'D-Desiree!!' Nikki wailed again. 'Sh-She's GONE!!' And Nikki burst into tears again.

 

Dante walked out of the restauraunt. He saw Nikki bawling, and also saw a young man with silver hair and a scimitar doing battle with a cyclops. He ran over to the van, and threw Omega, his white longsword, through the cyclops' chest, watching it disintegrate as his blade clattered to the ground. Then he ran over to see what was happening in the van.

 

Damian bought a cheesburger with a side of fries and, diet root beer to drink, at McDonald's(My brother paid me $20 to say that), then stabbed the mortal who served him with a steel knife. He then brought out his machine gun, loaded with mortal iron bullets, and opened fire, laughing maniacally as every mortal in the restaurant died.

Jecht looked up at Brian and Dante for some help because he didn't know what to do so he did what he knew how to do . . . he began to sing. He kinda just made it up as he went along. It was more of a high-pitched lullaby. There wasn't any words but the notes themselves were very soothing and calm. He was the son of Apollo though wasn't he? Jecht continued to sing as his eyes were closed and rocked Nikki gentally like she was a small baby that he was trying to make go to sleep. Desiree? Gone? Who? I guess the cards didn't lie but why did it work when I used Nikki's name?

Brandon explained himself before the court and they looked down on him doubtfully. "You've not gone on any heroic quests, or saved any lives, and you wish to be put in the Elysian Fields? You would not normally fit the credit for a hero, except the fact that you are a half-blood and you died trying to help save your camp," Jefferson said doubtful.

 

"And he's not exactly worthy material," Minos added, with a grimace. "Do you object to sending him to the Asphodel Fields, Julius?"

 

"No, Minos, I do not," the third figure, Julius Caesar, said looking down at Brandon. "In my life, this boy would have made lion food, not hero material. Aeneas-"

 

"Yes, yes Aeneas this and that. He's all you talk about," Minos groaned. "Brandon Faye, you are to be put in the Asphodel Fields until you are judged worthy."

[Prexxor]

"Who? How?" said Scathe. He honestly wasn't sure how the cyclops had just been vaporized, but he didn't care; he was just happy that he wasn't being attacked anymore. He pulled out power suit, a tiny toy robot of his, and yelled "Tomba!" He then went to wreak havoc on innocent mortals. It was right about then that he realized that after his friend had turned into the cyclops, he was alone without a friend or a target in the world. He was curious about the man that had killed the cyclops, Dante Brimston, so he went towards the van. "Uh... hi, thanks for saving me back there." He said.

[Corvidae]

'No problem' Dante replied calmly. Then he went over to grab his blade. 'Who're you? I'm Dante Brimston, son of Aphrodite, demigod extroardinaire.'

 

Nikki continued her heart-wrenching sobbing, 'He - he k-killed her!! Desi-Desiree!' Jecht's attempts were to no avail.

 

It was Diana's turn to be judged. She quickly reached Asphodel, and then it was time for Nikki.

'Desiree Heartstrung, daughter of Apate, prepare to be judged.'

But there was a slight problem with her judging.

'Elysium, for assisting during the battle with Titin over the alkahest blade.'

'Punishment fields, for attempting to use the alkahest blade for your own reasons.'

'Asphodel, for not living against Olympus nor dying for it.'

 

The judges could not agree. They debated where to put Nikki for many hours, but none of the judges would be swayed from their position. Finally, Nikki made a suggestion. 'I'll stay here helping Charon with the ferry until you decide where I should go.' All of the judges liked this idea, so they accepted, and Nikki was made Charon's apprentice.

Meanwhile, at camp, the three bodies had been discovered. The funeral was set. Everybody was at the funeral. The tone was mellow. Nobody knew what happened, or why. Or at least, Harry didn't. He was completely confused. Maybe the person who attack me with centaur blood did this. he thought.

"Yes, that is my best guess about what happened." Mr D walked up. He had the unusual ability of knowing what Harry was thinking.

 

OoC: Why were they killed exactly???

OoC:They were killed because they were in the attic when whatever his name was and he killed him.

 

IC: Brian stepped into the van. "Whos Desiree?" Brian asked looking around the van. "Wait," He stepped up to the driver's seat and felt around. There was a person there all right. Girl. Ooops Brian thought pulling his hand back. He felt around for the hand, and surely enough he felt the ring Nikki wore. He pulled it off and A girl was slumped in the driver seat. Brian gasped. It was Nikki. "But how?" He asked glancing at Nikki shivering in Jetch's Arms.

Brandon lied on his back, looking up at the cavernous ceiling. The others in the Asphodel Fields went about a normal, boring afterlife, but he knew that he was only waiting. Waiting for Elysium where he could have whatever he wanted. There's supposed to be a fountain where you can be reborn from, but I don't want to go back to earth as a child, not with Kronos around. Who knows, I may not even be a half-blood next go-around? Brandon thought.

Jecht looked up at Brian seeing his song wasn't working. "Someone start this car!" He said knowing they had to leave form the underworld. When the car didn't started he looked up and saw Nikki in the front seat. He was confused for a moment and he looked from the driver, Nikki, to Nikki in his arms. "What have you done now?!" He asked himself. He looked around not knowing what was going on. "Get Dante and get the 'second' Nikki I guess back here. We can figure it out later but right now we've gotta leave! We're taking a vist to the underworld."

Brian put the ring in his phone and pushed the Unconcious Nikki into the back next to Whimpering nikki and started the car. He blew the horn several times for dante to get in and then waited, Looking at Jetch for reassurance. He searched the radio. My tourettes is acting up again He thought as he turned the steering wheel to each side settaling on a good alt rock station to listen to. Thnks fr th mmrs Blasted throught the radio as he waited semi-patiently.

Jecht nodded at Brian. "You do know how to drive a car. Right?" He listened to he music. "Really? This?" He sighed and rolled his eyes. They had more important things to attend to than the music station. He rolled down the window and and stuck his head out. "DANTE! GET IN HERE!" He shouted." THen he rolled the window up and put his arms around Nikki hoping to comfort her in some way, murmering "Its okay." every minute or two. He looked at the cards again. The Death card showed up when he said Nikki's name. THen he found there were two Nikki's. The one who was driving was still alive but unconious. Could there be a possiblity of a third one? And how are there even two.

"Yea, I think...My mom tried teaching me but i was a bit impatient, but I did manage to go a few minutes without crashing." Brian said revving the engine and he gave a sly joking smile. Brian changed the station, "Well what would you like to hear? I don't care much for that song either but..." He stopped when he heard a grunting and a roar. He looked at the side veiw mirror and saw The minitour rubbing his feet against the ground."Oh sheet." Brian said as he hit the gas. "We'll get Dante later but first, whos up for bull racing?" He said screeching the car through the gas station.

Dante got in right before the car left. 'What the? Nikki's in two...?'

 

The Nikki driving the car woke. Then she saw that she was visible. 'Oh, gods no. Where's my ring? Who took my ring?!'

The other Nikki opened her eyes, red from tears. Then she saw that their driver was visible. 'No... not now... Desiree... She's gone...'

The driving Nikki replied sadly, 'I know... I know... She's gone. There's nothing we can do about that. But Desiree's tough. She can handle her own. I have a feeling we've not seen the last of her. A trip to the underworld won't stop her. Nothing can. Otherwise we'd go, too.' Her expression hardened. 'Now, who took my ring!?'

Brandon sat in wait, for the judges to call him back, when suddenly, a postman appeared in front of him as if by magic. He had a calm face on and was talking into a caduceus mobile, again. Hermes was standing in front of Brandon for the second time since he entered the Underworld. "Lord Hermes," Brandon said, nodding from the ground, sitting in attention now.

 

"Sorry to bring you the bad news Brandon," Hermes said, looking at his clipboard, his hand flitting over the keyboard of his phone as his other hand skimmed over the clipboard. "Brandon Faye, age 16, son of Apollo and Molly Faye, you have been sentenced to the Asphodel Fields for the reason that Minos, Julius, and Jefferson have decided that you are unworthy of the Elysian Fields, because you 'did no deeds of extraordinary heroic during your time in the mortal world.' Bad luck, but I've got to go."

Brian sped past the guys refilling their tanks and waved a sorry. He exited the rest area and sped down the parkway toward Pennsylvania. "Anyone want to take care of that minitour?" Brian asked swarving letting the bull pass by. He turned hard and rammed the minitour on the side sending him tumbling into the forest along the side of the road. "It looks like we'll have to out run him." Brian pulled out his phone. "Lets see what else this thing can do." He pushed a button. "Hello, George security system activated please deposut one rat. "Oh not now!" Brian rolled his eyes and Martha must've bit George because he groaned before the phone turned into the caduces and flew out the window and floated alongside the van blasting the minitour as it flew along.

Jecht was looking around in confusing thinking. Wtf is going on? "Don't worry were going to the underworld. Were not going down with a fight." He said to Nikki trying to reassure her. He rolled down the window and strung his bow. He thought he was giong to be sick with the car swerving like that. He tapped the arrow tip to his jade necklace and caught flame immedatily. He fired at the minotuar but missed, a very poor shot. Jecht thought about what Nikki had told him before. Aim down, point up. The car made another sharp turn. "BRIAN! IF WE CHRASH!" He took aim and fired hitting the minotuar. It was taken back for a moment , giving them a chance to get ahead, but ripped the arrow out and patted out the fire like it was a single spark. Jecht tapped an arrow to his necklace and the tip turned a greenish color. Pioson tipped. This time when he aimed the car swerved and he fell. The only thing holding him in the car was his feet putting as much pressure as he could against the roof, he was almost touching the ground. He yelled as he waist up out of the window.

Nikki, the one who wasn't in tears, grabbed Jecht's legs as he nearly fell out of the window. She pulled him in as best she could, and then, with help from Dante, managed to get Jecht inside. 'To Hades with it!' Nikki yelled, then she opened the door and jumped out. 'Bring it on!' She yelled, and then drew her dagger.

'Wait! Nikki!' Dante cried.

'Leave...them...ALONE!!' She screamed in fury, her eyes glowing with an infernal golden light. As Nikki brandished her stiletto, a pulse of pure energy rippled through the air. The minotaur froze dead in its tracks, and everyone in the car was knocked back. Nikki was no longer holding a jeweled dagger; She was holding a gleaming golden Lance, radiating energy. 'I am not Nikki! And I WILL avenge Desiree! Even if it means obliterating every monster on the planet to kill Damian!!' She ran towards the minotaur, and was promptly knocked twenty feet away by a huge fist. She got up again, her wounds healing instantly. She yelled in hatred, and threw the Javelin straight through the beast, which desintigrated, the Alkahest Lance turning back into her jeweled knife. Nikki fell unconcious to the ground, her counterpart whimpering silently in the van.

Brian slammed on the brakes and pulled off into the shoulder hopping out of the car. He hit the side button and the alkahest blade flashed a bright gold. "Yup, thats an alkhahest weapon." He said pocketing the phone and picking up the Juled blade. It turned into a Javelin and Brian marveled at it. "What do we do with this one? I'd hate to take her stilleto knife but i also don't think we can leave this Javelin lying around." Brian got an idea. "This one will be opened solely by Nikki, or whoever that is." He said taking the finger print of the unconcious girl and placing a watch on her wrist. "Lets get her into the car and get to LA."

Mr D left after saying this. He told the camp he was headed for Olympus. The gods would need to know that their children were under attack. Tantalus, meanwhile, tried to return the camp to order. After the funeral, everyone was to return to their regular activities. For Harry, this wasn't hard. He hadn't known any of the people who died very well. So he went back to his cabin and pulled out a book. It was a book of mythology. He looked up various things that could fit this attack, but they were all monsters.

The spear turned back into a dagger. Nikki got out of the car and ran to the unconcious girl. 'Marissa! No, not you too. No, please no... Don't go.' She turned to Brian. 'She... she used up all her energy to summon the Javelin. Now she's out of energy, and so is her dagger.' Nikki quietly picked up the knife. It flickered weakly, seeming to be a lance one moment, a knife the next. 'It's not an Alkahest Item any longer. It's a simple dagger. It's useless. As useless as it was before-' Her voice cracked. 'Before it changed. She gave her life to give us the temporary power of an Alkahest weapon. That's what the Lance does. It switches things. It just switched itself with the dagger, and back again, using up Marissa's life force to do so. She gave her life to kill that minotaur. She gave her life to save ours. To give us a chance to avenge Desiree's death, and now her's as well. She gave her life to help us destroy him. And I intend to destroy him. Damian Shaadler will pay. I'm the only one left. Desiree and Marissa are gone. Does this mean I'm back to normal? Or am I now still Nikki?' She paused. 'No. I am not Nikki. Any more than Marissa was. It doesn't matter any more. I'm not whole. I'm... I'm a ghost. Two thirds dead, one third barely surviving. If I die... Then maybe we can be together one last time.' She started crying softly, her tears dropping silently to the pavement, her shoulders shaking lightly.

OoC: I stored the dagger...WTF how did u pick it up.

 

IC: Brian shook his head. "This is too much, noone was supposed to die, well except for the two from the prophecy. But that girl..." he said gesturing to Dead Nikki. "She wasn't part of the quest, or was she?" Brian shuffled his feet. " C'mon lets bury her, don't worry nikki we'll look for her in the underworld. Im sure she got Elysian." Brian took a deep breath and looked at his phone. "C'mon dad, just this once" He hit the butoton and the phone turned into a Shovel. "Or do u mind burning her Nikki?"

ooc: She used the watch from the dead girls wrist to get it. They have the same fingerprints; They're the same person.

 

IC: 'Marissa is the person from the prophecy. She is part of the quest. You, Me, her, Jecht, and Dante are the five from the prophecy. And the two who are gone... Marissa and Desiree don't count. Neither of them are a whole person. The lost two are Diana and Brandon, two campers. They were shot by Damian Shaadler, the horrible man who killed Desiree as well. The prophecy has come true. But... Marissa and Desiree aren't a person. Not if I'm still alive. They are dead, but not lost. Not unless all three of us go. And Marissa wouldn't get Elysium. She's the violence of us. Desiree should get Elysium, I'm getting Asphodel, and Marissa... she'll be in the fields of punishment. When... when I - we became three, Our emotions were... split. Desiree felt the happiness of three, I have thrice more sorrow than any others, and Marissa is more violence and anger. She was angered by Alban, Harry, twice now you, Brian, and now... now she's gone. Use the sword on her. Use it to destroy what's left of her. Alkahest killed her soul, so Alkahest should kill her body. But first, return her ring. Please.' And then Nikki placed the dagger in the dead girl, Marissa's pocket. 'Right where it belongs.' She breathed. Then she stood up and shed a single tear, which landed on the emerald inset in Marissa's dagger, just visible sticking out of her pocket. 'Give her the ring and then destroy her.' She said sadly.

Brian hit the button and with one swift motion brought the blade down in her chest the ring falling from his hand as the body disintigrated. The sword blinked red and turned to the phone. "I guess I can only use it shortly till the fingerprints wear off." Brian looked sadly at the phone. He hoped in the car and started the engine again, promising to drive safer now that there were no crazy minitour's chasing them. He turned the radio station to something good but soft as to not make Nikki too upset.

Jecht has ran out of ht car after the others and listened as Nikki explained. "Well, as much as I'd hate to say it, their deaths were inveitable." Jecht stepped up beside Nikki. "Don't worry, Nikki, we'll see them/you again." He looked into her eyes reassuringly. "I'll make sure of it, personally, I promise." He said then looked up where the body used to be. "WEll, see them again." He whispered and then got a burst of energy for some reason. "OH HAdes yeah we'll see them!!!" He almost yelled. "Let's go but this time I'm choosing the radio station." He said half sarcasticly but mostly serious.

Brandon wandered around the Asphodel Fields, nothing especially exciting happening. It was just nothing. Brandon was bored with being dead, and there was no way he'd be getting any good excitement in the Asphodel Fields. He felt around in his pocket, and pulled out a drachma, which looked dark in the little light of darkness.

 

He looked around. The closest thing that could provide an Iris Message was going to be the Styx, but Brandon didn't know how he'd get out of the Asphodel Fields with Cerberus standing right outside the gates. Souls filed through the gates, all in, but no one out.

 

From where Brandon was standing, he could see Elysium, a tiny island compared to the large landmass of the Asphodel Fields. Theseus was sitting in the light which seemed to hang over the island, compared to the darkness of the rest of the island. Hercules was throwing a discus over the island. Brandon sighed, lying back down. "Nothing to do," he complained.

 

"That's because you're in the Asphodel Fields," a voice said in his head. "Shut up," he told himself.
