Percy Jackson and The Olympians:Half-Blood Struggle[PG-13] [Accepting via PM,Started]

Brian turned his head as he heard "Oh gods no." He heard Nikki say. "sheet." Brian swore. "They must be back." His phone beeped. "And, somoene is using ther Axe on camp." Brian looked back. "Nikki's in trouble get to safety." He looked at Alice before zooming off. He keyed in the code for the sword. It wasn't always neccesary to get finger prints. Martha sent conformation and Brian was in. He zoomed up to Damian he had to stay on his toes, someone was making kids give away their Alkahest weapons. Brian wouldn't get punked into that. Titin had no weapon so Brian targeted him first. He swooped in between Titin and Nikki. He slashed at Titin and grabbed Nikki around the waist and ran off. He turned around and a large wave of Snow flew upwards. Nikki didn't get hit. He hated leaving people but she would surely be killed. He knew he shouldn't but he ran back to the fight. Damian couldn't have that axe no matter what. Brian didn't stop moving he knew that would give them enough time to know whats happening. Brian swung his sword at Damian and shoved the sword through his shoulder that didn't have the sword and then he swooped it upward. He pulled it out and ran around him with his sword pointed inward slashing at conveinient places trying to get the axe from his hand.

Shade threw a sword at Titin, and it turned visible when Titin grabbed it. To anybody else, it would seem that a sword appeared in Titin's hands.

 

Damian swung the Axe at Brian, narrowly missing. His injuries healed whenever Brian was able to get a shot in, and Damian was beginning to stop feeling pain. Damian brought out his submachine gun, and let fire. Mace froze as he saw another figure enter the clearing. Scathe.

 

'Hello, Damian.' Scathe said, converting his baton into a scimitar.

Mace walked up to him. 'Scathe. You've finally chosen to join us?'

Scathe nodded. 'Tomba!' And Scathe's little toy robot Power Suit turned into a suit of armor, appearing suddenly on Scathe's body. Scathe and Mace both ran back into the battle, which now Desiree had also joined, slashing her knife at whoever she could, calling for blood.

 

Titin's eyes narrowed when he saw Brian holding the Sword. His Sword. Titin let out a roar, then charged Brian, as Zelkiax skirted around the sides, inching his way slowly to Nikki's unconcious form.

Brian swung the sword around to his back and blocked Titin's hit. He shoved a foot into Damian's chest and flipped over the trio. He landed a few feet behind Titin with his blade held diagonally in front of his face and his hand behind him. Several Arrows sprouted from Damian's head as Nick swooped in on a flying skateboard. Probably to emulate his father's sun chariot. Alice also made it in time a wave of snow surrounding her and several snow balls pelting Titin, Damian, and narowly missing shade before one hit him on the shoulder and dissapeared. Brian spun in a flurry and a small cyclone rushing across the ground throwing snow through the air.

Zeus told Harry that if he was going to live in Olympus, he had better make himself useful. Harry volunteered to act as a messenger. The first message was to Hades in the Underworld, something trivial. Zeus wanted to see if he was reliable. Harry boarded a plane, then got out in LA. He entered the studio to find Charon there. "Hello." said Harry. He looked at Charon, who was wearing an Italian suit, as always. "I need a ride to the Underworld. Official Olympus business."

Damian shook the arrows off, then aimed his gun and started firing towards Nick. Mace turned to face Jecht, his flail dangling from one hand, a shield in the other, and Titin disarmed Desiree, putting his sword-tip at her throat.

Scathe activated the jet pack in his power suit and began hovering in the air.

'Fire blaster.' He muttered, and then the armor over his left arm became a flamethrower. He aimed it at Alice, then started blasting tongues of flame at her, as Zelkiax slowly inched his way towards Nikki. Shade flew through Brian, having only enough energy left for a moment of control. But in that moment, Brian found himself unable to move, and then Damian struck, throwing him several yards back with a forceful shove, empowered more so by the Axe's ability to increase strength. Zelkiax jumped on his chance, he grabbed Nikki's limp form and roughly dragged her off into the trees, vanishing moments later in the gloom.

 

 

Tiaden thanked the god who had teleported him back to Zephyr's House, then walked inside. Zephyr hobbled over to him joyfully.

'Oh, Tiaden, is it true? How is Xaiklez?'

Tiaden rolled his eyes. 'Glad you care about me, too.'

'Oh, I do,' Zephyr said, ushering Tiaden inside. 'But this boy told me that Xaiklez had died.'

'What!? Who?' Tiaden asked, surprised.

Zephyr shrugged. 'Dante Brimston, he said his name was.'

Tiaden looked outraged. 'Xaiklez is fine, but Dante won't be!'

He left Zephyr's house running.

Brian flew several yards into a tree. THere was a hard crack and Brian's pine was misshapen. HE yelled out in pain as Nick's skate board flew in front of him blocking every bullet. There was a sizzle of steam as gallons of water rose up in front of Alice as she tried to block the fire. Brian's back healed slowly but surely and with a burst of godly adreneline he was back on his feet. Nick caught the board in one hand and pulled himself back on firing several arrows at Scathe's head. Brian lept into the air and swung his blade hard into Scathe's back where the jetpack was hoping to destroy the mechanism. Alice decided it best to swim away. Snow rose from under everyone and turned to water covering everyone. Alice focused on bringing in as much snow from within a 12 foot radius and more. Air bubbles appeared around the heads of the allies, but damian and titin were submerged. Brian slammed Scathe into the water where it jumped and pulled. Brian wondered where all the water came from. There wasn't enough snow to do this much water damage. He realized that salt was in the water and it was from the sea. She must be the daughter of a sea god. He thought kicking his feet into the water propelling himself and slashing at Damian as the ball of water floated toward the river leaving a circle of dark ground behind.

Desiree kicked Titin away from her, and swam back. She glanced at Brian, and instantly read his mind. Not a sea god. She thought to herself. No minor god has this much power. Not a sea god. The sea god.

 

Titin, Mace, and Scathe swam out of the bubble, then ran off. Damian stayed, however, a crazed gleam in his eyes. He laughed underwater, then stared directly at Alice, and the water began to get murkier, harder to see through. Within moments, Damian was unseeable. Seconds later, the bubble of water exploded outwards, and Damian was standing on top of a giant myrmeke, with blackish-red armor.

'The thing with Alkahest is, now I can use my real powers over terror and fear without the energy drain.' He laughed, and the huge monster started moving towards Brian, and also, towards the Ant Hill, where the beast's brethen would be able to help it.

 

 

A young boy walked up to Harry. 'Harry, son of Nyx and Dionysus? I'm Limos. Lord Zeus is creating a document to complete your arrival into godliness, because we haven't had any new gods for so long. The only thing is, we need you to enchant it with as much of your own power as possible.' The boy held out a small piece of parchment. 'So we can ensure for good how much power you have and what powers you have. By the way, this may leave you feeling quite weak, so I suggest doing it somewhere safe.'

[Luna Lovegood]

"Fine, fine." said Harry. He hadn't actually tested out his powers, and so he was unsure what he could do to the paper. He took it from the boy, and thanked him. He returned to his home. I will be safe here, he thought. He sat down in his study and concentrated. He didn't really know what he was doing. The lights started flickering, and then turned off. He felt power draining from his body into the paper. Then, he fell unconscious.

 

Harry woke up a few hours later. The lights had turned back on, but the paper had vanished. At least, it looked like it had, until Harry felt around on his desk. When his hand brushed against the paper, it became visible. Cool, thought Harry.

Limos reappeared in a flash of light. 'I'll take this back to Lord Zeus, then.' He said, and he grabbed the piece of enchanted paper, before vanishing in another flash of light.

Moments later, the boy appeared in the Underworld, in Melinoe's Cave. The illusion flickered and died, and Apate's true form was revealed. The parchment's illusion also changed, and Apate held in her hands a battered leather journal.

'Melinoe, I ask that you enchant this book.' She said slowly, as she cast an illusion to make herself look like Phobos. 'My father Ares is in want of a new weapon, a book of fear.'

Melinoe nodded, and enchanted the book, using enough energy to render herself weak and useless for several hours afterward. Apate teleported again.

[Luna Lovegood]

Harry felt that something was wrong. He did not recognize Limos. Also, why would Zeus not ask himself? Harry stood up. He was still weak. He walked out into the streets of Olympus, and made his way towards Zeus. "Zeus, Mighty Lord of the Olympians! Limos visited me this morning and did request I bestow considerable power into a parchment for you! Why did you not visit yourself, my lord? Would it not have been safer?"

Desiree waved her hand hurriedly, and called a person Xaiklez had told Marissa about. 'Show me Harry Potter, God of Shadows!'

The Iris Message appeared.

'Look Harry, I know we've never met, but we need some help here. And if Damian gets through us, he'll be killing Xaiklez next, along with the rest of camp. So a little help, please?'

 

Tiaden ran to Camp's borders, but stopped when he saw Peleus. He skirted around the dragon, then continued running towards the cabins. He drew his sword, and his shield appeared on his arm. Then Tiaden saw the group of people. Nate, Marissa, Diana, Xaiklez, and Dante. Tiaden ran forwards and attacked Dante in fury. He jumped back, avoiding a near-fatal strike. His armor appeared, and Dante drew his swords instinctively, barely managing to fend off Tiaden's crazed attacks, before Xaiklez ran between them, stopping Tiaden from reaching Dante.

'Move.' He muttered, his voice almost gutteral.

'No!' Xaiklez exclaimed. 'Leave Dante alone. What'd he ever do to you, Tiaden?'

Marissa gasped, then turned to look at Tiaden. 'You're..? No.' She shook her head. 'You aren't Tiaden. Tiaden's dead. Titin killed him.'

Tiaden looked at Marissa, scowling. 'What's it to you? Who are you, anyway?'

'I...' Marissa looked at him, and her gaze hardened. 'Marissa Teichen, Hecate.'

 

Zeus looked at Harry strangely. 'Limos? I think you're mistaken, Limos is in Peru, causing famine.'

 

Zeus looked over, at the Iris Message that had appeared. 'You know this girl?'

Brian gasped realizing it was true. Then he saw the Golden glow radiating from his own body. "Guess were evenly matched." He said. "Or not. He said. He dissapeared and reapperead behind the myrmeke. The armor fell out and the limbs were badly damaged. Brian breathed out as Alice manipulated the water that had burst outwards and froze it using the air. It rushed toward damian and the Myrmeke. Sharp spikes of ice going at high speeds. Brian swung the blade and the wind picked up, his own demigodly power and the iceblades flew faster. Brian disspeared again to appear in front of Damian as the ice shards flew faster.

[Corvidae]

Damian grinned, as every attack on him bounced off his skin. 'You're right. I can't kill the wielder of Alkahest. But I can kill your friends.' He jumped off the myrmeke, landing at the edge of the clearing, which was much too far away for any regular human to jump.

'Nikki'll be dead by day's end, if you don't give me the Sword.' He stepped back, into the trees. 'And if you think about following me, consider my pet's target.'

The myrmeke turned slowly, then began slowly crawling in the direction of Camp Half-Blood.

'Because you'll need Alkahest to kill her, and you'll need Alkahest to survive me.' Damian laughed, before disappearing into the trees. And Desiree, Brian, Jecht, and Alice were alone, only now realizing that Zelkiax had taken Nikki with him when he fled the battle.

"What in Hades is going on here?!" Nate yelled. "Who's Tiaden, and what do you mean he's dead, he's there isn't he?" Nate looked around. Diana was the only one who hadn't said something yet. Nate guessed she didn't know him either. All he saw was Dante, ready to battle, Xiaklez looking bewildered and confused, Marissa standing proud and some boy with fire in his eyes named Tiaden.

Jecht looked around not seeing Nikki. During the battle Mace had given him a goor bruise on the leg and it would've been worse if Alice didn't do her water thing. Jecht looked around half expecting to see Nikki just walk up but knew it wouldn't happen. He took it as his fault, as if he handed her over to them personally. I should've seen them. He thought silently but tried to push his emotions back. "Ok then, we follow Damian the ant things attack camp. We don't follow him Nikki's dead. They really love to torture us." He knew there were too many myrmeke for them to hold off seperated.

'I'm fine.' Tiaden growled angrily. 'Tiaden Nakron, Iris.'

'Tiaden, what are you doing?' Xaiklez asked, confused.

'But you were killed years ago!' Marissa insisted.

Diana stood out to the side. 'Will all of you shut up!?' Everybody stared at her. 'Tiaden, or whoever you are, explain what's going on.'

Tiaden exhaled. 'My name is Tiaden Nakron. I work for a man named Zephyr. Xaiklez already knows this. Me, Xaiklez, and Harry went on a quest to the realm of Nyx. Harry's now a god, and me and Xaiklez got teleported back to where we belong. When I got back to Zephyr's house, he told me that Dante Brimston had told him that Xaiklez was dead. Zephyr's been worried sick for months, and when I appeared back alone-' He trailed off

'I never did that!' Dante exploded. 'I don't know any Zephyr guy!'

'Yes you do, you nearly gave him a heart attack!' Tiaden shot back. 'He knows your name. You told it to him!'

Marissa cut in. 'But Tiaden died years ago.'

'What are you talking about? Who are you, anyway? And why do you look so much like-' He broke off.

'Who? Desiree?' Marissa was really mad now. 'Fat chance you care! You abandoned me! To wander the streets, to get sucked up into Luke's insane scheme, to get torn to pieces by Alkahest! You ruined my life!' Marissa spun on her heel, and stormed off to the cabins.

 

Shade appeared, looking smug. 'That's not necisarily true. Nikki won't be killed by Alkahest poisoning for several hours, giving you plenty of time to kill his myrmeke, and to realize that the girl dies if you don't give Damian what he wants. The Sword.'

Nate followed Marissa. When she was about to leave his sight, he said "Marissa, Wait up!" She stopped and went up to her. "Look, I guess you might have some bad history with Tiaden. But we can't let this stop our quest. You and Xiaklez know about Alkahest, and we need both of you. If we can't get through this, we will never even get the Javelin, much less the Scepter or Bow." Marissa looked angry and sad at the same time. Nate was just hoping he was saying the right thing. "So why don't we go back to the others, get this sorted out and go on our way." Nate smiled and offered his hand.

Jecht swung at the apparition out of anger for his sword to just pass through him. "Why are you even here?" He looked at where the giant ants were moments before. "Well, I think we should kill the mutant ants first then . . . maybe sombody'll have a plan by then." He added really wishing he wasn't a demigod at this point. He knew they would have to have some help to save Nikki and still have the Alkahest Sword. What kind of help or how they would help Jecht didn't know but he thought maybe they should just wing it this time.

[Corvidae]

'See, I'm not here at all.' Shade was enjoying this immensly. 'I'm a ghost. And I'm here to explain Damian's offer to you. You give him the Sword, and he'll spare Nikki. But if you don't give him the Sword... Well, I've heard that dying of Alkahest poisoning is one of the most painful ways to die, next to having your soul ripped out. And if Nikki dies, the other two are almost useless.'

 

Marissa glared at Nate coldly. She didn't move.

'Tiaden died, two years ago. Desiree was there. He suffered a fatal wound from Titin. She had to leave him.' Her voice cracked. 'Leave one behind, to die in the dirt, injure another, unending hurt. He can't be alive. The prophecy forbids it. And I wasn't kidding when I said what I did. It's Tiaden's fault that Desiree's ended up fused with me and Nikki. She... I, have every right to, to hate Tiaden. So bring him along, why don't you? What good have I done, compared to him abandoning his sister to worse than death, and living comfortably with an old man, while I worked my butt off getting the first two Items, only for him to appear suddenly expecting to be hailed as a hero? He can come on the quest instead.' Marissa bit her lip, and started walking slowly away from the Cabins where the rest of the group still was standing.

Nate studdered. "I...but..." Nate had no idea what to say. Was she being sarcastic? What should I say? Nate thought about these things, and many more. Why Marissa wanted to leave was beyond him. He just prayed to the gods that this could be over with and he could start the quest. As they got closer to the rest of the group, he realized that if Marissa wanted to leave this easily, maybe he shouldn't have her on the quest.

[Corvidae]

'Hey, what's up?' Dante asked, seeing the expression on Nate's face. 'What happened? Where's Marissa?' He looked over Nate's shoulder, but couldn't see her.

Xaiklez shook her head. 'Nikki's upset with Tiaden. I don't know why, but she'll get over it. She usually does.'

Tiaden turned to Xaiklez. 'I'll go tell Zephyr you're fine, then.' He gave Dante an evil glare, then started walking off.

 

After Tiaden had left, Diana said, 'Okay, I'm confused.'

'About what?' Xaiklez asked her.

'Well, You called her Nikki, right? Your friend, Tiaden? He called her Desiree. And Nate told me her name was Marissa. What's going on?'

Dante shrugged. 'I'll explain while Marissa, Nikki, Desiree, whatever you want to call her, calms down.'

Dante and Diana walked off as Dante explained about the three Nikki counterparts, Diana listening in rapt attention.

 

Damian arrived last in the toolshed he was using as a base. Zelkiax had tied Nikki to a chair and disarmed her, while Titin, Scathe, and Mace removed their armor. Damian turned to the girl, Axe drawn. Expertly, he touched the handle to her head, healing all injuries, then made a small incision in the back of her hand, not enough to do any damage, but it still drew blood, and was painful enough to wake her up.

Nikki woke up suddenly, and immediately began struggling, but Zelkiax had tied her too well to the chair. Nikki couldn't move. But then she saw the cut on her hand, and she slumped.

'Face it, girl. You're dead.' Damian growled. 'Those other campers aren't going to give away their only Alkahest Item to save you, and you'll die long before they have a chance to get a strong enough force to take us down. So you may as well give up and tell me where the Bow is.'

Nikki spat out the worst curse she could think of. Damian raised an eyebrow.

'Scathe, gag her.'

Scathe nodded and grabbed some duct tape.

 

ooc: I just love duct tape, don't you? You can use it to do anything at all. Except make people who love duct tape hate duct tape. But you wouldn't want to do that, so duct tape can be used for almost anything! Go duct tape!!

Jecht took another swing at Shade and began walking briskly thinking. He wanted to drop everything he was doing to go save Nikki but he knew he would probably die in his attempt. Camp Half-Blood could be destroyed but there were enough resoursful, powerful demigods to hold them off. He knew Clarrise was staying and he knew she wouldn't be beat by some overgrown bugs. Beckendorf too. The odds were looking up but still the only sure way to get Nikki out of there without losing somebody else's life in return was to give up the Sword. He knew they couldn't do that, or Damain would definatly kill them all off.

Brian looked down at his feet. The blade dissapearing as if on instinct and Brian pocketed the phone into his pocket. "Do any of you guys know about speed of light travel?" Brian asked looking up. Alice's eyes widened. "No Brian you couldn't possibly!" She said out loud. "We've used that blade so much already. I don't know much about these weapons but alkahest poisining does NOT sound good." She placed an arm on his shoulder. "MAybe we should give it back." As much as it pained Brian he shrugged her hand off. "WE have to fight. We can't let them control us." Brian looked her in the eyes. "Maybe we need another weapon" He looked towards the anthill. "MAybe our answer is in there..."

[Luna Lovegood]

"Hmm... Then it seems we have a problem," said Harry. "I think it will have to wait though, it seems Camp needs me. Would you mind if I go?" Harry was unsure as to what he should do next. He wanted to protect camp, but Limos might take precedent over that. Being a god was much harder then Zephyrus made it out to be. There were so many things that needed doing. "What should I do?" he asked, exasperated.

Alban collapsed at the top of Half-Blood Hill, his clothes torn and cut, blood running from a gash in his arm. He was being supported by Ajax, whose Greek battle armor had been carelessly slashed almost to the point of having holes. Alban's mouth coughed up some blood, but he forced a bit of ambrosia down, and his wounds closed a bit.

 

"Where's Mr. D?" Alban said, looking around, giving Ajax some ambrosia. "This could be bad, if we don't tell him."
