You need 3 monster to tribute summon Obelisk. You only need two monsters to synchro summon Brionac. To use Obelisk's effect, you need two more monsters. Brionac's effect only needs one card or more.

And, you can easily kill Obelisk with simple traps and spells, making a waste of 3 monsters.

Tell me which is better now.

and you obviously fail at realizing the mechanics of the game' date=' or you would realize that obelisk [b']cannot[/b] be targeted by any effect.

moron. e_e

Then why is Brionac run by every person that tops in the Shonen Jump Championships?

one it's competitively not competetively. so I think you need to learn how to spell before telling me what to do.

2. I have/do play competitively

and found that Synchros are overrated.

1. Even if I mispell one word, that doesn't mean my whole point is invalid.

2. Then why is Brionac run by every person that tops in the Shonen Jump Championships?

thank you matthew!

now mister ax the mill' date=' are you done being a brionac fanboy/girl? or do we have to continue demonstrating just why you are wrong?

I'm not a Brionac fanboy. But I do run it because I know it's good. And you haven't proved one single point as to why Obelisk is better so far.

First of all, this is not a situation in which Brionac and Obelisk are on the field. Second, while you try to get as many monsters as you can to summon Obelisk, Brionac will continue to send cards away. Third, Obelisk can be destroyed by Judgment Dragon, Lightning Vortex, Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, and other non- targeting effects.

Guest War Torn

Simple, Obelisk's effect makes it untouchable to Brionac's effect. Also, Obelisk can just smash Brionac in 1 turn anyways.

EDIT: And any Spell or Trap would just be useless against Obelisk.

1. thats why Obelisk is great in a Special Summon/Metta Deck

2 it's hard to Synchro now a days cause everyone is like screw you and destroy this and destroy that.

3. Obelisk can not be effected by simple traps, spells or effects anf like I said before if he is Tribute Summoned with Hard Armed Dragon he becomes untouchable except by out powering him.

Which is somewhat difficult to do.

1. No one runs Obelisk in Meta decks. There's no such thing as a special summon deck.

2. It's pretty easy. Maurading Captain+Level 3 tuner= Insta Brionac.

3. Like I said before. You need 3 monsters on the field and you need two more monsters to use his effect. Before you even summon obelisk, they would have destroyed Hardened Armed Dragon.

@Aximil wrong. Obelisk is A invincible monster except against: destroy all- based effects, but when he is Tribute Summoned using Hard Armed Dragon which then makes Obelisk untouchable.

except by out powering him.

@Boris unlike Brioniac, Obelisk's Summon can not be nagated or stoped. also being that Raigeki is Banned and Obelisk has a built in Raigeki effect, He is an excellent addition to any Deck that can Special Summon relatively well such as metta Decks or a Dragon Deck because Dragons Special Summon quite easy which makes it easy to Tribute for him.

1. what do you think metta Decks do like crazy: SPECIAL SUMMON!, and a god can exist in any Deck.

2. Trap hole Maurading Captian or just Bottomless both of them at once. same thing for Junk Synchron or any other bull-crap play you got like that.

3. Special Summoning is part of that key to Summon him then using his ability.

And only a Idiot would play a weak monster with out a way to protect it or find a way to use it right away.
