Jappio
You should have credited the original artist. Using partial concept [eyes, Fangs, pose] and the the palette, you owe at least that to the original artist. You have various errors about this guy, which is disappointing since you had such a very good reference. In general I can see you mimicked the shading shape and such, but you are much more choppy than the original. This is to show you how to do circles. Another issue you have is very choppy and unround borders and shading. They need a gradual change in direction, and this example can show you how that is suppose to go. Speaking of borders, your image needs some help with that. Some areas it's extra thick, some area it doesn't exist. The gray around the shoes doesn't make much sense to me, and the fangs are hard to make out in general. The cheeks aren't the most noticeable. You picked a color that doesn't quite work, too pale and too close to the skin tone. They also aren't shaped very well. I would suggest using the red from the shoes as the color, much more noticeable then. A few other various errors. You really have to work on your neatness, and also to try and make your own things, rather than making others. It's ok to borrow an idea, but when palettes, pose, and general concept are used, it's perhaps going a tad far, especially without that previously mentioned credit.
