moving Diagonally is counted as if your Character has moved 2 Cells, but it is treated quite differently. We'll see more about this later. Act Commands: There are three kinds of Act Commands, and you can only use ONE per Act Command you make... - Basic Attack: Using a Basic Attack automatically inflicts 100% ATK Damage and have a Range of "Adjacent Cell". Basic Attacking is represented by... [Character] attacks [Target Name OR Cell]![Target Name] takes [Damage]. Note that I'll take care of DEF and SPR substractions' date=' so you should only write the current ATK of your Character in the [Damage'] field. - Ability: Using an A-Ability, S-Ability or X-Ability. An A-Ability has various Damage ratings and Ranges dependin on which Special Attack (Skill or Technique) is used. However, they do consume TP for Techniques or have a limited Usage for Skills which must be keep track of. A-Abilities are represented by... [Character] casts [Technique Name] on [Target Name OR Cell]!TP:[Current TP]/[Maximum TP][Target Name] takes [Damage]. [Additional Effects]. [Character] uses [skill Name] on [Target Name OR Cell]![skill Name] has [Current] Use Counters left.[Target Name] takes [Damage]. [Additional Effects]. For the Damage%' date=' you should open the Calculator (Start, Execute: Calc) and type your Character's ATK (Skills) or INT (Techniques) and multiply them. If your Character has 3 ATK (Or INT), and a Skill (Technique) has 120% ATK/INT Damage, then multiply 3 x 1.2 and the result (3.6) is rounded UP. That is the actual Damage done. I'll substract DEF and SPR accordingly on my own, so don't worry about it for now. For the Range, Diagonals count as 2 Cells, as ever.S-Abilities that are Active should be managed by the Characters themselves, but Passive ones that must be activated are represented by... [Character] activates S-Ability: "[Ability Name]"! [Effect] Finally, for X-Abilities, remember they can only be used ONCE and deduct the general EXP Gain. They should only be used in desperate or critical moments, and their activation is represented by... [Character] unleashes X-Ability: "[Ability Name]" on [Target Name OR Cell]! [Damage] [Element]' date=' Piercing![/quote'] - Item: A Character can use Items if they need to. Right now, you don't have Inventory (Because it is the Tutorial), but on the next Battle you will given one. ALL Items have a Range of "Adjacent Cell" unless specified. Their usage is represented by... [Character] uses [item Name] on [Target Name OR Cell].[Effect]. Wait Commands: If there's nothing better to do' date=' just make your Character wait. f there is nothing better to do, just wait. You attack and don't feel like moving? Wait. You move but don't feel like attacking? Wait. Don't feel like doing anything? Wait. It is represented simply by... [Character] waits... So, basically, for each of your Turns you can make the following combinations. - Move, then Act. - Move, then Wait. - Act, then Move. - Act, then Wait. - Wait. Pretty simple, isn't it? But wait, we've got another Command which is quite special and deserves the final place for explaination on how they work. Trigger Commands: Trigger Commands replace your default "Act" Command, and are one of the vital aditions to Oblivion Phantasy... Basically, they mean of your Character interacting another Cell, such as pulling a switch, blowing a candle, even talking to a Neutral Character, etcetera. Trigger Commands have all a Range of Adjacent Cell, unless specified. Here are some examples and the adequate representation to them... [Character] uses Trigger Command: Press the Button!Afflicted Cell is [Cell]. [Character] uses Trigger Command: Inspect the Bag!Afflicted Cell is [Cell]. [Character] uses Trigger Command: Talk to [Neutral Name]! Now that I have finally finished this impressive wall of text, go on ahead and defeat those Xanafalgues. Why not Move and Basic Attack for starters? Unless you want to try out some of your A-Abilities... Remember to check the first post for the Enemy Profiles, for it is kind of an strategy guide for this Roleplay.

zaneko
((no prob! By the way, Explosive Tag uses INT, not ATK, that's why it's 5 and not 4.)) Taiga eyed the retreating Tentacle lazily."Losing cool now that your partners-in-crime are all gone now, are you?" he commented. "Pitiful."He purposefully moved into position to launch an attack. Taiga moves to C6 then D6.Taiga cast Explosive Tag on Tentacle[E8]!TP: 13/25Tentacle takes 5 Fire Damage! Xanafalgue is afflicted with a burn! Moving with slow deliberation, he drew another tag, made the required hand sign and tossed it at the mutant. "Secret Art: Explosive Tag!"It exploded on contant, bathing the area with faint light. Taiga smiled slightly. "Boom!" he whispered.
encapturer
((I knew I forgot something! I knew basic attacks have 1 range, but as you can see... I RP'd movement, but forgot to actually *move* X.x)) Merin takes 3 DamageHP: 23/30 Merin moves to E2.Merin picks up Item. It seemed like Merin was hallucinating; whatever those mutant tentacles did, it caused her to whiff the air before it ran off into the corner. Merin could not catch up in time, and she would just leaving herself open. "I'm sorry, but I think I was dazed for a moment there." Merin said sheepishly before stepping to the side to pick up a scroll that fell to the ground. That monster dropped a scroll? Where did it get it from? Merin grit her teeth; she wanted to fight too, but she had a feeling that the others would want to leave this place as soon as possible once the fighting was over. Princess Judai
Abrahel takes 4 Damage! At this point, Abrahel was pissed, so she decided to help finish this monster once and for all. Abrahel moves to E5, then to E6.Abrahel used Seduce!TP: 1/15 Seduce Song: Abrahel suddenly materialized a bottle of something called "Jack Daniels", downed the contents in one chug, then started to somewhat drunkenly sing as synthesized music started to blare from nowhere. A few of her ethereal backup singers came back, and tried to move in sync with Abrahel's Jack Sparrow-esque movements. The Tentacle immediately caught attantion, paralyzing it. ShadowKnight27
OoC: Yeah, sorry, I got wrong that one too. As you see, I'm new at this of Game Master'ing, but I thoguh I would make more errors. This is a good sign! Princess Judai, you need to subtract DEF! You wouldn't want Abrahel take more Damage than she should, right? Chapter I ~ I: Tutorial Location: Daemos - Novak City, Entrace Objective: Defeat all Enemy Characters! Merin stays at E3.Merin picks up Skill Scroll "Tentacle Spear"!Added to the Inventory. Skill Scrolls AND Technique Scrolls are particularly special Items that fall on the "Common Items" Category, and are ONLY obtained when an Enemy Character or Neutral Character is Perfect Kill'd (HP reaches exactly 0). You can have a maximum of 3 Skill or Technique Scrolls, but let's explain what are they for first. They are practically the representation of the Special Attacks the Perfect Kill'd Enemy (Or Neutral) had. There's only one kind of Skill/Technique Scroll per monster which haves a predetermined Special Attack, so that means you can't try and get Skill/Technique Scrolls of all the Special Attacks an Enemy (Or Neutral) has. Though they are never lost, the Party can use only ONE Skill/Technique Scroll per battle, and its effects and limitations are the same of the Special Attack the Enemy (Or Neutral) had. Hope that clarified everything. Acid Cells inflict 3 Piercing Damage each time a Player Character lands in them, so you'd better be careful. In addition, if you stay on an Acid Cell for a turn, you take 3 Piercing Damage. I'll take care about that in the Calculation Phase, so don't worry about writing the Damage done. Note that Enemy Character aren't affected by Acid Cells. encapturer
Merin moves to F3,F4, then F5.Merin Waits. "Be careful everyone!" The effects of the previous attack have completely worn off by now. "I'll draw the attack!" Merin yelled to the others as she ran up closer to the enemy. It was a habit Merin had to always try to take point against a tough enemy. It works well since she doesn't know any long range techniques, but her master thought otherwise. 'Diversify your skills; rushing in like that will get you killed', he always said. He suggested to leave that position to the tougher allies. Technically, Merin was still following that suggestion. She was the toughest one here, she reasoned. Ninjas are built more for dodging attacks, and mages are... well... mages. Once in position, she braced herself for the inevitable attack; fortunately, everyone should be able to dogpile this new foe.
