((Toronto! You're in Toronto!))

"Whatcha doin'?" Tanya popped out of nowhere like a certain pair of werewolf twins. "So I heard you talking to some Italian guy. Who is it? Do you owe him money? Did he kill your family? Is he your college roommate? Please, do tell. I have an hour to kill, and frankly, your little adventure sounds more exciting than going to a rave and trying to get laid within the alloted time. My current record is 15 guys and 8 girls in an hour, and I wanted to go try and beat that record until I overheard your little talk. So go ahead. Spill."

((Aggh! Right! Sorry!))

Jason waved Tanya away; he was still talking into the phone. "What did you say?"

The voice replied, a little angrily, "I said: I will meet you at the Big M in fifteen minutes!" Jason cringed.

"Right, sorry. Sorry. I'll see you then." He pulled the phone away from his body, and hit the hang-up button. Turning, he glared at Tanya. "Don't you know not to interrupt someone when they're on the phone?" Sighing, he glanced apologetically at her. "Sorry. It's top-secret...at least, it is to him. I tell anybody, and he kills me. And trust me, he could."

Tanya made a cute, puppy-dog face and tried to act very cute towards Jason. "Awww! Pwease, Mistew, could I pwetty pwease fowwow you? I would wove to pwotect you if bad things happen to you..." She then grinned evilly, and whipped out a recorder. "Or maybe I could show this to Dominique, and SHE would like to know who this is. Let me tag along in the shadows, and I won't tell anyone what happens."

Jason growled. He raised a hand, as if to slap her, then sighed, and lowered it. "Thankfully, he doesn't post many guards around this place...If you act like you followed me without my knowing, he may not kill me." With that, Jason glanced around. Satisfied, he shifted to his natural wolf form, the faster of his three. Five minutes later, Jason stopped, ran into an alley, and shifted back to his human form. He walked out of the alley, and looked around, making sure no one had seen him. Again satisfied, he made his way to the street. He crossed, and looked around: there it was! Manny's Furniture Warehouse, picked because it could easily be callsigned 'Big M,' and many would think it was the McDonald's to the South.

Tanya closely followed Jason from behind, slipping in and out of the shadows, until she reached the back of the store.

"Feeding time..." She whispered to herself as she threw a nickel at one of the two guards. The guard was hit by it, but he was simply knocked out. As the other guard approched his fallen comrade, Tanya leapt out of the shadows, bit into the hefty man's neck, and quickly gave Jason a thumbs-up before slinking back into the darkness with her meal.

Jason ignored the signals. He approached the door, but before he reached it, a large man wearing an expensive-looking suit. "Good day, Ivan," he said. Ivan just grunted, and motioned for Jason to follow him. Jason nodded, and followed Ivan into the store. They weaved between the beds and mattresses, along a trail so confusing no one could follow them...except Tanya. Eventually, they reached the back of the warehouse, where a small door was located. Ivan motioned for Jason to enter. He gulped, and went in. Ivan gave one final nod, and walked away.

Meanwhile, Tanya was enjoying her late-night snack.

She then ripped out his heart and tore off his head to make sure he didn't turn, then whipped out a small candlestick-like device out of her pocket. She set the candle on the fatty, and lit it, causing the body to combust into ash instantly.

Tanya thought to herself as she sneaked into the warehouse, dodging the guards along the way.

For a moment, there was complete and utter darkness. Then, there was an audible CLICK!, and an overhead bulb came on. It was swinging on a lamp, and gave the room a frightening look. The room was bare, except for a round wooden table (Oak, no doubt) in the center. And seated at the table was one of the few men that Jason actually feared: Luigi Barra Manneran. He was a large man, six and a half feet tall and easily two hundred fifty pounds. His hair was black, and looked as if he had just been sweating. He wore a fine business suit, a straight black tuxedo. As Jason stepped forward, Luigi stood. "Aahh...Jason; I have not seen you for quite some time. How are you, my friend?" The man spoke with a heavy Italian accent, and were it not for his Italian descent, Jason would not be able to understand him.

"I am fine, Mr. Manner-"

"Please...call me Manny."

"I am fine....Manny." Luigi smiled, and laughed. He motioned Jason over with one of his large hands. Putting a cigar into his mouth, he motioned for Jason to sit. Jason did, albeit nervously.

"Now, we must talk business..."

Luigi smiled. "I'm assuming you haven't forgotten about our deal...have you, Jason?" Jason gulped; he knew that this question was coming, and he dreaded the moment that Manny would ask it. Of course, he had forgotten it, but he was not about to tell Manny that.

"O-Of course not, Manny."

"Good. Then I must wonder...when are you going to fulfill your end of the deal? Let me warn you, again, Jason, that I know the Alpha Male of your former wolf pack. Don't think I can't contact them; I'm sure they would be very pleased to meet you, after all this time."

"No! I mean, I'm working on it, Manny. You just need to give me more t-" Suddenly, Manny slammed a fist down.

"Time! You need more time?! No...no, no, no. You listen to me, Jason. Not only do I know the wolves who want to kill you, I myself have changed. You will find that I am much more...formidable than I was when we last met. Now...when...are you going to bring me those codes?" Jason shook.

"I-I...Give me one week, sir. That's..." Jason's voice trailed away as he saw the look in Manny's eyes.

"A week? You want me to wait a week? After I've been waiting ten years for this?! If you won't get the codes-"

"Alright! I...I can get the codes now. Just please...don't...don't..." Manny nodded.

"Alright. You have three hours to bring me those codes. But first...I don't think you quite understand me, Jason. So...I will show you..."

"Show him what?" Tanya materialized next to Manny. "Don't even think about calling your guards in the shadows, since I've...disposed...of them. And I took the liberty of deadbolting the door while I was at it. Jason now has friends in high places. Very high places. And we have an entire file on you, Mister Manneran. Former sub-boss of the Manneran Mafia, you became an expatriate when you helped a sting operation to destroy your own organization and put several of your immediate family behind bars just to be able to get away with the family fortune, as well as a very important manuscript that used to belong to the Foedus Cruorem. Now, you've been hacking into various bank accounts all over the world, looking for more information, and my friend here has been giving you the bank account codes for those safe deposit boxes. We have ways of dealing with your kind..." Tanya licked her lips as she moved closer to Manny's neck...

Manny looked angrily at Jason, then shook his head. Placing a hand on his forehead, Manny laughed. He laughed straight for almost three minutes. When he stopped, he simply puffed on his cigar, his eyes looking between Tanya and Jason. "You think you know me, girl? Then you must know nothing...I guess I will show you both. As I told you, Jason, I am good friends with your old pack...very good friends. And, well, you see, my friends have decided to give me a gift...a gift for telling them of your current location. Now, allow me to show you two my gift." Manny stood up from the table. He began laughing, and as he laughed, his body began to change. Thick, oily black fur sprouted out of his skin, and he was rapidly growing. Soon, there was a loud tearing sound as his clothes ripped and fell off. His nose stretched, and teeth shot down, teeth much longer than any canines ever seen. In fact, they almost resembled those of the saber-tooth tiger. After another minute, Manny stopped changing. He stood thirteen feet tall, and his body rippled with muscle. "You see, my friend...I too...am a werewolf! And I am much more powerful than you...or your pathetic little mate!...You...Tanya, is it? I understand that you are part of the Foedus, and that you care for your friend, but please, if you don't mind...Jason and me must fight, alone. If you feel the need to, then you can try to help him...though I doubt it will help you."

Tanya started chuckling herself, and looked at her watch before walking towards the exit. "Clever man! Using cologne to mask your werewolf stench! No wonder we've never recorded you being a werewolf! Well then, I'll just go find that manuscript myself!"

She pressed a few buttons on her watch, and tossed it to Jason. "You have 30 minutes until I come back. I'll wait for 5 minutes, then leave without you. That will give us just enough time to get back to Dominique to make the hour limit. The watch will alert you of both the 30-minute mark, and when I leave you behind." She saluted Jason before leaving the room. "Good luck!"

After she closed the door, the sound of gunfire and fighting could be heard, though it died down within a few seconds.

Manny laughed at her remark. "Little girl, you think I have been like this for long?! No! I only became this but a week ago...Now, please leave." He watched as she saluted Jason, and left. "Now, Clawfang...show me what you've got." Jason growled, and quickly shifted to his hybrid form. He was considerably smaller than Manny, only eight feet tall. This is going to be challenging, he thought to himself. With a bark, he launched himself at Manny. Manny just laughed, and swatted Jason out of midair. Jason yelped, and flew backward, slamming into the door. "Not so easy as those other pathetic excuses for a werewolf...am I, Clawfang?" Clawfang shook his head; he knew he was being baited. He just couldn't resist. With a howl, he rushed at Manny. This time, Manny spun around, and whipped Clawfang with his huge tail. The tail left a long slice on his chest, but Clawfang kept coming.

"I'll take you down, Manny!" Clawfang yelled. He swiped his claws, but Manny brought his arm up, and let Clawfang's claws slash at his huge muscles.

"Manny?! Please, while I am like this...please, call m Sabre!" Sabre rushed forward, and clamped his jaws down on Clawfang.

Clawfang howled in pain as Sabre's enormous teeth sank into him. Growling, Clawfang started clawing at Sabre's face. With a lucky shot, he scratched Sabre's eye. Sabre flung Clawfang away, his teeth leaving gaping holes in Clawfang's chest. Blood poured out of the holes, but he ignored them. He leapt right back at Sabre. Furious, he began swinging his claws in a flurry. Sabre growled, and tried to get close enough to strike, but as soon as he got close, his skin was torn up by Clawfang's claws. Roaring, he swung his arm at Clawfang. Ignoring the claws that tore the arm, he smashed them into Clawfang, sending him flying backward.

Tanya subdued the rest of the guards, and found Manny's car. After a few seconds of studying, she disabled the locks and safeguards and entered the vehicle. She found a laptop, and started searching through it, until she discovered the location of Manny's office. For convenience's sake, she hot-wird the car and sped off for the office.

Clawfang slammed into another wall, cracking it. Falling, he let out a growl of utter rage. As he stood, he swayed. The battle was taking a lot out of him. He noted with satisfaction that Sabre, though not half as worse for the wear as Clawfang, looked tired and worn. This battle...can't last much longer...and no matter what, I won't kill him. Suddenly, Sabre laughed, a deep bark that rattled the smashed pieces of the table. "I know you too well, Clawfang. I can see it on your face, in your eyes: you are trying to figure out how to subdue me without killing me. Well, let me tell you: it's impossible. Just as impossible as your chances for survival." Not responding, Clawfang reached into his fur, and pulled something out. Gripping it, he faced Sabre, who laughed. Clawfang was holding a small knife, caked in old blood. The one thing Sabre didn't know was: that was the same silver knife that had been dropped on Clawfang's leg those few days ago.

>Taiga<

"Hello, are you idiots there? I am getting tired of being patient here, so let us out already!" screamed Taiga as she flipped out. She was slowly and agonizingly becoming insane being locked in a cage like that, she did not like that and it was beginning to open old woulds which would send both her and her brother on a rampage, "Let me out of here already!" she screamed again. Kai was starting to lose control as well and his old wounds were beginning to open up, but he did well hiding this fact.

Clawfang gripped the knife tightly, making sure to keep his claws away from the silver blade. Sabre chuckled, then broke out laughing. "You plan to take me down with a tiny knife? Come on, Clawfang. I thought I had known you better than that. You're not usually one to resort to weapons in a fight." Clawfang shook his head, trying to block out the taunts. I know I shouldn't listen to him; he just wants to kill me. But...I can't...help...it! With a ferocious growl, Clawfang threw down the knife, and leapt at Sabre. "Alright," Sabre shouted. Then he crouched, preparing for Clawfang.

With a loud howl, Clawfang leapt high into the air towards Sabre. While in mid-air, Clawfang completed the shift, becoming the giant wolf form. He landed in front of Sabre, and slammed his jaws down on one of his legs. Sabre yelped in pain, and began shaking Clawfang, trying to fling him off.

((Sorry! Computer troubles this morning...))

Dominique thanked the doctor for everything, and left the clinic, wondering where Tanya and Jason had gone off to. She clutched the folder that the doctor had given her tightly against her chest as she caught Jason's scent, along with another werewolf's smell. She ran off to find her mate, hoping he would be fine. Please don't die on me Jason... she worried, ...otherwise the information I now know might come true!

Clawfang shook as Sabre kicked viciously and tried to loosen his grip. Thinking quickly, Sabre spun around, and slammed Clawfang into the wall. He immediately let go, and fell to the ground, reverting to a bloodied human form as well. Sabre laughed, a deep, menacing grumble, and slowly walked to Jason. Jason looked up, wincing as blood continued to pour out of his wounds. Seeing a glint nearby, he turned: it was the knife. Struggling, he pushed himself towards it. Sabre, who didn't see the knife, laughed. "You're wasting your energy, fool. You should just give up now; I might let you live." Jason laughed, and coughed up blood. With a yell, he pushed off the ground, jumped into the air, and leapt at Sabre. With a howl of rage, he slammed the silver knife into Sabre's eye. Sabre howled, and began thrashing violently. Jason was thrown off, hit the wall, and sat against it, watching Sabre's death throes.

Dominique finally found Tanya, who had just finished leaving an office building.

"Tanya, what were you doing in that building?" Dominique asked.

"Nothing. Nothing at all." Tanya quickly replied, hiding something behind her back.

"What did you steal?" Dominique trie to grab the artifact from Tanya. Tanya dodged, but Dominique eventually pulled it from her.

"They took it from us! I was just retrieving it!" Tanya protested.

"Fair enough. Where's Jason?"

"Fighting a werewolf mob boss."

"WHAT?!?"

Jason sighed as Sabre finally fell to the ground, still. Slowly, he walked over, and pulled the knife out of the corpse's eye. With a look of disgust, he wiped the blood and juices off the knife on the dead body's skin. He gasped, and fell back against the wall. He pressed a hand against his stomach, and pulled it away, sticky with blood. Thinking quickly, he spied a table cloth on the table they had originally met at. He limped over to it, and began tearing pieces off. As he tore them off, he folded the pieces, and wrapped them around himself as bandages. After a minute, he was finished, and noticed that Tanya's watch was beeping. His time had run out quite a while ago, it seemed. He sighed. Dominique's going to be worried...

Dominique rushed up to Jason, and before he could do anything, she had b***h-slapped him across the room. "You didn't call me!" She kicked him in the stomach. "You didn't text me!" She kicked him again. "You didn't have Tanya drop by and say 'Hey Dominique! Just FYI, Jason's taking on part of the New York Mafia, including their werewolf boss!'!" She kicked him for the third time, until she just broke down and cried, kneeling down, hugging her lover and sobbing into his chest. "I was...so worried..."

((First of all, I'm inside a building, in a hidden room in the back. And second, I'm in human form))

Jason gasped as Dominique assaulted him. He tried to defend himself, but all of a sudden he was just too d*** tired. When she was finished, and started crying, he sighed in relief. Then, he slowly patted her head. "There there," he whispered softly. "I'm okay...I'm still alive, aren't I?" Jason looked over at the dead body, and then looked away. Dominique didn't need to see that. "When we get back to the safehouse, I can explain all this to you. I didn't just fight this guy for no reason...m'kay?" He kissed her head, then wiped away one of her tears.
