Percy Jackson and The Olympians:Half-Blood Struggle[PG-13] [Accepting via PM,Started]

"I guess we'll have to settle for BurgerKing." Jecht said despite the very serious condition of things. He held is bow strung but pointed at the ground. "I'll go check to see if anybody's still here." He said walking around the counter. It was a bloody mess with bullets everywhere. He looked inside the bathrooms and heard a very faint whimper. "Hello?" He sakde looking in the stalls and found a very small little boy. When he saw Jecht he looked down and quivered in fear. He was covered in blood but didn't seem to be harmed. "Its okay, I'm not gonna hurt you." He said but the boy didn't look up he just sat there expecting Jecht to kill him. "Guys!" He yelled from the bathroom. "We've got a survivor!"

[Theseus]

Zander was seated in the back of the burger store, looking at the half-blood curiously as they entered. "Hmm, they don't seem to be too powerful, but... What would father do? Kill them, probably. Think like an Athenian, not a Spartan, Zander. I'd better follow them, just to see what they're doing."

 

Zander stood, walking out of the store, unnoticed to the rest of the campers standing in the room, observing bullets and bloodshed. He sat down outside, on the curb. His white hair blew in the wind as he looked around. "Hmm, that's strange. North winds don't blow this time of year..."

"Could he be a half blood?" Brian asked scooping up some cookies that had survived the bullets. "Theres still some food back here, if its not covered in blood" Brian knelt and looked at the boy. "Its okay were not going to hurt you, we just want to help." Brian held out his hand for the boy to hold and felt hurt when he flinched away. "It's okay were going to help you and find out what happened." Brian said putting his hand out further.

[Corvidae]

ooc: Even if the car is going over the speed limit? Plus, they can't track them anymore.

 

IC: Nikki ran in. Her eyes widened when she saw the small boy. 'What's your name?' She asked him. Then she threw down her dagger to the floor. 'I'm not going to hurt you.' She crooned.

 

Dante replied evenly, 'He has none. Thanks for the cookies. To Burger King instead!'

Then Dante saw that Damian hadn't finished the job yet. He wasn't finished with the store. Dante ran over to the box, and picked it up.

'Oh my gods!' He yelled, dropping the box to the floor. 'It's a greek firebomb! Bolt!!!' And he ran out of McDonalds.

ooC: Monsters can sense half-bloods, and Hell Hounds are monster equivalent of dogs who don't lose scent easy. And we couldn't go that much over the speed limit to loose dogs who run really fast, monsters have a different perception of distance....remember the centaurs, they ran like across the country!.

 

IC: Brian felt like he was being rude but he grabbed the boy and lifted him up and ran from the store as the wall exploded and 15 HellHounds burst into the store. As Jetch ran from the Restaurant the greekfirebomb exploded incinerating the rest of the restaurant and the Hellhounds in a shower of brown dust. Brian set the boy in the seat behind the driver and hoped in to it himself. Since he was faster than the rest he was naturally there before they were and he already had the engine revved and ready to go when they huffed inside themselves.

[Theseus]

Zander hopped on his motorcycle, tapping his wristband as a bow extended from it. A celestial bronze arrow appeared on the notch, and Zander aimed. He took his mark and hit, the hellhound's shoulder starting to turn to dust as Zander notched another arrow. "Father, guide this arrow that it may be powerful."

 

Zander hit the hellhound with the second arrow on the back of his legs, and it started whimpering and growling in pain. "I'd better hope those half-bloods aren't carrying any phones."

[Corvidae]

ooc: Centaurs can bend distances, that doesn't mean other monsters can.

 

IC: Nikki walked over to Zander, eybrows raised. 'Course we aren't holding any phones. All of those were destroyed a couple miles back, when we were attacked by harpies. Nikki Heartstrung, daughter of Athena.' And then she was gone, invisibly stolling along to the van.

 

Dante was eating the cookies they had salvaged inside the van, waiting for Nikki.

 

Diana and Zelkiax were walking along slowly, Diana leading him to nowhere in particular. She was just randomly walking. I don't know who this Damian guy is. Or why Zelkiax thinks I do. I'm just glad to be out of the underworld.

Jecht was the last to jump into the van. "Whoa, that was too close. You know I don't think I 'll ever look at a McDonald's the same ever again. I vote we go to BurgerKing next time." He said looking at the remains of the once friendly fast food place. Jecht looked down at the little boy who was huddled against the side of the car very scared. He whispered the to others, "What are we gonna do? He's to scared to answer us, He probably thinks were killers. Maybe he'll feel a little better if we give one of those cookies you found. If Dante doesn't eat 'em all first."

OoC: Why is Nikki and Dante just chilling get in the car we have to go.

 

IC: Brian hit the gas when Nikki hopped in. "That was close" He said swerving off the exit. "There should be a burger king around soon." He said. He grabbed the bag of cookies from Dante mid-bite while keeping one eye and hand on the road. "Here kid." Brian said handing the boy the cookies. He turned back to the road. The lights flashing as he drove down the highway. The sun was begining to shine on the horizon. "I wish all days were like this." He said. "except for the destroyed Fastfood places." He said.

[Theseus]

Zander followed the van, hiding right behind the van so they wouldn't be able to see him. His eyes focused on the van, his hand settling on the accelerate. He would keep driving behind them until he figured out where they were going. The Mountain of Despair, or possibly, the Underworld. I wonder which one we'll be going to...

 

"Hmm," he said to himself.

[Corvidae]

'Hey!' Dante objected. 'I'm hungry too here!'

Nikki laughed. Then she reached under her seat and drew a razor bladed discus. She pressed a hidden latch on the inside of the back window, and it opened. She flung the discus at Zander perfectly, and it wouldn't be long before the discus went right through his head. Then, not even bothering to see if her projectile hit its mark, Nikki closed the window and returned to her seat, smiling.

 

Diana randomly entered the Lotus Hotel in her search for Damian. Zelkiax followed her, and soon Diana was playing every game she could find, Zelkiax standing a ways away as he waited for her to lead him to Damian. Or... to do something else... He thought grimly. Something not completely different, yet much more helpful...

"Be quiet Dante. We'll get to BurgerKing in a second." Jecht looked at the child again and had an idea. "Guys, be quiet I got an idea." He said then began to sing very softly to him, this was the song he would sing whenever he felt over stressed with something and it let him relax. After a minute of singing the little boy began to calm down a little and started to munch on the cookies hungerily. Suddenly he noticed he wasn't at McDonald's anymore. "W-Where am I? who are you? Are you monsters?!" He asked beginning to become scared again.

I knew that song was special. Jecht thought to himself. "Don't worry we're not monsters." Looks like a demigod. "We're friends. My name's Jecht. What's yours?"

"I'm Chr-Chris." The small boy, known as Chris replied relaxing a little bit.

"Chris do you see monsters sometimes?"

"Yes! You sees them too?! My mommy says I'm just dreaming but I knows they is real."

"Whoa!" Brian exclaimed as the discuss left the van. "No killing people who are trying to drive nikki, how do you know its not a coincidence that he is taking every exit as us." Brian paused to think. "Well yea thats un likely, okay..." He looked at the little boy munching away at cookie after cookie. "You seem hungry for a boy that was trapped in a mcdonalds..." Brian laughed trying to raise the boy's mood, but no doubt he lost his parents and siblings in that restuarant.

[Corvidae]

Nikki smirked. 'If he's willing to break the 'No Stalking' Rule, then you can hardly blame me for breaking the 'No Killing' rule.' Then she gasped. "Nikki! Are you okay?"

"D-Desiree?" Nikki managed to reply with the empathy link. "Y-you're alive?"

"Just escaped the underworld, along with a camper called Diana and... Zelkiax."

"Zelkiax? No way he's back! Isn't Xaiklez holding him off?"

"She tried. He slipped around her defences by travelling through the underworld. He's looking for Damian. And he's also hoping that Diana will have inherited some of her father's prophetic genes."

"P-prophetic?"

"Future-telling. He wants her to tell him the prophecy about the Bow. He thinks Damian knows, but he wants to hear it for himself, I guess."

'Z-Zelkiax?' Nikki breathed aloud. 'How can he... the Bow... Thetis knows... Xaiklez...'

Brian nodded when he heard about the monsters. "Maybe he's a mortal who can see through the mist. And brian tried not to think about the more likely case. Brian glanced at Nikki who had a glazed over look on her face. "What is it Nikki?" He asked.Brian knew when Nikki had something going on things could get bad. Brian looked up at the sign. rest stop next exit Brian pulled over and took the exit. After finding a good spot he stopped the van. Brian unbuckled his seat belt and looked at Nikki dead on waiting for a response.

IC: Jecht looked at Nikki who was saying, what he thought, was pure nonsense. "Nikki, are you okay?" He asked concerned. "Is it one of your 'sisters'?" He noticed that they had stopped. Time for food. He thought compltely distracting himself from Nikki. "What's happened?" He asked returning from his wonderful fantasies about BurgerKing and finally getting some food and snapping back into reality.

[Corvidae]

ooc: Artemis just said the kid's name was Chris.

 

IC: "Meet me at the entrance to the underworld, I'll be there" Nikki concluded, and then answered his question. 'Call them counterparts. It's... Zelkiax. He's... if he's gotten past Xaiklez, there's no telling how powerful he is. And if he's saved Diana, he'll hold her to it, so she will be forced to tell him the prophecy. Assuming Titin gave him the right information, which is doubtful. But a daughter of Apollo is still a valuable tool, especially if she owes him for saving her from Hades. So he'll be back, and he'll try and get rid of Damian. And then us too. If Brian's got the Alkahest Blade, he's going to be the main target, for Damian, Zelkiax, and Titin all at once, not to mention Luke and Kronos, unless they're going for Thetis or Phobos, or even Polyphemus, but then they'd be stopped by Percy, unless he's killed, then we'd be in bigger trouble, because then Kronos'd get another chance to control the prophecy, unless Percy got saved while we were in the underworld on the quest, but then...' She trailed off.

OoC: I was typing my response while Artemis submitted his so i didn't read it...

 

IC: Brian raised his hands in defense. "I don't even have it." Brian raised his phone. "Its stored somewhere in cyberspace." Brian said hoping from the van. He considered it though he did have access to it but there was no way anyone else but the immediate group of Half-Bloods he was with knew that. "They'll never be able to get it. They need all of our finger prints, and a finger print of a god. Not a minor god though" Brian smirked. "Pretty fool proof eeh?"

[Corvidae]

'Not exactly' Nikki replied distractedly. 'Diana can easily get her father's fingerprint if Zelkiax asks her to, and it's not hard to get somebody's fingerprint if you know how.'

If Diana's helping Zelkiax, then that's another demigod against us, for a total of four on four. Us versus Diana, Zelkiax, Titin, and Damian. Unless Scathe helps his family, and allies with Damian and Titin. Auggh! There're so many variables! Nikki yawned. She hadn't gotten much sleep in a while. Not since Camp, except for the hour nap she'd had before Desiree was killled. And she'd been up all night last night creating a new weapon. So that's about one hour of sleep in the past maybe thirty hours.

"But they'd also have to get my phone. And we all know." Brain zoomed to the side. "And that'd be hard to do. Besides only I know the access codes." He walked away. "And who's Diana's father?" Brian looked at the Burger King. "At least this one is not destroyed." brian said thankfully. He scanned through his phone and a twenty and a ten appeared in his hand. "I'll pay for you guys c'mon lets go eat."

[Corvidae]

'Apollo.' Nikki yawned. 'You guys go on ahead, I'm not hungry.'

'Suit yourself.' Dante got out. 'Finally, dinner!' And he ran in.

 

When Zelkiax had managed to get Diana out of the Lotus Hotel, he said to her, 'Hurry, I have to find him soon.'

Diana's eyes glazed over.

Work hard but work wrong, for your foes are strong,

If Xaiklez fails, your life won't last long

The javelin's gone, guarded by a great beast,

Nobody defeated him, then took his Fleece,

The magical scepter, it can't be found when,

Your foe has it hidden, away from heaven,

The Bow with it's arrow is easy to find;

But only with help from the goddess who's blind,

She collapsed, and Zelkiax smiled. Interesting prophecy. But it's typically incorrect. If that blasted Xaiklez fails, I will become immortal and invulnerable!

Desiree froze. It's not a prophecy for him, it's for... us. That prophecy is for camp half-blood. I've got to tell somebody! She ran off to DOA Recording Studios to get Marissa. She needed to hear this, too.

Jecht couldn't resist the temptation of burger and ran inside after Brian and Dante with Chris following behind. The place was deserted. He went up to the counter and ordered a double chesseburger.

"I'm sorry, we cannot sell that item anymore." She said her nose twitching. Jecht looked behind her and didn;t see anyone there except her.

"Ummm, were is everyone?" Jecht asked curiously while Chris was looking around at the completely empty resturant. He tugged on Jecht's shirt and he leaned down.

"Monsters." He said his voice filled with fear.

"Huh? What do you mean monsters?" He whispered and Chris pointed up at the person working the register. Before Jecht could react the girl jumped over the counter and grabbed Jecht.

"Don't move half-bloodsssss." She said eyeing the others. Then jecht notice that one of her legs was hairy resembling a donkey.

[Corvidae]

Dante yelled. 'Empousa! Then he drew his blades. 'Why is it that every time we go into a restaurant somebody tries to kill us?' He shook his head. 'It's really too bad.'

Nikki got out of the van. She saw the monster attacking Jecht, and she shook her head. Then she grabbed her ring and dagger, and turned invisible. She also grabbed another razor discus, and threw it through the window, which shattered loudly. Everyone in the restaurant jumped back. In the confusion, Nikki vaulted through the window and flung her knife through the empousa's skull.

Right before the Empousa disenergated she dug her sharp nails across Jecht's face. He yelled and grabbed his face blood leaking onto his hands. He ran into the bathroom to see the damage. First he grabbed as papertowels and wet tthem, putting them over the five long, deep wounds aross the right side of his face. He reached into his pocket and drank some of the necter. Jecht slowly removed the now bloody paper towels from his face, revealing five slightly bleeding scrachtes on his face. If one was just a little longer his eye could have been gouged out. He knew they were serious and they would most likely scar. His mind turned to the dragon claw scar on Luke's face.

[Corvidae]

'Jecht!' Nikki yelled as she saw his injury. She ran in after him, forgetting she was still invisible. She was taken aback at how deep the injuries were. Nikki reached into her pocket, trying to find something, anything that could heal Jecht. There was nothing. She returned to the main area. 'Brian, use the Sword on him. Alkahest can heal any wound.' She became visible. It was easy to see how shaken she was. 'Even those which Nectar and Ambrosia cannot.'

 

Damian shot an arrow at Scathe, hidden on the roof of the restaurant. The arrow found it's mark, right above the knee, never even noticed until the tranquilizing agent on the arrowhead immediately made Scathe unable to move. Damian jumped down and ran over to the car. 'Come on, Uncle. You're brother wanted to talk to you.' And Damian picked up the limp Scathe and ran to the trees, dropping a mortal cherry bomb behind him.

 

Xaiklez was standing in front of the lake at camp half-blood, trying to figure out how Zelkiax had escaped her trap.
