Mox was standing on the stoop of his blonde friend FJ, with both hands cupping his chin. He then looked forward and squinted his eyes as he saw someone coming. "It's probably Ashy Girl on time" Mox said to himself. As the girl got closer, it wasn't a redhead at all. It was a girl with purple highlights in her hair with a sexual aura about her. Mox widened his mouth a bit when he realized who it was. "Well if it ain't Lil Joey Loansly, coming to see Mox about the situation last night huh? I didn't feel like going" Mox said when the met face. She then raised her left eyebrow and shook her head. "Wait...what?" Jocelyn asked Mox to clear up again. Mox then began licking his lips "That's right Jojo, FJ told me what you really REALLY want". Jocelyn then laughed. "Sorry Mox, but I'm not into you. You sure FJ wasn't joking around when he 'told you everything'?" Jocelyn told him. Mox then facepalmed himself and then chuckled. "Ah man, number ten gonna get it later." Mox said looking at the sky.

 

"So what are you doing here Jocelyn? Usually it's just me and Ashley waiting on FJ" Mox told her. She simply shrugged "I just want to talk to him is all". Mox nodded, then his cell phone was ringing. He picked it up and greeted in typical Mox fashion "Yo. Mox here, sup!". "Hey Mox, it's Ashley, I'm going to be a little late to school so you and FJ go on ahead without me okay?" Ashley said. "Aight, later Ashy Girl" Mox said as he hung up his phone. FJ then came out from his house. He then paused at the situation he saw, Mox and Jocelyn together. FJ smirked loudly.

 

"Sorry about that Mox...I was joking" FJ stated to Mox about Jocelyn. Mox nodded repeatedly. "You gonna get it later Number Ten" Mox laughed as the high fived each other. "Hi FJ" Jocelyn waved at the blonde. "Hey, Jocelyn. What...are you...doing here?" He asked looking confused. "Just want to talk is all" She replied back to him. "Well, we gotta wait for As-" FJ was about to say before Mox cut him off. "No we don't dawg. Ashy Girl said she gonna be late, so we should hit up without her. I see that you guys are busy so, I'll see you at 5th period man." Mox explained the situation to FJ as he started walking away. He left Jocelyn and FJ there. The former staring at the latter, while the latter bit his teeth down, squinted, arched his right eyebrow and hurdle his shoulders up as he dug his hands into his pockets. "Okay...here we go!" FJ said.

Aric picked up Sarah, "C'mon we gotta hurry!"

"What's the matter?" Sarah asked.

"Nothing." Aric smiled, "Just tired." Aric drove off and got out of the car to go to class.

Sarah asked, "Do you wanna go to a Resturaunt later?"

"Witch one?"

"I don't know, you choose."

"Ok, i'll tell ya later." Aric walked to class, but before he made it he got a sharp feeling in his head, and saw the gunmen in his head, "Ahhh!" Aric fell to the ground, knocked out.

Jason woke up, and looked at the clock. 7:00! Damnit, I'm going to be late! Jason swung his legs out, and stood up. He ran to the shower, and took what was probably the fastest shower of his life. He looked in on his father, who was still sleeping. "Dad, school!" he yelled as he ran by. Jason went to the garage, and pulled out his bike. Not the best car, for sure, but at least it was fast. He hooked a leg over it, and pulled his helmet on. Starting the engine, he revved the accelerator. Then, releasing the clutch, he shot out of his garage.

Britney woke up in her car, knocked out in front of Tyra's house. "Uh oh gotta gota school....this is fine to wear o mean i dont look like a slut i look normal" . Britney said as she startd her car and she drove for school as she pulled out a toothbrush and some tequila and she began to brush her teeth. She began playing 'Tik Tok' by Ke$ha and she laughed at the 'brushing my teeth with a bottle of jack' part. "LOL im doing the same thing but with Tequila" . She said as she parked her car in the school parking lot.

IC: Aric was still on the ground, bleeding. His body was bruised, his head was bloodied, and he looked like crap.

 

Sarah was in class and her friend whispered, "So how's Aric?"

"None of your business."

"C'mon, please."

"Fine, he's great, but..." Sarah said.

"Oh no, what's wrong with this guy?"

"Nothing, he's just been really wierd like, he's seen a ghost."

"Creepy, oh well do you like him."

"I think, I think i'm falling for him."

"Oooh, he's that good."

"Is there something you would like to share with the class?" The teacher said.

"No." They both replied.

"Ok then, be quiet." The teacher commanded.

Jason peeled away from his house, and headed toward the school. The teachers are really gonna kill me if I'm any later. Oh, man. Why did I have to go out on a stupid joyride in the middle of the night? Further thoughts were cut short as Jason reached the school. He quickly parked his bike, pulled his permit out, and set it on the bike. Then he turned, and sprinted to his classroom. He entered the front door, and then up the stairs. He continued running until he reached his classroom, then paused, and calmed his heart. After it had slowed, he opened the door.

"Ok then, be quiet," he heard the teacher say, who then proceeded to turn and face Jason. "Well, Jason, we are honored that you will join us for class today. Please, take your seat." Jason blushed, but hastily sat down.

Britney stepped out her car and put her permit on the dashboard. She then walked into the school slowly and calmly as she pulled out one headphone from her right ear and left the left one in her ear. "Well this is going to be fun" . Britney said as she shuffle her ipod and 'Crushcrushcrush' by Paramore began playing. "This song is awesome" .She said as she entered her classroom with the teacher saying something to Jason. "Hey everybody im here" . Britney said as she took her seat and the teacher gave her a dirty look, so Britney put her ipod into her jacket pocket and she looked bored all ready.

IC: Sarah laughed, because Brittany stated her arrival.

"Have you seen Aric?" Sarah whispered to Jason. Sarah knew Aric would be late but not this late.

"Second time Sarah!" The teacer warned.

"Sorry, but Aric was supposed to be here."

"That isn't important, he's probably absent."

"No, he drove me here and I still see his car in the parking lot."

The teacher commanded, "Jason, can you go look for Aric."

Mox was sitting in his seat in the same class as Jason, as the girl that was late came through the door. "Man, I hope nothing serious happened to that Aric guy." Mox commented to the situation as he was drawing a quick sketch a guy that look liked him on a court passing the ball in a very slick manner. "I might try that later on FJ at the court" Mox smirked as he continued his processed thoughts of basketball.

 

In another classroom, FJ was in front of his class concluding a paper he had written a few days ago which was due for today. "So I just think of the quote from Atlas Shrugged. 'Do not let your fire go out, sparked by irreplaceable spark. And the hopeless swamps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish. And lonely frustration for the life you deserved but never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists. It is real. It is possible. And it is yours.' It's very personal and speaks out to me and that is why we should continue to live our lives despite the circumstances that we are in." FJ finished as he sat down, with the class applauding his paper. For a basketball athlete, FJ was pretty smart with literature. His flaw was pretty much anything in math. He smiled as he opened his book. The blonde then thought about what he and Jocelyn talked about on the way to school.

 

"So, are you and that Ashley girl a thing?" Jocelyn asked FJ. FJ laughed as he looked to the sky, followed by switching his view to her. "Nah...me and her are like brother and sister. We get on each others nerves, know each others secrets. You know, usual best friend stuff" FJ responded with a simple and elite quickness. Jocelyn then shrugged as the stopped at a sign. "So, why didn't you come yesterday....to Maddo Park?" She asked. "I told you why. I have things to do and need to have some rest if I tend to do those things" FJ said gripping his backpack a little more. Jocelyn then shook her head. "And those are..." She asked FJ. "....No need to worry about it..." was all she heard from him.

Jakk drove passed the school, but he saw someone familiar on the ground, bleeding. Jakk turned the car fast, and parked it. Jakk ran over to the person to see that his son was bleeding.

"Stay with me now!" Jakk yelled, "Someone help, help!" Jakk watched Aric lifeless.

 

Sarah heard the screams, "Guys, listen!" The yells were so loud the whole class heard them well, very well.

The teacher commanded, "Everyone, outside now!" The teacher opened the door, "Hurry, let's go we have to help!" The teacher held the door open for the students.

Jason, having just sat down, stood right up again. He noticed, with a small flush of embarrassment, that Kira was also in his class. He rushed out of the classroom, and followed his classmates down the hall. I hope whoever it is that's screaming is going to be okay. They soiund like they're in a lot of pain. Jason kept running, then came to a sudden stop. It was Aric, laying on the ground and writhing. Feeling tears spring up, Jason dropped to his knees by his friend. He turned, and said to the man he assumed to be Aric's father. "W-what can I do to help?" As he was saying this, Jason pulled out his cell phone, and dialed 911. They picked up, and Jason told them all he knew about what was happening.

Jakk yelled, "Aric, Aric c'mon wake up."

Sarah got on her knees, crying she said, "A-aric, p-please wake up."

Aric coughed up blood, "Whats going on?" Aric mumbled.

"We don't know." Sarah spoke, "You're gonna be alright though." The sound of an ambulence came closer. They parked fast and got Aric on a stretcher, "You're gonna be alright." One of the doctors assured him. The ambulence sped away.

Jason watched the ambulance speed away. "No way am I leaving my best friend..." Jason ran off, his teacher shouting at him. Jason ran out, and over to his bike. He pulled out his key, and stuck it in the ignition. The motorcycle revved loudly, and as Jason's teacher came up yelling, Jason revved the engine louder, and sped off. While on the road, looking for the ambulance, Jason pondered. Whatever is happening to my friend, I will not leave him alone. I will stay by his side...to the very end if I must.

Sarah still crying went back to class.

"Everyone back inside!" The Teacher commanded. Everyone piled up into the classroom.

 

Jakk got in his car and drove off, back to the gym.

Jakk said to himself, "I have to earn money, I can't sit at a hospital all day."

 

Aric saw a hospital ceiling, but his sight was a blur. Aric slowly closed his eyes, and he could here voices saying, "You're alright, don't worry." Aric closed his eyes and blacked out.

Mox was walking in the hallway stalling to get back to class. While he was there, he bumped into Ashley. "Mox, what the in the world was that outside?" she said running up to him. "I don't know what, but something happened to that Aric kid" Mox answered. Ashley nodded "I hope he's okay". "It looked real serious if ya ask me" Mox gestured with his head down and his hands deep in his pockets. "Aren't you suppose to go back to class?" Ashley figured out. "Ain't you some kind of late to whatever you got right now" Mox come back snappy. Ashley rose her hand up in surrender. "Okay fine, I didn't want to go to class for this period is all" She admitted. Mox then hugged her from the side. "Yeah, I feel ya. Class is real boring up in mine. I don't feel like going back right now. Wanna go chill at the gate?" Mox raised his eyebrow and asked. The redhead simply shrugged in agreement as the left the school and hung out in the front until next period.

Britney walked into the classroom with a blank expression on her face. She couldn't beleive that the boy that she hardly knew, the boy that had tryed to be her friend, was now in a hospital room alll alone with none of his friends to be their for him. If he had tryed to be their for her , Britney would try to repay the favor. "I know what im gunna do, im gunna fo to the hospital after school, and im gunna swing by and see if that boys alright....whats his name....oh Aric right thats his name". Britney thought to herself as she texted Tyra about what happened.

Jason walked into the hospital. Phew, that ambulance drove fast. If any cops had seen me, I would have been arrested for sure. Jason walked up to the lady at the counter. "Excuse me, but I'm looking for a friend of mine, Aric Cross." The lady looked up, then told Jason where his friend was. Jason nodded, muttered "thanks", and headed to the elevator. While he was waiting for the elevator to arrive at Aric's floor, Jason wondered how much trouble he was going to be in with the teachers. Oh well. They can just f*ck off for all I care. I need to see how Aric is doing.

Aric woke up, and all he could see is a room, with medical supplies.

Aric said to himself, "Where am I?" He looked and saw a hose coming out from his nose. Aric was so confused, he doesn't know where he is and why. Aric tryed to sit up, but the pain kept him down. He noticed he was slightly dizzy, from falling on his head. Aric tried to fall asleep, but all he saw were those gunman shooting a man and then warning him to not tell anyone. Aric was horrified, the worst thing, he doesn't remember when that happened.

Jason walked down the hall, checking each door tag for Aric's name. Man, there are a lot of people in the hospital these days. Jason shuddered. For some unknown reason, hospitals always gave him the creeps. And he could never explain why they made him feel like that.

 

Ah, there it is. Jason stopped, and pushed on the handle to Aric's room. Walking in, a strange, sterile smell hit Jason's nose. Scrunching his face up, Jason waved a hand to try and waft the smell away. Stopping, he saw Aric lying on a hospital bed, hooked up and everything.

 

"Hey, Aric...how are ya, dude?"

Arics head was wrapped in a bandage, it had dry blood all over it. And when he heard Jason all he could do was look confused, "I'm fine." Aric looked around again, and then looked right back at Jason, "Who, who are you?" Aric continued with the confusion, "How did I get here?" Aric kept on, "What happened, what made me end up in a hospital, and make me feel, so horrible?" Aric had no idea who Jason was, for the moment, he had no short term memory.

Jason walked up to Aric. Seeing his friend frantically look around, he laid a hand on his shoulder to try and calm him. Doesn't know me? He can't have memory loss. Jason decided he would try to see if his friend could remember him, or he was really having problems.

"Hey, come on. You remember me, don't you, Aric? I'm one of your best friends, Jason Clawborne. I'm on the football team and the basketball team. The coach is always yelling at me 'cause I miss one practice for the other. We talk girls together. Ring a bell at all?"

Aric looked at him, "Sorry doesn't ring a bell." Aric smiled, "I only hated it when you got all the attention from the girls!" Aric laughed, "But seriously, what happened?" Aric clarified, "How did I end up in a hospital?" Aric sat up, "Ouch!" Aric moaned as he sat up, "Wow I must have gotten eaten by some guy." Aric laughed, "I actually need to know, what happened, and remember don't joke around."

Jason became serious as his friend did. Although he didn't know exactly what happened to his friend, he was sure that he could tell enough details to satisfy him. But what if it happens again? If I can't learn what's causing him such pain, then what kind of friend am I? Shaking his head, Jason spoke.

"I...I don't know exactly what happened to you. I only know this. I got to school late, and when I got to my classroom, everyone heard this horrible screaming. We all ran to see what it was, and we saw you lying on the floor, writhing in pain. I called an ambulance, and followed you here, while everyone else went back to class. So I have you to blame for my truancy, got it?" Jason added that last part in the hopes of cheering his friend up.

"Hahaha, ok, that's why I feel so horrible for your truancy." Aric joked.

Aric put his legs to the side of the bed and got up.

"Ouch, that hurts!"

A doctor walked in.

"Ummm...you have to stay there, until you feel better."

"But I feel great."

"Ok if you say so."

Aric got on his sweater and walked out of the room.

"Let's go." I told Jason.
