Yeah, I bet ya the majority of you were ready to hit the report button.

The fact that it's Batman and based off a TV show spells a recipe for disaster.

The fact that it's Batman and is being developed by the guys behind Shantae (I remember TDI Owen making a thread on this), Contra 4, and A Boy and His Blob (the Wii remake, not the NES version) makes this actually have a fighting chance.

Maybe it's simply because unlike probably 99% of the forum-goers here, I actually like this show. Either way, I hope it actually turns out to be good (although I'm not getting my hopes up). :D

I'm surprised that more than 2 people (myself included) like the show here.

Also, 'nother tidbit: By connecting the DS version of the game to the Wii version, you can play as Bat-Mite on the Wii using the DS (perhaps WayForward took a page out of Guitar Hero 5's book?).

That reminds me of LoZ:WW where you could connect your gameboy to your GC and someone could play as that little green guy which name currently escapes me.

I'm not a fan of the show. After TDK and Arkham Asylum' date=' anything Batman related not set in a dark tone doesn't interest me.[/b'] Chances are the game will fail.

And that's what bothers me (well, your instance not so much). When people think that the only version of Batman that should exist and is correct is the dark and edgy one. Apparently, nowadays, unless Batman has roid rage or throat cancer, he's garbage. What happened to the Batman that kids could look up to?

Everything I said just now is technically off-topic, since this is discussion about the game and not the show, but w/e.

Anyways, like I said before, I'm not expecting this game to be good, since it's got the curse of being a game based off a TV show.

Its not that Batman needs to be ultra dark but it just kills the appeal of the character when he's all campy like the 1960's show and the god awful Joel Shoemaker movies.

I know this is off topic but yeah...

>_> And yet I'm continuing. Go figure.

I love the campy '60s. As for Shumacher, depends on the film. Forever was meh. B&R was HORRENDOUS.

As for the appeal of Batman:

Batman's rich history allows him to be interpreted in a multitude of ways. To be sure' date=' this is a lighter incarnation, but is certainly no less valid and true to the character's roots as the tortured avenger, crying out for mommy and daddy.[/quote']

While the fact that it's based off of a TV show does mean it has a certain chance of failing horrendously. You guys have to remember that any Batman video game was automatically classed as fail until Batman: AA came. That being said, seeing as it isn't all dark and doesn't feature Poison Ivy in her leaf panties it probably won't sell well. :S

Batman is a badass modern Zoro. It's the reason most people prefer the darker personality due to a higher chance of having a mature plot.

Anyway first time I here about the show' date=' I really don't give a f*** how the game turns out to be.

Well, it's not so much about people preferring the dark and mature Batman that gets me as it is people spitting on the campy Batman and acting as if he shouldn't exist.
