"Certamente! I never meant to insult you, love. I will go along with your plan. I will take the hunter who is..." he sniffed, and turned his head, "hiding in a tree at the moment. Do not worry about me, I will be fine. Now, please try not to kill the hunter, if at all possible." He licked Aura's ear, then kissed her. "I will see you when I have taken care of my target." Clawfang turned from her, and began walking toward the tree containing the hunter. He growled, showing his teeth.

 

Rick watched the wolf making its way to him. It was the same one from earlier. Good, I can finally kill that one. He watched the female wolf move in the other direction. He figured all the better for him if his target's mate was not around.

Sean jumps through the tree branches, getting closer and closer. He then smelled another werewolf. It had appeared to be with ClawFang. Tonight is my lucky hunting night! he thought. He began to move closer and closer until he got a visual of the two. He then hid himself and move around so ClawFang can't get a good location to where he is.

Aura moved towards her cabin, but she then doubled back once she was sure she was out of sight of the hunter.

She circled around until she was sure she was in the hunter's blind spot, and downwind of the human, and started to creep towards her prey.

Clawfang sniffed. There was another human approaching. He looked back at Aura as she moved in the opposite direction. He would not bother her with these hunters. He could take care of them himself. He stalked toward the tree with the hunter, and stopped at the bottom. Though he could not climb, he was strong, and began headbutting the tree, trying to knock it down.

 

Rick grabbed hold of a branch as the wolf began butting the tree. It began leaning toward the ground. Rick realized he had to exploit this opportunity; he reached to his belt, and pulled a silver knife. He held it out over the wolf, and dropped it.

Just then, Rick felt pain rushing though his gut as a blood-stained claw protruded from his gut.

"Don't move, or I'll twist my paw, and there goes several of your organs. Now, tell your buddy to call it off, or I'm going to find out what a human heart tastes like! I never got to, no thanks to the other members of my pack, but I guess I'm going to get the chance!"

Of course, Aura was bluffing about the heart-eating thing, but she assumed that the hunter wouldn't be able to tell the members of one pack from another, and therefore he thought that she would eat him.

And she was serious about shredding his digestive tract.

Rick gasped at the pain. "B-buddy?" he gurgled. "What buddy? I'm the only one here, other than you wolves. Besides you're too late, wolf. I already dropped a silver knife on your friend." Rick laughed, not caring what happened to himself anymore. Suddenly, there was a howl of pain that came from below.

 

Clawfang howled as the knife buried itself in his leg. The silver burned, as if it was on fire. He pushed harder against the tree, and looked up. What he saw shocked him. There was his mate, Aura, with a claw through the hunter.

Aura gasped, and growled in anger as she bit at his neck, then tore out Rick's jugular vein as she removed her paw from the dying hunter, taking his intestines with her.

She then leapt down from the tree to her mate.

"ClawFang! Are you alright?!?"

Rick fell to the ground, dying. Clawfang saw him, and, ignoring Aura for the moment, grabbed the man in his jaws. He limp-ran to the nearest town, and hospital, and dropped the hunter off in front of it. Then he ran back to Aura. He stopped, and winced as he put his injured leg down. "I will survive. Thank you for saving me, even though you had to do those things to that man. You know how much I hate killing." He turned his head back, and licked the wound on his leg. The knife still protruded from it, and it continued to bleed. The silver only made the wound worse. "Let us go back to your cabin. There I will be able to take care of my leg in safety."

Aura hoisted one of ClawFang's arms over her shoulder, and they slowly limped towards her cabin as the moon started to set.

"Why did you save him? He deserved what he did to you! And I don't think merely dropping him off at the nearest hospital would help him! I tore out a good portion of his throat, and most of his intestines are gone! He's going to die, and the world will be a better place without him!"

"But you want to know something strange?"

Clawfang looked at Aura as they made their way to her cabin. "I am sorry, but I think that everyone deserves to live, no matter what they do. I think it is pure evil to rob a creature of its most precious of belongings: its life. I know you do not agree with me, and I am fine with that. I do not care what you think about killing. All I care about is what you think about me. Now, what is it you were going to say to me?" He smiled at Aura with love, and kissed her deeply.

"Well, it's a bit odd, but, when I tore out his jugular, something deep down inside me...well..."

She just stopped for a second.

"I don't know how exactly to describe it other than...it felt...good...to want to kill him. A very tiny part of me enjoyed seeing the blood gush from his neck like water from a fountain and to see his intestines dangling from the gaping hole in his stomach. Is this normal for werewolves to have that tiny little piece of them that likes bloodshed?"

"It probably is normal, although I have never had such a feeling. I do not think it really matters at the moment though." He kissed her again, then smiled. "Again, I do not care what you think of such matters. Ti amo, my love. And nothing will destroy that love. Nothing in the world will separate us, not even death." He winced as he put his leg down. "This leg pains me greatly. I cannot wait until we reach your cabin, and I can rest, and bandage the area."

Aura brushed away a branch as they reached the cabin.

"Well, here we are agan. Let's get you inside and get bandaged. The night is almost over, and you need all the time you can get your paws on to heal your wounds while the moon is out."

She opened the door, and set ClawFang on her bed as she went into the adjoining bathroom to get a specially-made first-aid kit.

"This was designed by a subcontractor for my father's company. It was originally designed for me, but I think it can work on any werewolf. So, I hope you like needles, because I have an silver poisoning neutralizer with yor name on it!"

Clawfang lay on the bed. He nodded, then stopped. "Just a moment." He reached down, grasped the knife with his paw, and pulled it out. There was a spurt of blood, and Clawfang's hands began to burn. He yelped, and tossed the knife away. "Alright. I am ready for anything that you can give me, Aura. I trust and love you, and I know that anything you do to me will only be done for love." He looked at her, and smiled. He would have kissed her if he could; but he sufficed by looking longingly at her.

Aura then closed her eyes, and concentrated.

The fur receeded as her muscles retracted back into her body. Her face rearranged itself to look normal again, and, within half a minute, Dominique looked human, albeit naked.

"There. Now I can use my human fingers to get you back into shape. Just stay still." Dominique was human, but her eyes still had a feral glare to them and her face looked a bit off. She still had pronounced upper canines, wolven ears, and a lupine tail wagging behind her, as well claws and slight pads on her hands and feet.

"I've been testing this out, and I can now shift into this form, a more humanoid appearance that still has most of my normal werewolf enhancements without the need for a full transformation." Dominique explained as she injected a clear liquid into ClawFang's forearm, which caused the burning of the silver-laced wound to cease. "Unfortunately, I can only use this for a short time before reverting back to whatever form I was originally in, and if I come into contact with moonlight again, I will shift back into a werewolf." She paced several pads on ClawFang's leg, then wrapped it in gauze.

"There we go! Good as new!"

Clawfang sighed as the liquid spread through his body. The burning in his leg receded to a bearable itch. "Ahh, I cannot tell you how good that feels, Dominique. And the experience is made all the better thanks to the one who administered it to me." Clawfang stood, and transformed back to his human form. The bandage changed with him, molding to his new form. Jason limped over to Dominque, and kissed her hard on the lips. "I love you, my beauty."

The moon had just disappeared behind the nearest mountain ridge as Jason approached his mate. Dominique concentrated again, and her ears, eyes, hands, and feet returned to normal as her tail and fangs disappeared into her body.

"Even in both of the languages I speak, I can never fully express how much I love you, but, to me, je t'aime is a perfectly good substitute."

She then softly pushed him back onto the bed.

"Ready for Round 2?"

"It is the same for me," Jason said from the bed. He reached out, and pulled Dominique down on top of him. "I will always be ready for you, my dear. Ti amo, and I always will." Jason kissed Dominique, and held the kiss for as long as he could. When he pulled away, he was panting. "I hope you're ready for me, Dominique...Everything about you is perfect: your body, your person, your color, your name. I wish we could be together like this forever."

"You do realize that we COULD be together, right?"

Before Jason could protest, Dominique rushed to her closet and held something behind her back.

"I planned on doing this sometime in the near-future, but I quess this is as good of a time as any."

She whipped out a small black box, and opened it up to reveal a golden band that looked large enough to survive the werewolf transformation.

"Jason, will you marry me?"

Jason stood up and walked over to her. He took the small box from her hands, laid it on the bed behind him, and kissed her. He kissed her for what felt like hours, even though it was probably only a minute or two. After he kissed her, he reached back, picked up the box, and looked into Dominique's eyes. "Yes. I would love to marry you. Oh, my darling!" He set the box down, and pulled her in close to him. "I have been waiting for this moment my whole life. We shall be wed as soon as possible...But how shall we do it? Surely a town priest wouldn't marry us? Maybe...what about our alphas?"

Dominique now blushed.

"Well, that's why I was going to wait a few more months. I hadn't quite worked out all of the details. In fact, I was planning on asking the Alphas next month or so if they would do it, but I really don't know. We need to coordinate between our families, get everythin in order, and find out who will perform the ceremony. By the way, I'm Catholic. Just letting you know."

"That's okay. I can ask the alphas to have us married. I am sure they would be more than happy to comply. I have some ideas of bands that I would like to perform at the ceremony, if that's what you mean. And...we can get married in a church, if you want. All I ever want to do is make you happy, my love. Although, by doing this, you make me more happy than I have ever been. We are going to be bound, by law, together forever. I know you are as excited as me, and for that, I love you all the more." Jason grasped her hand in his. It dwarfed hers, as he was so much larger than her.

When he found out about the hunter being put in that state he was furious, but he knew who to go to because he smelled the scent of two of his pack on the hunter. Now he was racing to where they were because he w2as thinking about questioning them and then depending on the answers they give him punish them if necessary. When he arrived he went out of his full wolf form and into his hybrid form, he then knocked on the door to Aura's cabin. "I need to talk with you two about that hunter!" he yelled so they would hear them even if they were asleep.

Dominique was about to reply, but then she heard the knocking on the door.

"Coming, coming." She replied, then went to get on a pair of robes. She threw one about Jason's size at her love, while donning the other before approaching the door.

She opened the door to see Toua.

"Toua-chan! What a surprise! Welcome! I was just dressing Jason's wound."

Jason, wearing one of Dominique's robes, walked up behind her. "Hello, Alpha Kira. It's a pleasant surprise to see you hear. We were just talking about coming to see you about some important business. As you can see, my leg has been injured. Dominique had been kind enough to dress it for me. I'm sorry, where are our manners? Please, come in." He pulled Dominique to the side, allowing entry for Kira.
