Yugioh GX - Duel Academy (Still Accepting) (Advanced, PG-16)(Started)

"Scrap-Iron Barrier! Junk Destroyer's safe from your card effects for this round," Isumi yelled, once again activating her trap before it was removed from the field.

 

I lost Mirror Force though. I just hope he doesn't swarm against me this turn.

 

It was therefore perhaps inevitable that Isumi found herself facing five monsters, and with Junk Destroyer's attack points at 0, it was about as much use as if it had been destroyed anyway. "How?" she asked weekly, before all five of Azreal's monsters attacked, smashing Junk Destroyer aside like it was nothing and slamming into her life points (LP:0)

 

Isumi collapsed onto all fours, breathing heavily. How...did he just do that? she wondered. A one turn kill - no, 2, on consecutive turns. Why is it that the crazy ones are so good?

Luc stepped into his dorm room and took off his duel disk. "Whew, that was a tough match. Wonder why Zack didn't end up in Ra Yellow." He thought aloud as he sat on his bed. "I didn't expect to run into someone else with a duel spirit." He thought, remembering seeing Lumina. He shrugged it off, the world was full of surprises. "Oh well, time to get some rest." he thought as he dozed off.

Zack entered his dorm a minute later. "Man that was one of my best duels yet. I wonder how I didn't end up in Ra Yellow."

Zack took off his duel disk as he thought of how it could have went if he got Prototrap - Monarch on the field. Now that would have been a great to see a big shock on Luc's face if he got it on the field. Zack sat on his bed.

I bet you Luc is 1 of the best duelist's on the island.

After that thought he decided to go to sleep.

((Sorry I've been gone for the weekend with little chance to post.))

Zeraius watched as both duels came to a close.

That Isumi is one to keep an eye on. She's got the dueling skills to be in Ra Yellow easily, probably even Obelisk... She mentioned something about being a bad test-taker though, must be why she was placed in Slifer.

"What a duel." Zeraius said as he walked over to Isumi.

"You were very good, I thought you had him." He said sincerely.

"We should duel sometime, it'd be fun. You'll probably be one of the most challenging duelists on the island." Zeraius said with a half-smile. He turned to pose the same offer to Luc and Zack, but before he could they had left to their dorms.

"That girls is someone that we need to care about Dark Necrofear" Azrael said while Isumi talks to Zeraius.

She's not the only one, all the boys we meet today are amazing duelist, but... there are 2 special Duelist here, that boy of the Blue-Eyes and this one that is talking to the girl, both of them can see Spirits and have one too. Dark Necrofear said...

 

"Well!" Azraels said aloud "This was an amazing good duel Mademoiselle" If you only know that are the first person that last more than 2 of my turns... "in other hand I should leave now, Monsieur Chronos is waiting for me. See you Mademoiselle Isumi and Monsieur Zeraius" Azrael said while leaving in diretion of the academy.

Leon exited his dorm room with both bass and duel disk strapped on his back. He saw 2 other students outside and another one walking towards the school. he walked over to the pair and asked"did I miss something?"

Isumi glanced up at the guys as they spoke to her, and she pulled herself to her feet. Azreal was already leaving, so she decided to forget about him for the moment. "I thought I had him as well," she replied to Zeriaus, "but I should have known I wouldn't."

 

I'll get better though. Maybe next time I won't lose in a single turn, she though.

 

Another boy came out of the Slifer dorms, this one carrying a guitar as well as a duel disk, and came over to them. Isumi recognised him - his name was Leon Pheonix, and he was another ridiculously good duelist that seemed to talk to himself. Leon seemed to be under the impression that something had just happened.

 

"Not much, just me getting stomped by the new teacher," Isumi sighed.

"He was very good. He has more than one deck too, I wonder what the other one is like..." Zeraius said as he remembered seeing Dark Necrofear and imagined the kind of decks that card would fit into.

"I wonder how I would stack up against that guy..." Zeraius said as he trailed off into thought and scenarios. Zeraius noticed Leon coming over and remembered him from the freshman last year. He was rejected for the entrance exams, and ended up challening Zeraius. The duel went on for a while, Zeraius ended up winning in the end, but he was forced to bring out his best card. Something no duelist in Duel Academy had ever done before. After the duel with Zeraius, the Chancellor reconsidered and allowed Leon to enter Duel Academy.

"How goes it Leon?" Zeraius asked him as he came over.

Azrael arrived to the Duel Academy and started searching for Chancellor Chronos...

"Monsieur Chronos" he said when he found Chronos, "We need to talk Chronos".

 

"Senior Valiant, you have arrived, I'm glad to see you." Chronos said "What do you want to discuss Senior Valiant?" Chronos have been the Chancellor since Shepard left the academy after Jaiden Graduation.

 

"It's time that you learn my indications Monsieur Chronos" Azrael said while Chronos stared looking at him like sared. "I put my own rules Chronos so don't botter me, my class will be as I want, and, as you might now, I'm the owner of Fantasy Corp, so I want to change the Duel Arena to make it more efficent for a Duel..." Azrael said to Chronos. He tell all his ideas to Chronos, he wanted to change the Duel Arena to make the Duels more physical aqnd he wanted to add a Virtual World to the academy.

 

"So if that are all your petitions, I think I should agree Senior Valiant" Chronos said "But that's just 1 thing that you need to be, and that's the head teacher of a dorm, so which you choice, unlees of course, you want me to choose it for you"

 

When Azrael listen that he remembered the boys he has just met and the young Isumi, This is interesting just one dorm, which one I'll choice, that little girl should be at the Slifer's but... the other guys with the spirits, they're at the Obelisk's... which should I choose?

 

"So there's no answer Senior Valiant? Should I choose for you?" "No wait, I've decided, I'll be the head teacher of the Obelisk's Blue..." Azrael said while leaving the Chancellor Office...

(so Shepard's gone in this RP? Well, Crowler's still around, but what about Prof. Sartyr, Miss Fontaine, Dorothy, and Sadie? They still around?)

Luc had finished his nap and was now in deep thought. " Well, here I am, a second year. I'm going to have to be more serious this year if I want to compare with Duel Academy's past top students." he thought. "Tyranno Hasselberry, Bastion Misawa, Alexis and Atticus Rhodes, Chazz Princeton, Zane and Syrus Trusedale. Those names are going to be hard to compare to. But possibly the toughest name to compare to will be Jaden Yuki. If I want to be good enough to be comparable to Jaden, I'll need to give these next three years my all." He thought to himself. Blue-Eyes Shining appeared and gave a growl that translated to "And I'll be with you every step of the way, through thick and thin.". Luc looked at his partner. "Thanks pal, I appreciate it." he said.

OOC: Time for Zack to get his Duel spirit.

IC: Zack woke up from his relaxing nap. He saw that someone had opened the door. He heard this voice. He followed it and followed it. He reached the North side of the island.

 

"Hello!! What the heck you waiting you waiting for... Come out!!" He said with courage and fright.

 

"VVrrhhee who!!" the voice said with excitement.

 

The creature appeared. It was a robo Kuribuh or something. I went up to touch him, but my hand went through him. Then I realized it was a duel spirit. He checked his deck. At the front of the deck he saw a card that wasn't in his deck. Its name was Prototrap - Robo Kuribuh. He read the effect out loud.

 

"This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Special Summoned. This card can only be Set if the Field Spell "ProtoTrap Heaven" is face-up on your side of the field. This card cannot be switched to Defence Position. Before you can Activate this cards efftct you must Set it Vertically. This card cannot be Flip Summoned. This card only be Summoned when your opponent attacks this card. That turn you take 0 damage. This card cannot be destroyed the first turn it is Summoned. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, select 1 Spell card from you or your opponents deck. During the your next turn after this card was destroyed you can use the effect of that Spell card you picked and send that card to the Graveyard at the end of your turn."

 

"Zack I'm am now your duel spirit and only you will see me and only you can talk to me." Robo Kuribuh said.

 

Zack couldn't believe it. He had finally had his own Duel Spirit!

Azrael went out from the Chancellor Office and started walk to the Gate. Suddenly the atmosphere started to change, a strange air blow around Azrael "It's other spirit" Dark Necrofear said to Azrael while appearing behind him. "I see, thought you can't tell which spirit and from who is this one, can you?" Azrael said to Dark Necrofear while taking the card of "Dark Necrofear" out of his pocket. "Yeah, that's true, I can't, but, thought there's no problem with that for you, don't it?" " Yeah that's true, now that Chronos has accepted my petitions, I can found every duelist I want here."

The air stopped, the spirit smiled to his owner and disappear. Azrael keep the card, and continue walking in direction of the Obelisk Blue Dorm. It's time to introduce myself to my Dorm

Zeraius decided to say bye to Isumi and Leon in order to head back to his own dorm. Lumina appeared behind him as he walked.

"Sooooo?" Lumina asked knowingly.

"What?" Zeraius replied, playing dumb.

"Aren't you glad I sent you over there?"

"In a way. Being an extrovert for once wasn't terrible, and I met 2 more people with Duel Spirits. One being a teacher here... He seemed interesting to say the least."

Lumina smiled proudly as she walked next to Zeraius. This year seemed like it was going to be interesting enough, he felt changes in the near future.

As he neared the Blue Dorm, he saw the teacher walking by again. Lumina waved happily at the teacher, not sure if she could be seen or not. Zeraius walked towards him.

"Hey, you're the teacher that dueled Isumi. Are you a teacher for Obelisk?" Zeraius asked the teacher. It was odd talking to him so formally, considering this teacher was younger than Zeraius himself.

Azrael was arriving to the Obelisk Dorm when Zeraius walked towards him. Azrael saw Lumina but, Dark Necrofear waved instead of Azrael.

"Oh, Monsieur Zeraius, I'm Azrael Valiant and for now on I'm the head teacher of this dorm, so we are goint to see often boy" Azrael said to Zeraius "Well, I don't know you formally, so can you introduce yourself for me?"

"Well, you already know my name. Zeraius Kiboshi, top student of Obelisk Dorm. 17 years old, third year at Duel Academy. I haven't lost a duel since the summer of my first year at Duel Academy." Zeraius said, listing all of the facts that would appear in a school's file.

"I see Dark Necrofear behind you. How long have you been able to see Duel Monster's spirits?" Zeraius asked without thinking. He usually thought logically and rationally, mostly just asking question he felt were relevant.

Azrael started to laugh when he listen the question of Zeraius. "Aztually, too see the Spirits since I have memory. I had my Arcana Force and Archfiends spirits, but, having Dark Necrofear just since I loose my parents. Oh come on, don't be so rude Dark Necrofear just say hi to Zeraius" The spirit of Dark Necrofear appear and just stare looking at Zeraius with the doll in his arms. "It's just, incomfortable, your spirit is a Lightsworm, I don't like them so much." Dark Necrofear said.

"Oh well," Azrael Interrupted, "so you said that you haven't lost one single Duel, well, we can change that." Azrael took out his duel disk but not his Deck "but... it's not the time for that."Azrael said while keeping his Duel Disk again "for now we should leave it in just a friendship, glad to meet you Monsieur Zeraius"

((I wanna say that the Lightsworn's are something nobody has heard of before. I have reasons for this in Zeraius' story. Your Duel Spirit is fine to know who they are, since it's a duel monster blah blah. But just for future reference, nobody should know anything about the Lightsworn's, other than what your character has seen of Zeraius' dueling))

"Nice to meet you too, professor Azrael. And you Dark Necrofear." Zeraius nodded in the direction of the two as he walked towards his room. Today was eventful, and he hoped the rest of this days of the school would be like this. He had made at least 1 new friend today. He didn't get to talk much to Zack and Luc, but they seemed nice enough, and good duelists.

As Zeraius leave...

"Lightsworn you say? Don't know what is that.... I'll find in my way thought Necrofear" Azrael said while starting to walk to inside the dorm waiting to see his new students to introduce himself. Azrael has started a new page in his book of life, maybe he write an adventure chapter in this one, he don't know. He just want to fulfill his achviements for his corp at the Duel Academy.

"So the guy walking towards the school building is a teacher?"

"Yeah," Isumi sighed, waving to Zeraius as he left. "He's incredible, I only just managed to last more that two rounds against him." Isumi suddenly felt a rumbling in her stomach, and she glanced at her watch.

 

"Ooh, dinner time already? - good, because I'm hungry" she said, her mood seeming to pick up. "Are you coming as well?" she asked, heading towards the Slifer dining hall.

Zeraius had his deck laid out on the floor. Monsters spread out with the Spells and Traps spread below them. He looked over his deck as he ate some noodles for a quick dinner. He didn't like eating in the Obelisk dining hall, it was too crowded and loud.

Lumina appeared behind Zeraius and kneeled over to look at the cards.

"What are you thinking about?" She asked.

"I don't know... I've had this bad feeling since I got to the room." Zeraius explained.

"Well, it can't be anything having to do with that or I would have felt it too." Lumina said, thinking out loud.

"It's probably nothing. Just been eating noodles too much I guess." He said as he threw out the rest of his noodles. Zeraius picks up his deck and shuffled it as he drew five cards.

"Hmm. Not bad." He said to himself as he proceeded to play out the hand as if he was dueling.

 

Zeraius decided to walk around the grounds a little bit, he asked Lumina to keep an eye out too. He still had that bad feeling, and he wasn't gonna let it go without at least taking a look around the grounds.

IC: "Sure" He followed Isumi to the dining hall. "Hey, do you think they'll ever make renovations on the Slifer dorm, I'm serious there was a roach in my shoe this morning."

(Pichu, you'll probably have to change your deck as well. Azelf's already using lightsworns.)

 

"Of course they won't," Isumi replied, "all the people who'd give them enough money to do it have their kids in Obelisk, so they don't care. Besides, Chancellor Chronos doesn't like this dorm, remember? He's not likely to approve renovation work to it if he doesn't have to."

 

Isumi herself hadn't found any real problem with insects in her room. Her room-mate joked that it was because they were afraid of being crushed under all of the piles of junk that littered the place, but she reckoned it had more to do with the other girl's perfumes and scents. At least one person had wondered how the two were friends, considering that they had almost completely opposite personalities, but they had rapidly found each other fascinating, and of course both being fond of dueling didn't hurt.

 

A bolt of pain suddenly shot though Isumi's forehead for no apparent reason. She winced and clutched her head, but the pain faded as fast as it came, and so she straightened up and carried on as if nothing happened.

((Random Dude, try to make your posts at least a paragraph. Just describe what your character is thinking and whatnot if you have to. Single line posts don't give much leway for response. =/))

Zeraius finished his patrol at the Slifer dorms.

"Seems everything is okay..." He said to himself as Lumina appeared in front of him.

 

"Things are okay from what I can see." Lumina reassured him.

"It was probably nothing to begin with." He reasoned. Zeraius started walking back to the Obelisk dorm, but was soon cut off by a strange hooded figure. The figure proceeded to open up a duel disk without saying a word.

 

"Looks like it wasn't nothing after all." Zeraius said as he opened his duel disk and put his deck into the slot. His eyes narrowed as he drew his 5 cards. The hooded figure drew his sixth and the duel began.

 

The hooded figure set a monster in defense mode and set 1 s/t.

"My turn." Zeraius said as he drew his sixth card.

 

"Perfect. First, I'll activate the spell card Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy your face down." The card flipped up to reveal a Mirror Force and then was destroyed by a massive white tornado.

 

"Next, I'll activate Charge of the Light Brigade!" A card depicting a white, armor clad dog bursting through glass appeared on Zeraius' field. He took the top three cards of his deck and placed them in the graveyard slot on his duel disk. After, one popped back out.

 

"Because Wulf was sent to the graveyard from the deck, I can special Summon him!" A wolf with human-like features appeared with some armor and a long bladed claw on his arm. Zeraius took his deck and pulled out the card he was looking for.

 

"Charge of the Light Brigade allows me to get one Lightsworn monster from my deck to my hand after sending the top three cards of my deck to the graveyard. The card I choose is, Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner, who I'll summon from my hand in Attack mode." The all familier face of Lumina appeared on Zeraius' field.

 

"Now, I'll activate the spell card Solar Recharge from my hand." He sent one of the Lightsworns in his hand to the graveyard, and drew two cards from his deck, then sent the top two to the graveyard.

"Then, I'll activate Lumina's effect." He said as Lumina's hands began to glow a reddish-pink color.

 

"By sending one card in my hand to the graveyard, I can special summon one level 4 or lower Lightsworn from my graveyard. I choose, Ehren, Lightsworn Monk!" A darker skin-toned Lightsworn appeared wearing a golden tiara and a red skirt appeared on his field.

 

"Now, Ehren, attack that face down!" Zeraius commanded as Ehren ran at the card, smacking it with the pole she wields, then as the card flips up to reveal a Sangan, Ehren does a backflip and kicks the card upwards.

"Whenever Ehren attacks a Defense position monster, the monster is sent back to the owner's deck, and the deck is then shuffled!" The hooded figure calmly and silently does as the effect says and shuffles the card into his deck.

 

"Now, Lumina! Wulf! Direct attack!" Zeraius yelled. The two ran towards the figure. Lumina cast a spell that just grazed him or her, but Wulf slashes them with its claw which pushes them back some.

"I'll set one s/t and end my turn." Zeraius said.

 

"Now, Lumina's effect activates. I have to send the top three cards of my deck to the graveyard. The same goes for Ehren." He takes the top six cards of his deck and sned lets the graveyard slot pull them in.
