If you were a Heartless, would you like it if you were a mindless zombie searching for hearts like a cat searching for food in a desert?

If you were a Nobody, would you like it if you couldn’t show real emotions like someone who is just empty?

If you were an Unversed, would you like it if you couldn’t show positive emotions like someone who couldn’t feel grateful about something that should, in their own way?

Nothing would.

Xehanort has done too much damage to be fixed.

I can hope on Sora to fix that.

Still, the final remnants of his essence must be destroyed. And I’ll do that myself, no matter what.

No matter what, do not tell anyone where I am going.

In order for you to be safe, I’ll tell you one thing.

Keep a very strong will, I know you’ll manage.

Yazan stared at the letter again. He was expecting it to be some kind of distress call from someone trapped on an island or something. He never expected the letter to be from his best friend, or for it to be intended for him. How did it float across the ocean and landed at its destination?

 

And who was Sora? And Xehanort? And what’s a Heartless? Nobody? Unversed? Was this letter really from Retah? Yazan put the letter down. However, suddenly, there were screams from his village. Yazan turned only to see a black creature latch on him. He threw the creature away but another one appeared and latched on his head, but he punched it and threw it away too.

 

He could see someone running away towards the ocean but another one of black creatures jump onto that person. Before he could warn the person, he transformed into another black creature, and Yazan suddenly understood why. They were Heartless, mentioned in the letter. He could guess by the way they acted, just like how the letter described.

 

He then realized that he was the last living thing, in a way, in the country. Thousands of black creatures, formed from every living thing he ever saw in his life, excluding Retah, stared at him, and like a mega-marathon horse-race, they charged at him. Desperate, he did what the letter suggested and removed every tiny ounce of fear inside him, and charged straight at the huge army of Heartless heading his way. Right before he collided with the Heartless, he thought one thing. Where was Retah?

I've just started working on Chapter 1.

 

The chapters have two protagonists and two different views in the story.

The Primary Main Protagonist is, of course, Retah.

The Secondary Main Protagonist is a character called Zanaxy.
