Raina the Light Charmer

Recommended Posts

My friend I don't use meta decks. I perfer to "upgrade" fun decks and try to make them competitive. I am making a Spirit Opression and trying to add some Anti-Meta stuff to my Six Sam deck.

That's good to hear' date=' I respect anyone who doesn't use Meta-Decks, their overused :P. I myself try to use a Tempest Burn Deck.

[/quote']

You two are awesome. I don't like using meta either. I actually dismantled my Blackwing deck because I like running meta decks. I prefer Aliens over everything.

As for Raina, I'm not sure what exactly to say. Being LIGHT gives her Honest and the ability to control Lightsworns or JD, but that isn't too much since JD would blow the Charmer up.

As for the Dharc gender debate, the Germans call Dharc a "Zauberer" (male Charmer) and the French call Dharc a "Charmeuse" (female Charmer). The panish agree with the French, calling Dharc an "Encantadora" (female Enchanter/Charmer). Strange, huh?

same here! I don't like meta either... although I am slightly clueless on what the meta is, but I'm pretty sure I don't play it... well ok my gladiator beast deck may be an exception, but it's not my favorite deck...

am I the only one who feels raina looks drastically different from the other 5, as if she doesn't belong?

lol, She does?, the only thing I see different from the others, is her coat has a green color to it, then again, Dharc's is a grayish color.

Oh yeah, the Meta thing usually refers to a deck everybody seems to use, Example: Blackwing, Lightsworn.

Well if you pull the combo of Set Charmer>>>>>>Activate Book of Taiyou, you can take JD, mind you if you use it's effect your opponent will get it again, so if you can keep Raina out, you'll have your own 3000 Beatstick that kills your deck.

Guess we'll have to wait for the next thing that said Pikeru and Curran were Twin Sisters before we can be 100% sure, or if Familiar-Possessed - Dharc manages to come out before it does :P.

lol, Well that's mainly cause I suck at editing and tried to place Raina over where the fan-made Light Charmer was :P.

But cause of what ya said, I'll post all of 'em in a Spoiler so we all can compare the original 4 to the two new ones :P.

[spoiler=]HiitatheFireCharmerDR3-EN-C-UE.jpgEriatheWaterCharmerDR3-EN-C-UE.jpg

WynntheWindCharmerDR3-EN-C-UE.jpgAussatheEarthCharmerDR3-EN-C-UE.jpg

DharctheDarkCharmerTDGS-EN-C-UE.jpg35lxceq.jpg

Now it's a little easier to tell, by comparison, that Raina is a girl :P.

Hm, I don't see anything that different, her hair and eyes seems to match like the others. It isn't her thigh-high socks cause on the art of Blazing Hiita (Japanese) you can see she wears something like them to. The shorts ain't it, Aussa wears them.

The only two things I see that would make her different, is that her coat is greenish, and she has a bracelet/cuff thing on her wrist like Dharc, along with bandages, and the fact that her staff hand seems to have a glove on while the other doesn't :P.

Edit: She also seems to like Copying Eria's pose XD.

What sex has breasts? Female?

Fat men have them' date=' too.

And as for that Jain and BLS thing earlier, look at their faces. And the chest guards. No men have ones that are that large.

[/quote']

Lol, fatties.

The chest guard argument is mute. That is armor. Many medieval armor designs incorporated extra spacing in the chest area to act as a crumple zone during the early era that some uncouth armies preferred large maces over swords. The design became ornamently popular among blacksmiths and weaponsmiths, and so became decorative. The large chest area on BLS and Jain is not a result of their sex. A non-Yugioh example of the decorative spacing is on the armor Alphonse Elrick's soul is bound to in Fullmetal Alchemist. That armor is based on a typical Eastern-European design, as components of BLS and Jain's armors are.

But you also ignored the major way to tell their gender. (FACES!)

Nothing to determine.

Anime men AND women have short AND long hair. And neither of their adam's apples are visible.

But you're not looking at the faces. A gender of a normal person can be told by the jawline, cheeks, mouth, nose, or eyes.

how do you tell one's gender from their face? I never figure it out from just that...

Those features are arguably indifferent on anime drawings, and can even be unisex in themselves, depending on the person.

There are no gender-specific visible features on these 2 cards.

Jain's eyes are obviously femenine and BLS's jawline is more femenine than male jawlines.

That is an assumption based on the personal viewpoint of the viewer. It is not factual.

To me, they both could be male. Or female. I can see both, but not one more than the other. There simply aren't enough facts for me to base my own conclusion on. Therefore, I will mark them as asexual.

I think the word you're looking for is Androgynous.

Anyway, the Light Charmer's appeared at last.

Excellent.

Not that I'll ever use any of them (probably) but I've decided to collect all of the Charmers, because they're cheap and I have no money, but I like them.

Not to bring up the argument again, but to me, I can clearly see a small outline of breasts on Raina, so she has to be a girl :P *is shot for bringing up the Argument*.

I've used a Charmers deck' date=' its just hard to find ways to make them good while using them all (I guess you don't need to use them all, i just like doing so x.o)

[/quote']

Mainly cause they don't got the support they need to be strong/better.

Despite that, I can't say i've never won with my Charmers deck. I do wish they had some more support. I suppose they were just there to counter those specific attributes, but them having their own working archetype together would be great.

I've always liked the Charmers though and i'm glad Light is finally represented, though maybe not enough to call myself the #1 Charmer Fan and have a banner for them :3c

Give me a Charmer Synchro (maybe better yet, a Contact Fusion using "Charmer" + "Monster it is charming", either 1 Specific one or 6 different ones based on the elements and special abilities, easier ways to Special Summon them face-down, reusable ways to change your opponent's Attributes, anything :3c I think a contact fusion would be better, considering Charmers seem to take a good amount of monster spots that using spots for tuners may not be so great.

Hm, that gives me a idea for a potential card XD,
