It'd be easier if we all designated who we are RPing with currently in the beginning of our posts. --- Character Post: Jeremiah The rider narrowed his eyes as he slowed down, the wheels of his Runner grinding to a stop. He dismounted, fearlessly leaving the machine in the middle of the street as if the city wasn't ruled by chaos and anarchy. He had felt - something - it was too early to tell if it was a Signer or not, but a not-so-ordinary fellow was certainly around. "Come out." Jeremiah called to the unseen observer. It was best to snuff out potential threats before they could fulfill such potential. "Step forth, and face my challenge."

HakuroDK
Ryoushi got up from a nice long sleep. After stretching, he got out of bed and prepared for yet another day of work. An angler's job was never done, after all. As he finished, he put on his overcoat, prepared his duel disk as he walked downstairs into the market area, and left the shop, locking it behind him. It was still very early in the morning, as it normally was. Ryoushi made his way toward his fishing boat, raised the anchor, and set sail for the various traps he had laid out the night before. As he pulled them all up, they were full of live crustaceans. Grinning at his haul after an hour, he then started netting up some fish. Because there weren't any other fisherman in Neo Domino City, he often got a very good haul. As he made his way back to the pier, he cast the anchor, tied his boat to the dock, and started unloading his catch into the shop, opening up one of the large doors and getting a huge cart. As he finished unloading the last of the fish into the shop, he was about to ready the ice in order to put the fish on display for sale. However, he had heard some tumbling around. It was odd, since market didn't open for another three hours. He took his duel disk and walked outside, making sure to close and lock everything behind him, "Who's there?" Time Psyduck
OOC: Ixigo, I was, but I'm not forward enough. I'm even worse in real life. RP: Dylan watched as the rider dismounted, and called out a challenge. For a second, he wondered if he'd been spotted, but he noticed that the rider wasn't looking at him, which meant he had either used some dark signer sense that told him someone was around, but not where, this one was overly cautious, or he was very self-confident. Oh well, what's the point in agreeing to fight the dark signers if you don't ever duel any "Evening," he called, stepping out into full view, "or is it morning? Those clouds of yours make it tricky to tell. Anyway, if you have a challenge, then I'll accept, although I'll here the terms first." Dylan stopped directly opposite the dark signer, staring at the hooded figure.

Guest Ixigo
Character Post: Jeremiah - RPing with Dylan The older man turned his head, observing his opponent carefully. True, he sensed something from him... but it was more of an underlying current, than the overwhelming strength he expected to find in a Signer. Perhaps not a Signer, then - only someone with some token power. It did not matter. Jeremiah's instincts told him to eliminate the man. "Accepting my challenge, your courage is commendable." Jeremiah seemed to be praising the man. Indeed he had walked forth against a Dark Signer, taking up the role of the challenger, risking a perpetuity in oblivion. "Since you do not seem to have a Duel Runner, we will settle this in the traditional way." He retrieved his Duel Disk, black and sharp-edged with the monster card slots resembling a hawk's talons, and loaded his deck. "I, Jeremiah Gray, challenge you to a Dark Duel. Let's put our souls at stake, as the loser will become a sacrifice to God."

Time Psyduck
Dylan - with Jeremiah "Then I, Dylan Blake, accept your challenge," he replied, swinging his own duel disk to shift it into battle mode, and thrusting his deck inside. Guest Ixigo
Jeremiah - with Dylan JEREMIAH - 4000 LP5+1=6 cards in hand "I am not impressed." Jeremiah said coolly, looking over his cards. "My turn. Draw!" He called. "By paying 1000 Life Points, I activate the Permanent Magic from my hand, Gate of Heavens!" He placed a card in his Duel Disk, and a massive circle of light materialized behind him, seemingly made out of molten gold and fire woven into intricate patterns. "Now, I Summon Shattered Angel in attack mode!" A monster appeared on the field, a female angel in blood-stained, torn white clothes, holding herself up on her spear. "Gate of Heavens' effect activates! When a LIGHT monster is Normal Summoned, I can replace it with another one with equivalent Level from my Deck, provided I remove it from play. Now arise, Sunfire Angel!" Jeremiah retrieved his card and took another one from his Deck, his Duel Disk automatically ejecting the correct one. A monster appeared in a pillar of fire, another angel, this time in full red-and-silver armor, wielding a sword. "The effect of Sunfire Angel! When it is Special Summoned from my Deck, it inflicts 700 points of direct damage to the opponent!" The angel raised his free hand, releasing a stream of white-hot flames to envelop Dylan. "Also, Sunfire Angel's attack points increase by 200 for every LIGHT monster that has been removed from play!" The monster's attack rose from 1700 to 1900. "Battle! Sunfire Angel, attack Pod Kraken! Sunflare Sword!" With that, the angel launched himself against the opponent's monster, aiming to cut it down with his blade. BATTLE:Sunfire Angel (1900 ATK) vs Pod Kraken (800 DEF) --- OoC: I think it would be better if we revealed to each other what cards we placed face-down. We would still realistically RP our characters dueling, ignoring that OoC knowledge, but we would at least know when the other person might want to chain, so we'd stop our posts at an appropriate point to give the opponent time to react instead of writing it all and then retconning it. For the record, btw, I'm not finished with my turn - I'm just waiting for your reaction and the battle. Also, the cards used: Sunfire AngelLIGHT / Level 4 / Warrior/Effect1700/1600When this monster is Special Summoned from your Deck, inflict 700 points of direct damage to your opponent's Life Points. Increase this monster's ATK by 200 points for every LIGHT monster you control that has been removed from play. Shattered AngelLIGHT / Level 4 / Warrior/Effect1600/1400When this monster is Special Summoned from your Deck, you may change the Battle Position of a monster your opponent controls. Once per turn, if this monster would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed. Gate of HeavensSPELL / ContinuousPay 1000 Life Points to activate this card. When a LIGHT monster is Normal Summoned to your side of the field, you may remove it from play in order to Special Summon a LIGHT monster from your Deck with Level equal to the Level of the monster removed from play. When this card is destroyed, increase your Life Points by 200 x the amount of LIGHT monsters removed from play.
Time Psyduck
OOC: Revealing face-downs might be helpful, I suppose. Also your 7's and 8's seem to be mixed up. Pod Kraken had 800 DEF, and Sunfire Angel's effect damage is different between the card text and the RP. Oh and my face down (Waboku) probably won't be activated this turn. Dylan - with Jeremiah Dylan winced as the fire surrounded him. So this is a dark duel, he thought. He quickly stood up, as the armoured angel struck Pod Kraken, cleaving it and causing it to smash apart into a mass of shards. "I'll activate Pod Kraken's effect. When it's sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon another one from my Deck." A second rugby ball-shaped squid appeared where the last one had been moments before. "They travel in pods, hence the name, so there's another one to take it's place."
Guest Ixigo
OoC: Oh, might've mixed them up. My bad. In case you see a difference, what is described in the RP takes precedence over the card text provided, because some of the cards were already designed, and are now being changed to match 4000-LP standards. --- Jeremiah - with Dylan "So be it, then." Jeremiah said indifferently, as Dylan's monster was replaced by another one of the same kind. "One card face-down, turn end." Dylan seemed to be setting up a wall of some sort, but he might have some bigger plan for those weak monsters. If so, Jeremiah would nullify it before it came to fruition. Time Psyduck
Dylan - With Jeremiah "In that case, it's my move again," John replied, as he drew his card. Nice he though as he added it to his hand and pulled another card out. "I'll open this turn with Deep Sea Diva in attack position," he called as he placed his card into the slot. A pink mermaid-like creature appeared alongside the defending squid, apparently singing. "And now her effect activates, allowing me to special summon a level 3 or lower Sea Serpent straight from my deck."
Guest Ixigo
OoC: As there are currently no LIGHT monsters in my Graveyard, I couldn't have chained anything here, so you could've simply moved on. Anyway. --- Jeremiah frowned at the monster revealed by Dylan. Deep Sea Diva was a Tuner monster, and with its effect, Dylan could use it to immediately summon a Synchro monster up to Level 9. This was certainly a very impressive move - but, it did not guarantee victory. The Dark Signer glanced at his hand. Even against an overwhelming maneouver, he had the means to survive and make a comeback.
Time Psyduck
OOC: I though that, but I wanted to be sure. Dylan - with Jeremiah "So I'll bring out Mermaid Archer," Dylan continued, another mermaid, this one with green scales and a crossbow, appearing on his field. "And now I tune my Level 2 Deep Sea Diva with my level 3 Pod Kraken to Synchro Summon the Sea Dragon Lord Gishilnodon." The mermaid disappeared, to be replaced by two green rings. The closed pod flew into the rings and faded out, leaving three stars lined up within the rings. A beam of light ran through the stars, and then expanded to fill the ring. Once it had faded, it revealed a large blue dragon-like creature. "And since Pod Kraken went to the Graveyard from my field, I get to summon another one from my deck, and I can activate the effect of Mermaid Archer, allowing me to equip Pod Kraken to it, increasing it's attack by 800." Pod Kraken opened up it's tentacles and lifted it's body as Mermaid archer leaped on top of it. "Now, Mermaid Archer attacks Sunfire Angel." The armed Mermaid aimed her crossbow, and fired a bolt straight at the armoured angel.
Guest Ixigo
"You've fallen for it, how foolish." Jeremiah commented, holding out a card. "From my hand, I discard Guardian Deity Honest. It will allow my defending Sunfire Angel to switch to Defense Position, and at the same time increase its Defense points by an amount equal to its ATK points." As the angelic warrior kneeled defensively, the crossbow bolt struck harmlessly against him, his Defense points now standing at 3300. "What is more, this effect remains active until the current turn is over. So, what now?" BATTLE:Mermaid Archer (2000 ATK) vs Sunfire Angel (3300 DEF) Guardian Deity HonestLIGHT / Level 1 / Warrior/Tuner/Effect100/900During either player's Damage Step, when a face-up LIGHT monster you control battles, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to switch that monster to Defense Position and increase its DEF by an amount equal to its original ATK, until the End Phase. If this card is removed from play, by discarding 1 card from your hand, you may Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position.
