Yu-Gi-Oh! Last Justice Episode 1: Our Story Begins!

As the midnight black-haired duelist opened his eyes, he felt worse than when he had went to sleep. He groaned and sat up. Masato wasn't feeling at all well today. He turned his head slightly to see what was happening outside. Another duel. Masato and Xander Thesare were supposed to be dueling today.

 

He groaned as he thought of how he had beat Xander thirteen times in a row already. It was getting way too easy to guess his strategies now. He shoved off his quilt and stood, breathing in the air of New Domino City. After dressing into his usual atire of a black T-shirt, white jacket, white pants, black shoes and his duel disk, he stepped outside, into his family's private duel stadium, where he and his friends practiced. As he took in the spectacular scenery of the duel stadium, a great sense of well-being exploded in him.

 

"I am Masato Uesugi, the world's next dueling champion!" he screamed at the sky. A huge grin appeared on the black-haired 19-year old duelist as he inserted his duel deck into his duel disk. It automatically shuffled as he walked towards the dueling area. As he approached he heard the battle coming to a close.

 

"....I activate A Hero Emerges! And since there is only one card in my hand, I guess you'll have to pick that! I summon Gravi-Crush Dragon!"

 

 

GRAVI CRUSH DRAGON: [ATK: 2400][DEF: 1200][Dragon/Effect] You can send 1 face-up Continuos Spell Card you control to the graveyard to destroy 1 monster your opponent controls.

 

 

"Gah! But that means-"

 

"Thats right, I can send my "A" Cell Breeding Machine spell card to the graveyard to destroy your Summoned Skull! And with my Coffin Seller card, you receive 300 points of direct damage, wiping out the rest of your life points!"

 

As the duel ended and the two duelists went to revamp there strategies with their friends, Masato stepped up to the dueling area, ready to take on any who challenged him.... except for the one who did.

 

"Excuse me, are you Masato Uesugi?" Asked a tall man in black who was standing at the stairs opposite Masato.

"Yes, I am. Why?" Replied Masato.

"I would like to duel you. If you win, you have a guarenteed spot in the Dragonfire Tournament. What d' you say?"

"Sure, just make sure you're ready for the butt kicking you're about to get!"

"Heh. We'll see" The challenger stepped out into the light, showing his face. Masato's eyes widened and his mouth fell open slightly.

"Yuusei Fudo!?"

"Yeah, nice to meet ya kid" Yuusei stepped up to Masato and held out his hand for a handshake. Masato granted him the handshake and turned to his duel station, preparing to face off against one of his heroes.

 

DUEL TURN 1

 

Life Points= Masato:4000 Yuusei: 4000

 

"LETS DUEL!" shouted Masato.

"LETS DUEL!" shouted Yuusei.

"Il go first." Masato confidently said, "And I summon Chiron the Mage in attack position!"

 

 

CHIRON THE MAGE: [ATK:1800][DEF:1000][beast-Warrior/Effect] Once per turn you can discard 1 Spell card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap card your opponent controls.

 

 

DUEL TURN 2

 

"My turn! And I summon Max Warrior! Max Warrior, attack his Chiron the Mage!"

 

Life Points= Masato: 3600 Yuusei: 4000

 

"I'll end with two face-downs. You're move!"

 

DUEL TURN 3

 

"Hehe, My Turn! Draw! Heh, perfect! I summon The Creator Incarnate!"

 

"What!?"

 

"Hehe, next I activate it's effect and release it to summon The Creator from my hand! It's time, buddy! Lets go, The Creator!"

 

"Damn it"

 

"You know exactly how I use this card don't you... my favourite card. I'll discard one card from my hand to activate it's effect and Special Summon from the graveyard, The Creator Incarnate! And i'll activate it's abillty again to Special Summon, The Creator"

 

"Another one!?"

 

"Ahahaha! I acquired this one from my father. Next i'll activate the newly summoned Creator's ability. Welcome back the card I discarded, Gilford the Lightning!

"The Creator, attack his Max Warrior and, thanks to Max Warrior's ability, Max Warrior's ATK is halved."

 

LIFE POINTS = Masato: 3600 Yuusei: 2600

 

"Now Gilford the Lightning will attack you directly!"

 

LIFE POINTS = Masato: 3600 Yuusei: 0

 

WINNER = Masato Uesugi!

 

"I-I won?" exclaimed Masato with a look of extreme surprise on his face.

"Looks like you did, kid"

"...I'm not a kid... I'm 19 years old..."

"Oh...sorry"

"Whatever... I just can't believe I defeated... you... the Duel King... I-Its.... wow"

"Heh, I can't believe it either.... but you seem to have a very strong connection to your deck, that combo was... off the charts."

"Really?"

"Yeah... except... sorry to burst your bubble but I had already countered it... I let you win" Yuusei held up one card, Mirror Force. Masato's eyes widened in shock.

"Then why did you not defeat me while you could?"

"Heh, because I need you to fill in for me at the Dragonfire Tournament. I beleive you have the skill to win that... but there weren't enough places, right?"

"Yeah"

"So, now you have my place"

"Uh.... thanks"

"You're welcome" at that moment, Yuusei walked out of the arena the way he had come, not even stopping to say goodbye.

 

Masato turned back to his staring fanbase as the gawked at the duelist that had just defeated the Duel King. After a small akward silence, the crowd burst into cheers, all chanting his name.
