"Ummm, well I would know if Brian's GPS phone didn't just fly out the window hitting the big angry bird in the nose." Jecht said nervously while eyeing the eagle.

The eagle squwaaked loudly and recoiled as the phone hit it. It turned its attention back to the van full of demigods.

"Big bird." Chris said feeling scared as the huge bird was staring directly at him.

"I think it wants Chris." Jecht said glancing back at the shivering demigod. The eagle cawwed again looking at Chris. "Go ahead, it won't hurt you." He said reassuring himself more than Chris. Jecht stepped out of the van with Chris. Jecht walked with Chris, one hand on Chris' shoulder the other on his double-bladed sword. When Jecht got too close the eagle unfolded its wings as a warning then Jecht sent Chris up to the huge bird of prey.

"I don't wanna." He protested.

"Don't worry, I'll be right here." And Chris stepped forward to the eagle.

Its eyes glazed over. "You have a message, would you like to accept the charges?" Jecht looked confused and handed Chris a golden dramacha. Chris gave the coin to the bird and it tucked it into his wings. Its voice then changed into the deep and powerful voice of Zeus. "WE the gods and come to a conclusion. After looking through thousands of prophecies and scrolls and having come conferences with the Graiai and having tortured Prometheus, we have discovered this one is a demigod. Not any normal demigod but a demititan. He is the son of Kronus. The one call Luke had a son with a mortal girl. Luke was comsumed by Kronus and the boy, being a son of Kronus must have accidentally time travelled from your future to your present. Into the so called McDonald's. We are currentally discussing amongst the gods what to do with him."

"Then go get Talia ready. I don't have time to spare. If we can, I may have us leave tonight. We're going to have to pay a visit to someone. Someone who can tell us where Nyx resides. The only difficult part about that is, I have no idea who we need to visit. If you could tell me, well, let's just say that would be useful and helpful." Harry was wondering who they would ask.

 

As he did so, his eyes flickered towards the bookshelf, and scanned over the names. What ancient greeks knew everything?He thought. It was a difficult question, one that would have to be anwsered.

Xaiklez got an idea. 'I know of an old man. He's a son of Apollo, and he's very wise. People call him Zephyr. He doesn't live far from camp. We - I've known him for a long time. And do you think you could get Talia? It's kind of hard for a blind person to find others. Or at least to tell who's who. Not with only hearing them. Smelling sort of works on telling the species I'm talking to, but people, no.'

 

'Demititan?' Dante asked, thouroughly confused. 'A son of... Kronos? Kronos?!?'

 

Zephyr was in the middle of his afternoon nap. He was, as always, having a dream. In his dream, two demigods, a boy and a girl, were scaling a cliff. Time sped up, and then the demigods, along with another female demigod and a satyr, who was, strangely enough, wearing a wedding dress, were battling with a cyclops. Time sped up again, and the boy half-blood took out of a tree... The Golden Fleece.

Zephyr woke up. That was... Polyphemus? Yes, that girl used the name Nobody. And the Fleece... The Javelin's gone, guarded by a great beast, Nobody defeated him, then took his Fleece. Of course! That means that the Alkahest Javelin... is on Polyphemus' Island, in the Sea of Monsters.

 

ooc: Wasn't Kronos locked away in Tartarus before Prometheus created humans? Because, Zeus put Prometheus and Epimetheus in charge of repopulating the planet after Cronus destroyed it, but that wasn't until after the war of the gods and titans? So Kronos, who doesn't seen like the kind of guy who would fall in love with mortals, would have had to conceive a child with a human, while in Tartarus, without alerting the gods, and not letting his mortal wife raise the child, who ended up in an abandoned McDonalds? I don't think it'd work that well.

"I always thought people had a distinctive smell." said Harry. "For example, Wade, who lives here, smells disgusting. You don't. I can tell you guys apart without seeing or hearing you. But fine, I'll doit." Harry exited the cabin. "Talia!" he shouted. "Get your stuff packed now!" Harry was far too lazy to actually look for Talia, instead, shouting would have to do. "Talia! Where are you?!?" He would give her some info on what she had to do. Otherwise, she might mess up. Harry had never really trusted people.

'It's hard to tell, really, who's who simply by smell alone. If it's just me and Wayne, it's easy. But out of everyone in camp, not so much.' She grinned. 'You Dionysus demigods sure are energetic.'

 

Nikki started when she saw the eagle. 'Why is there?...' She began, but Dante interrupted her.

'Don't ask. Message from Zeus.'

 

Zephyr had almost managed to get back to sleep, when he heard another prophecy.

You shall sail the iron ship with warriors of bone,

You shall find what you seek and make it your own,

But despair for your life, entombed within stone,

And fail without friends, to fly alone home.

'I've heard that one before...' Zephyr muttered, before falling asleep and dreaming.

"Meh." he said. He didn't really care about what people thought about him. He walked around, reading his book on Nyx, while keeping an eye out for Talia.

 

Does she even know she's been volunteered for this quest? He thought. He couldn't remember Xaiklez asking Talia, but maybe he was just forgetful. He was hoping he wouldn't have to ask Talia to go on the quest.

Zephyr groaned and woke up again, yawning. That was odd, though. If Polyphemus had the fleece, but now it's stolen, then the line 'Nobody defeated him, then took his Fleece', would bear true. So that means that somehow Polyphemus got the Javelin. That seems strange enough that he'd be able to get It since he never leaves his island, but it seems that the Alkahest Items are always found first by the ones who are strongest, not smartest or most skilled. In fact... That seems to be the case with EVERY Alkahest Weapon. Talos, that man Titin, and now Polyphemus. The only exceptions are the Crown, Scepter, and Axe. Hmm...

Brain tentatively stepped out of the van and around to the front to get his phone. THe huge eagle squaked at him as he lifted it and it turned from a phone, to a sword, then a sheild and Brian lifted it in defence. "Don't hurt me." He said backing up.

 

Nick walked along silently with Talia as Harry called for her. "What does that loser want with you?" He said looking down at her.

 

Ooc: I agree with Strateigist14....how could he be a demititan. Not acceptable sorry unless you can convince me otherwise...You can make him the son of someone else...

IC: Jecht looked down Chris, then to Brian, then back to the oversized eagle. The eagle nodded at them and flew off. Kronus? What? This doesn't make sense. He looked down at Chris who apparentally didn't know anything of mythology and didn't understand any of it.

"Did that big bird just say crunos is my daddy?" Chris asked not able to pronounce Kronus correctly.

Jecht thought it would do no good to explain it to him. "Uh . . . yeah Crunos. He's your dad." He said not wanting Chris to even know Kronus' name for fear of him telling it to someone else. "Well then" He said sitting back in the driver's seat and looking to the others in the back. "What do we do now?"

Brian shrugged and looked as the eagle flew off then he looked behind him at the van. "I think we should fix the window and I should drive." He said smiling at Jetch remembering that not so pleasent brake. "Then we take this kid back to camp half blood. With a power as strong as time manipulation things could not go well. remember what happened to Calypso just because she was the daughter of Atlas?" Brian shook his head remembering his freshman greek myth class. " We need to take him to camp where he might be." Then Brian remembered the Boundries. "No its not safe there...Damn." Brian said placing his hand on his chin and thinking. "Well we can't go to the underworld anymore because his father would influence him too much." Brian thought hard. "Well lets get back to camp and confront Delphi." He looked to the sky as storm clouds rolled by and he shivered as a cold breeze blew through. "With my father's blessing I could probably survive a flight back to Camp with Chris." Lightning crackled across the sky. "But I doubt I could take more than one more of you." He said looking at Jetch, Dante, Nikki, then Chris as two pairs of shoes appeared at his feet and the caduces sprouted wings and flapped anxiously.

Dante stood up. 'I'll go. My powers over love won't be so effective in the underworld. It's way more effective if the questers have wisdom and... whatever Nikki's good at, than love. I'll be the least helpful there.'

'What?' Nikki sat up, then noticed the windshield was shattered. 'What happened now? And who's Crunos?... Are you referring to Kratos?' She added, realizing that they didn't want Chris to know his true parent was Kronos.

 

-what she claims, stay out of the city, else you'll die in flames. Zephyr was just hearing the end of another Alkahest prophecy. So many of them. He thought wearily. How am I supposed to keep track of all this? First there's the Sword, then the Axe, then everything else at the same time, then their powers, then something about a seventh, and now this! I don't particularily care for meaningless rhymes. That's what that was, wasn't it? She's not the goddess of Fire. This whole prophecy is full of pointless contradictions. 'Need help from above, go below, lying can cause a city to burst into flames, this is so stupid and pointless! I give up. Not that I can. Zephyr sat down, extremely depressed. I probably wouldn't have to worry about prophecies when I'm awake and dreams when I'm asleep if I was dead. Asphodel sounds so peaceful and nice. I've done nothing wicked in my life. I may even reach Elysium for saving those friends of mine all those years ago... who knows? For once, not me. He sighed again.

Brian nodded and handed the shoes to Dante. He gave another pair to Chris.

"Do you guys need anything before we take off?" He asked Jetch and Nikki. "Or are you to love birds fine." Brian said nudging Dante. "He you know about love, what do you say about these two?" He asked looking at the two. He smiled joking and looked at the two beginning to blush. He got an idea and went through his phone until "Can you feel the Love tonight." Blasted through his speakers.

Jecht blushed and couldn't help laugh at Brian's cruel sarcasm. "Dude. I guess being on the other side of the joke isn't as good eh?" He immedatily shut the radio off and sat feeling a bit embarressed back down beside Nikki. He watched as Chris put on the winged shoes and accidentally took off. "I don't think they'll let him live." He said referring to Chris. "I mean they just barely let the Percy guy lived and he was only a son of Poseidon, and he's a son of Kronus. The odds are they'll fry 'im alive and feed him to the monsters . . . if he's lucky." He look back at Nikki and then glanced at the necklace he had given her and turn his attention back to the window . . . thinking to himself.

[Corvidae]

'Well...' Dante grinned. 'I can't disagree.' He laughed. 'Nice choice in music.'

'Oh, both of you just shut up.' Nikki muttered, her face burning. Dante shrugged, still grinning, and took off.

'Nope' Nikki agreed. 'No way that kid's gonna survive. Or they could stick him in the Lotus Hotel for eternity.'

 

Xaiklez walked over into the forest. 'Nyx's realm. Sounds like we'll at least be headed through the underworld.'

 

Diana struggled against the rope that bound her and Zelkiax. 'Let... us... GO!' She shouted.

'Mr. Shaadler wouldn't be too pleased with me if I did that, now would he?' The man asked, chuckling. 'And if Mr. Shaadler's not happy, people generally die. And that usually solves the problem.' He leaned in conspiratorially. 'I'll let you two in on a little secret. Damian Shaadler is addicted to killing. He loves it more than those mortals love Christmas.' The man chuckled. 'Not that that info's gonna help you two.'

 

Zephyr groaned. Maybe... maybe dying wouldn't really be all that bad...

Jecht looked down at his cards that he had got out again. He murmered something and shuffled. He revealed the top card to be the card of happiness. He nodded and smiled. "Good." He whispered and stuffed them back into his bag and withdrew a peice of paper and a pen. Jecht started to scribble on the paper muttering to himself with a small smile on his face as he wrote on the paper in blue ink.

[Luna Lovegood]

"hey, Talia! Xaiklez told you about the quest, right? If not, we're gonna go find Nyx, Goddess of Night and Darkness, wake her up after thousands of years of sleeping, and try and save Dionysus' cabin. And some god will be discovered. Want in? If so, pack your bag, we leave tonight! As in, very soon, as in ASAP, as in go pack your bag. If you don't want in, then I'll find someone else, but a daughter of hades might be helpful, eh?" He said this so quickly that he never took a breath and it sounded like a single sentence

Brian took off helping Chris through the air. "Here hold this." He said pointing the back of the wand to Chris. Brian flew faster. "We have to get there fast, We can fly out of this storm." He was cut off by lightning about 15 feet behind them. "Before it fries us dead." He picked up speed. Not was his father the god of flight but of speed as well. THe wind picked up and blew the three demigods toward home. Brian flew fast and chris had trouble hanging on. Dante was a few feet away from them being pushed by wind. Suddenly Brian gasped as a wind tunnel appeared before them.

Jecht watched Brian fly off. "I guess, they'll catch up later." He said to Nikki jumping up into the driver's seat and sticking the paper along with his pen into his pocket. He quickly made a quick fix of the windshield to save time. "No time to waste eh?" He said starting the car and began driving along along the road glancing around the sides of the road as if he was looking for something. "We're not moving fast enough." He muttered speeding up. "We won't reach the underworld intime. Why can't we just take a plane? Zeus doesn't hate Apollo that much does he. No he hates a lot of people but not so sure about Apollo." Then he realized that he never really knew Nikki's immortal parent. He remembered while she was in the Athena cabin but had another parent but decided she would best be in the Athena cabin.

[Corvidae]

'It's Apate.' Nikki breathed. 'My godly mother is Apate, Goddess of Deception. Also, Hecate and Iris. They were Marissa and Desiree's parents. So I can't really say. But I'm in Athena because of my powers over deception.' She paused. 'I could maybe speed us up a bit. After all, I'm one-third daughter of magic.' She closed her eyes, focusing, and the car seemed to speed up.

 

'What the Hades is that thing!?!' Dante exclaimed. 'Why is Zeus trying to kill us!?!'

 

Xaiklez got up and walked out of the forest.

Jecht thought it was bit strange how she just picked his thoughts out of thin air. Then he thought about what she had said. Apate? He thought. She doesn't seem in any way realted to deception. It seems really wierd. He looked as the speedometer started to raise. "Whoa," He said as they sped up. He took a left and continued wacthing the sides of the road watching for something. He didn't want to break Nikki's consetration but said "Nikki, sorry to interrupt or anything but, don't you think its a kinda wierd that we haven't seen any more monsters since the McDonald's incident."

'I am deceptive.' Nikki read his thoughts again. 'It's just nobody knows. That's the whole point. and this car has... defenses. Back when Desiree was driving, she had it activated. No monsters were able to attack the car while it was active.' She kept her eyes closed. 'And I know what you're thinking about also because of Marissa and Hecate. Apate doesn't hurt. If you're the perfect liar, you can't be lied to. Any more than Poseidon can be drowned, or Hermes robbed.' The car sped up again.

[Luna Lovegood]

"Talia? Darn it, where in Hades name are you?!? For the love of the gods! Ah well, I'll find someone else. Any takers?" He yelled to anyone who could hear him. He didn't really care who the third person was, as long as they could fight, and hold their own under pressure. And if they were actually helpful, that would be a major bonus.

 

Harry walked around, looking for anybody. He was itching to get on the road and travel to meet this 'Zephyr' dude. He had a feeling he recognized the name though, just he had no idea where he recognized it from. Maybe a book? Too much work for him, he would just wait and be surprised.

 

OoC: What time of year is it anyways? And FYI, no underworld most likely. Its overdone.

Jecht shrugged his shoulder a little confused but hopeed that the "defences" would keep any unwanted monsters away. Now there was on of those awkward silences Jecht hated. He wished there was something to talk about but thinking of nothing he turned on the radio. Atleast it wouldn't be silent. He was thinking. Then the song, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" came back on, full volume because Jecht apparentally put the radio on Live Pause instead of putting the volume off. His face turned a bright red remembering Brian's joke and quickly changed it to rock, "Are You Ready" by Creed and turned the volume down lower so his ears wouldn't be blasted out.

Brian shook his head. "It's not bad." Brian said seeming to understand. His caduceus beeped and he knew it was help. "C'mon." He said speeding up and flying into it. He put his foot out for Dante to grab onto and he sped up. The tunnel was sideways like the begining of a tornado but if they flew down the middle they wouldn't be spun around but the air currents would propel them so fast they would rocket to New York so fast they wouldn't notice. Brian prayed he would be able to survive. "Hold on." He said speeding up and putting his head down as they flew over three states in a matter of minutes.

 

OoC: I doubt you could speed in that van with a broken wind sheild. You should edit an earlier post so it says. (After JEtch and Nikki repaired the windsheild...) then continue.

ooc: Summer. And I know, I just had to find some way to introduce Tiaden.

IC: Xaiklez appeared behind Harry. 'Most likely, Zephyr will be our third.' She muttered. 'There's no need for anyone else. He'll know more about this Nyx than anyone.' Then she got an idea. 'I'll send him an Iris Message.' She ran off.

 

Nikki's eyes opened suddenly, and the van's speed drastically decreased. 'Of course.' She breathed. Then she reached over Jecht and pressed a hidden switch on the underside of the steering wheel. 'If I'm able to do this, we'll be in the Underworld within an hour. If I'm not skilled enough, we'll be killed. This risks your life, too. Are you willing to let me try, or...' She trailed off.

 

Dante nodded and flew after Brian and Chris. 'This is epic!!' he shouted, trying to be heard over the roaring wind.
