1 DARK Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Fiend-Type monsters

Once per turn' date=' activate by removing from play 1 Level 6 or lower DARK Effect Monster in your Graveyard. Until this turn's End Phase, this card is treated to have the same name as the removed Effect Monster and gains the same effect(s). Also, when this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, add 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster from your Deck to your hand.[/quote'][/align]

I would use this card's Effect to give it Relinquish's effect.

That would be a terrible combo. Relinquished's effect states its ATK and DEF -becomes- equal to the equipped monster's, so you would likely be WEAKENING this monster.

And wow, the anime version was broken beyond belief, being able to copy all the effects simultaneously. That said, this card could be used pretty easily in Infernity, but they have Infernity Death Dragon, which makes this card hard to summon and superfluous. It could be cool to steal Infernity Destroyer, Infernity Beast, Infernity Guardian (especially Infernity Guardian), or Infernity Dwarf's effect, but that might be trying a bit too hard.

I notice that it doesn't lose its effect at the End Phase like Phantom of Chaos does, but evn then I can't see this card being too useful, since the Synchro material is so specific. And the effect to add an Earthbound Immortal when destroyed is kind of pointless, but I guess if you run Immortals, you might get a kick out of this. But why anyone would dedicate the effort to summon this for the EI perk is beyond me. I guess they're just trying to give it some semblence of its anime incarnation.

Huh...how did I overlook that the first time?

So it's a level 8 Synchro requiring a Dark tuner and a fiend non-tuner, has 3000 ATK and has Phantom of Chaos' effect for level 6 or below Dark monsters, but thankfully can deal battle damage. Oh, and when it dies it gets you an Earthbound Immortal from your deck.

I can understand the toning down of the effect, but did they REALLY need to make it so hard to summon?

Does anyone else despise the English name? It's so awkward compared to "One-Hundred Eyes Dragon".

Technically, Dark Synchros could slip under Gravity Bind and the like.

But the level reasons alone aren't enough to completely chop the testicles off a great idea entirely. Konami got paranoid and chose to let that paranoia get in the way of our enjoyment of a fun new game mechanic. One that, by all means and applied anime logic, worked.

Actually, it doesn't copy the ATK and DEF, just the effect and name, so that might be worth it. Oh, something I need to ask. If you use this cards "copy" ability, does that mean that that effect stays with it, and you can't use it's "when destroyed" effect?
