cerberus21
Alright, I'm going to try to do this while keeping my man-card... Love has always been a main topic in music, regardless of your genre. Buddy Holly sang about his girl, Elvis breathed sappiness into a ton of his songs, even rappers talk about their "hoes" from time to time. It's still a theme in some of the songs by bands of today. I'm trying to think of some love songs that don't suck, that you would listen to while you're hanging out with your girlfriend and your dude friends. So far I've come up with: Dear God- Avenged SevenfoldI Miss You- Blink 182The Rock Show- Blink 182Calling You- Blue OctoberGlycerine- BushI Will Buy You a New Life- EverclearSanta Monica- EverclearTime of Your Life- Green DayWhatsername- Green DayWhen You Were Young- The KillersMolly's Lips- NirvanaHeart-Shaped Box- NirvanaKristy, Are You Doing Okay?- The OffspringWant You Bad- The OffspringBy The Way- The Red Hot Chili PeppersDon't Wake Me- SkilletBelieve- SkilletForgiven- SkilletLucy- SkilletWith Me- Sum 41Semi-Charmed Life- Third Eye BlindLost In You- Three Days GraceO Girlfriend- WeezerPut Me Back Together- WeezerTrippin' Down the Freeway- Weezer Those are just the ones my girlfriend has the playlist she made on my iPod. Anyone else have any?

Tabris
Fantastic. Pequodders too macho fer some love, ain't ye? Real men (i. e. The Will, which happens to be me, Tabris) affirm the existence of their feminine side and seek a balance between both. But anyhow, possibly politically incorrect aside aside, here are mine (keep in mind that your girlfriend would see fit to break up with ye the minute she hears this): That much. CinnamonStar
Well, considering the type of music you listen to, I'd say try this:Opeth - HarvestOpeth - Face of MelindaOpeth - Isolation Years Dream Theater - One Last TimeThe Crüxshadows - A Promise Made Lacrimosa or L'Âme Immortelle are good for tragic love songs but CAREFUL, sometimes they pull the tragicness a bit too much.>_> I'd keep it for when you break up one day...well hope you don't.Non-sad song by Lacrimosa: <--well the title of Koishi Komeiji, the character the song is about, is "the closed eyes of love" and from how I know Aki Misawa, it's probably about love <3 Hope it helped.^^
The Dark One
But what is masculinity, anyway? I don't have any compunctions about listening to the soppier stuff by Jack Johnson, Terra Naomi, etc. with friends around. I don't think it's particularly effeminate. Oh, and any "heartbreak song" is pretty much automatically ok to listen to. I don't think that really counts. Eg. Snuff, by Slipknot.
