'Hello Harry.' said Wayne, who was, at 6 years old, Dionysus' youngest son. 'What are you doing today? I'm going to go say hi to dad.' Then he ran off to the Big House, and said 'hi Daddy.' to Mr. D.

 

Dante got up, amazed at how well Apollo had healed him. 'Th-Thank you.' He said, making a mental note to sacrifice something to Apollo during dinner. Then he bowed deeply to Apollo.

 

Nikki was in the attic, trying to figure out the prophecy. If Dante's better, then he can still go to help with the Axe. But then, we've only lost Alban. She sighed. Unless this time 'lost' means Sula, who's lost faith in the olympians. In which case we're one short. But none of us has a scar, so that means Luke is coming, but it said there'd be five demigods who'd go, and two of ours would 'Lose', meaning Alban and Sula. But... Alban was never here when the oracle said the prophecy, so that'd mean that We're one short. But, now even with Dante coming we're still one off. Unless... Luke is trying to get the Alkahest Axe, too, so he's coming too. That'd bring the demigod total up to five, but there's still a chance that we'll lose somebody, if the oracle didn't mean Sula. Which'd mean that, since Luke's replacing Alban, Luke could have brought an assistant demigod to replace the demigod of ours that won't make it, and then it'd be three on two, not counting if Titin finds the Axe. He's hard to figure out. Oh, this is so confusing!

Harry thought to himself, Hi Wade. Have fun.. He pulled out what looked like an ordinary cup, but Harry thought to himself Diet Coke and immediately there was Diet Coke in the cup. He drank it up. This cup was not ordinary however. If any mortal but a son or daughter of Dionysus drank from it, they would immediately become intoxicated beyond belief. Harry had always had a strange affinity for Diet Coke, but ever since he met Dionysus he had known where it came from, not that he cared. Harry didn't really care about anything. He felt himself beyond the problems of the gods or the half-bloods. The Titans would be defeated, and Harry would relax as it happened.

But if Alban and Sula are lost, and then Luke will probably be with at least one assistant. Unless Alban doesn't count because he was lost during the quest for the Blade, so then we'd have to lose someone else, or else Luke would go alone, but even then somebody would have to leave. But it'd have to be one of ours, because it said that two of our number would lose, so somebody of ours won't make it. But who? Unless Sula doesn't count, so two of our soldiers will fail. I know I won't fail, and Dante may be a bit weak and stiff from his injury. But that's only four demigods. Me, Dante, Sula, and Brian isn't enough to find this Item. Unless that's the point of the prophecy, in which case Luke's going to try to get there first, or if Titin, gods forbid, manages to get the Axe before us, then we'll have a bigger problem. Nikki was having trouble figuring out this prophecy.

IC: Harry decided to take a walk through the strawberry fields, help them grow. He stepped carefully between the plants, occasionally picking a juicy, ripe strawberry. He noticed the twins in the distance; they were some of the only people he got along with in the slightest. "Hey Pollen!" He shouted.

 

A twin at the distant side of the field replied, "It's Pollux Harriet."

"Whatever." said Harry. This was the general way conversation went among Dionysus' children, sarcastic retorts.

After breakfast Jecht felt like he should be doing something helpful to aid the camp but there was nothing to be done. The camps border's were partrolled 24/7 and the shift were being shif right now. He saw Nikki looking troubled, with a funny look on her face, as if she was trying to figure out something immpossible. Jecht walked over to her, "Hey, Nikki right? Is there something wrong? You look . . . troubled." He said feeling generally concered about her wellbeing.

"I heard you guys were planning on sneaking some wine." said Harry.

"Where you hear something like that?" asked Pollux.

"Why does it matter?" Harry replied.

"It doesn't. And we were planning on that." replied Castor.

"Then why'd you ask, Casper?"

"No reason, Harper."

Ans so the conversation continued for a few minutes, before Harry got on to his real subject.

"There exists a sword in the Big House." he started. "Dionysus forged it with his own hands, in the forges of Hapheastus. Its powers are incredible for those who can wield it."

"And why would I care?" asked Pollux.

"Because, only Dionysus and his children can wield it."

IC: Nikki paused, Should I?... Yes. Otherwise we'll be short one camper for the quest. So Nikki told him everything about the quest, and the prophecy, and the sword in Brian's phone, and that she thought she knew where the axe was. But she didn't tell him what she was actually thinking about.

'We need help, Jecht.' She begged, her beautiful eyes pleading directly into his, 'Since Alban left, we're a demigod short, and... You know so much about everything, and I don't understand any of this. I don't know how to get into the underworld, I don't know who the goddess of ghosts is, I don't even know why we're even doing this. I'm so useless, I should just stay behind. Nobody needs me.' She used her deceptive powers to make him believe that she was completely miserable, and that the quest would fail without his help, and also without hers.

 

Meanwhile, as Castor, Pollux, and Harry were talking, that left the Dionysus cabin completely empty, so Wayne snuck in and reached under his bed, where he grabbed a box filled with mud. He evenly spread mud on everyone's bed, under the covers, including his own. Then he left, after hiding the empty box back under Pollux's bed.

Jecht thought she was going to brust out into tears right then and there. "Its okay." He said trying to comfort her in some way. "I guess I could help you." Then his mind started zooming to make some sense of the phrophcy. "A scar? Who has a scar? Could it be Dante after he broke his neck or whatever?" He said trying to avoid the topic of Luke which obvisously he thought of "What are "the lands of grey"?" He started thinking of places without light or color. "The underworld possibly. The fields of Aphspholt." He said whishing he had something to write on because he would forget all of what he said in a day.

'It's Luke.' Nikki replied sadly, her dark eyes downcast. 'Luke's trying to get the Alkahest Items too. And Melinoe is the goddess of Ghosts, so where in the underworld does she exist?' Not far from the river Lethe, She thought. So, in theory... I could, if the opportunity presented itself, purify Luke of his evils in the river. But first I'd need to get the Axe. But if Melinoe knows the way, will she tell it? Doubtfully. So she's probably just a stepping stone, to tell us where to go. We'll still have to find it on our own. So where would we go? Maybe inside the River Lethe? But how could we retrieve it? We'd need a child of Poseidon, or at least some water demigod. Hmm...

"But won't Dionysus notice it missing?" asked Pollux.

"Its Dionysus. When does he use a sword? Besides, he has something more powerful. His magic." replied Harry.

"Right. Dionysus has probably not used that sword in thousands of years." said Castor.

Harry began walking towards the cabin, the twins fell in step behind him. This would require a lot of planning, as Dionysus was no fool, he would guard his sword carefully.

'What are you talking about?' Wayne asked his older siblings in an annoying manner. 'Daddy has a sword? Where is it? I want a sword! You guys already have weapons, but Chiron said that I'm too small. I'm not too small! I'm already almost seven. I want a sword too! Why can't I have a sword!?!'

 

I'll have to pack some sort of thing to keep me dry, just in case I'm right. It'd be a good place to hide an Alkahest Item. Hmm... Nikki thought, contemplating how she could retrieve anything that might have been thrown into the River Lethe. 'I'm not going soft for Luke,' She said, her expression sorrowful, 'He's betrayed Olympus, and he will pay for that. I knew Luke well, too well to be surprised by his treachery, his deception. I will kill him if I have the chance. So don't worry about me.'

 

Dante was training with Omega and Nightslayer. He had never been quite as skillfull since Titin had broken his neck, but he was still getting better. He stabbed two dummies then disemboweled them with a swipe of his blades, which then chopped off the top bit of two more.

"Shut up, Wade." said Pollux. The walked into the cabin.

"What in the name of Hades?" asked Harry when he smelt the mud. There was mud spread on all their beds.

"There's a box under Pollux's bed!" said Caster.

"You idiot, I was hear last of us three, and the mud wasn't hear. It had to be someone else." said Harry. He felt the mud. It was still wet. "Someone was here recently." he said.

"But only the four of us," Pollux said, indicating that Wayne was included, "come in here."

"Well, since it happened while we were busy..." They all looked at Wayne.

OoC:Sorry for double post. Crap! I tried to delete it and I accidentally deleted the whole post. I didn't know that until now.

 

IC:Hatred. Jecht thought. Nikki's reaction was just pure hatred of Luke and wanting to kill him. Almost as common as wanting to help him. "Well, I hope so." Jecht said thinking about the newfound quest he had. "So I guess were off to the underworld." He said thinking about the lines, 'goddess of ghost' and 'land of grey.' Then his mind started thinking back to Mythology classes. Melinoe, goddess of ghost and offerings to the dead. "She's the one who stalks the Earth with a band of ghosts every night isn't she, Melinoe I mean?"

'I'm not Wade! I am THE CONQUISATOR!!!!! AND I DIDN'T DO IT!!!!!' Wayne screamed, then ran in terror to the lake, where he tried to hide underwater by breathing through a straw.

 

Dante continued to practice his swordsmanship, mutilating every training dummy he could see. Finally, he was able to fight better again. But Dante would probably never be able to battle as well as he did before his injury.

 

Diana was sitting by the lake, enjoying the sun. Then, Wayne showed up. She burst into laughter when Wayne tried to hide, and then she got up, still laughing lightly, and covered the tip of the straw with her finger.

 

'Not hatred.' Nikki replied sadly, shaking her head slowly, growing more despondant with every moment. 'Ruthlessness. It's not always a bad thing. Sometimes it's just seeing exactly what's between you, and what you need, and knowing exactly how to get it. No matter what cost.

Brian nodded at Dante and walked out side to go train on some dummies again. Brian hated his half brother for what hes been doing to the camp. He slashed at a dummy. Its all his fault the tree is dying hes the only demigod that would do something like that. His sword flashed to the alkehest blade. oops he thought, thats not supposed to happen He deactivated his blade and kicked the dummy he was standing before and decided he should go rest in the Hermes cabin, He turned to wave at dante and stopped.A scar... He thought. Then he lifted his shirt and stared at his chest where a scar was over his heart from when he had surgery for his heart when he was a baby. They said my heart beat too fast, now i have this scar Brian looked at Dante to see if there was a reaction.

Jecht put his arm around her trying to comfort her. "Well, you know ruthlessness it almost never a good thing. Ruthlessness has gotten many heroes killed over the thousands of years. You don't have to be a cold hearted killer to be a hero. Being intelligent and being wise are two different things. Sometime you have to do what's smart and sometimes you have to do what's right. The only problem is you have to know when to make the smart choice and when to make the wise one." Jecht thinking about what would happen if Luke did confront them directly.

Dante's eyes widened. That changes everything He walked over. 'Do I need glasses or is that?...'

 

Nikki saw everything. She had decided to train with her dagger. Invisibly. So she saw Brian's blade shift, and she also saw his scar. That's good to know... She slipped quietly away.

 

'I know. You're right. That's why I wanted you to help us. But, I'm not wise. I'm barely even intelligent.' Nikki paused. 'Jecht.' She said suddenly, as she recieved the message via empathy link. 'It's Brian. Not Luke. Brian's had heart surgery. There's a scar. He's our fifth demigod. Luke isn't going to be a problem.'

 

Wayne started swearing at Diana. 'Thanks for nothing! I'm trying to hide, and what do you do!?! You try to drown me! Stupid Apollo demigods...' then he went off to look for a new hiding place, far from Apollo demigods, as Diana fell to the ground laughing helplessly.

 

Titin had finally made it back to the mortal world! But he had a job to do, and that was to find the oracle. something something ghosts, something something alkahest, something grey something something. What was that prophecy again? Where's the stinking lance?!? But.. Titin grinned stupidly. There's other oracles. I'll just ask another, and he'll tell me where that dumb lance is. And when I get my lance, hehe, I'll get back my sword! And then I'll get more!!! Titin's laugh echoed for miles.

"What?! Everyone is wise and intelligent it just depends on how you use it." Jecht said realizing how much he sounded like he was prophicizing her future. I guess that's why I'm Apollo's kid. Then she mentioned Brain. "Really? Brian? I guess but you know the Alkahest things are supposed to be all powerful if all collected. I wouldn't be surprised if Luke did show up along the way but remember the difference between what's smart and what's wise." He said looking at her. "So when are we going to be leaving?" He asked thinking about what he would need to carry. "So if you'll excuse me I'll need to attend to something." Jecht said as he started to walk off to the Apollo cabin not knowing how long it would be until he saw it again.

Brian pulled his shirt down. "I can't believe i forgot," He said. "The rush of camp and the mention of a quest it got me wrapped up and i lost track. Well im going to rest, we can talk about what this means at lunch." Brian swung his phone, it turned to the alkahest blade and destroyed a dummie's every fiber before reverting back and Brian walked, then ran, to the hermes cabin.

 

Brian pushed open the cabin door hoping to see the twins but he didn't so he just sprawled out on a bed

Harry walked off towards the Big House. He'd get his dad to fix up the cabin. For some reason, that seemed to be the only thing he cared about at camp, probably because he had included a little shrine to himself within it. His ego never fails to amaze me, thought Harry. Then again, he thought, neither does mine. He laughed to himself about that. He arrived at the porch to find Dionysus sipping a Diet Coke while playing a game of pinochle. "Hello Dionysus." he said.

"Yes, hmmm, hi Hercules." he mumbled, focused on the game.

'it's Harry dad."

"Whatever." replied Dionysus.

Nikki nodded slowly. 'Luke's coming.' She said it with complete certainty, her accent making it sound strangely ominous.

 

' 'kay.' Dante agreed, and then he started thinking about how on earth Brian could have forgotten that he had a scar.

 

Wayne decided to hide from the other Dionysus demigods in the Hermes cabin. 'Hide me!' He told a Hermes camper, and then he crawled into somebody's sleeping bag.

 

Nikki left the Training grounds to get some things to bring. Prepare for three or one? Would I count as one person? Or three? She paused. One. I'm just Nikki. We all are. They don't count.

 

Diana then decided, since she was already soaking wet from when Wayne jumped into the lake and splashed her, so go swimming. So, she went over to Apollo cabin to get her swimsuit and a towel.

Brian looked at the camper who had just hid in a sleeping bag under his bunk. "Hey kid you sure whatever you're in trouble for is worse than getting in trouble for being in my cabin?" HE said making his phone turn to a caduces to scare the boy. He had no time to waste with this boy he just was stressed out about the quest. If Luke comes my worst nightmares will be reality. He said remembering the dream he just had of Luke's body in a gold casket, being offered a scythe from a boy with an eye patch.

"There's dirt in your cabin. Could you please have the cleaning harpies clean it?"

"Yeah sure, just be out of there or they'll eat you Haracles."

"Sure thing. Wades gonna get it, and I don't wanna mess up the cabin."

"Have fun" said Dionysus. "Just don't make a mess? Also, tell him and anyone else you see, I'm considering cancelling canoeing races this saturday."

"Sure, whatever". Harry walked off.

ooc: Not much. this is basically the time between quests, but soon some people are gonna go on a quest.

 

IC: Wayne stayed where he was. 'I'd rather get maimed by you than killed by my brothers. That's not a very big sword. They have bigger swords. Now hide me.'

 

Dante went over to his cabin, where he was going to stock his pockets with things to use for the quest. 'Let's see... I've got a canteen of water, Nightslayer and Omega, jacket, bag of ambrosia squares, canteen of nectar, shield, backup shield, 10 drachmas, one hundred mortal dollars, anything I'm forgetting? Oh yeah, food.' So he also packed some food. 'A knife could be useful...' So he packed two knifes, one celestial bronze, one mortal iron. 'Never hurts to be prepared.' He muttered.

Harry wasn't a subtle guy. He started banging on cabin doors, then opening and asking if 'Wade' was inside. He quickly approached Hermes, cabin 11, and when he finally arrived, it was his last cabin. "Is Wade in there? I want to rip him to pieces and then through the pieces into tartarus!' said Harry calmly. He stepped inside. The cabin was very full. "Hey, where is Wade? I know he's in here!". said Harry.
