The Rise of The Descendants -A Greek God RP- (Accepting/ Started) JOIN

OH GUYS I’m so late for this.:( *turns in circles*

I’m sorry, my Internet was down for a few days (I’m sure they shut it down because we use it too much haha ^_^) but now I’m back! And I can be active since I have holidays.:)

So ehm… Can someone sum up what happened?0_o’ Because I’m not going to read through the last 13 pages, it’s not the only RP I’m in.^^’

So now we’re at the point where the characters discover that they’re descendants of gods, yes?

Goddess

Hecate: Goddess of witchcraft, ghosts and crossroads. She doesn't reside on the Olymp. Also known as the Triple Goddess, sometimes depicted in 3 forms, a Goddess holding a torch, a key and a serpent. Her symbols are the torch, dogs, frogs and the yew.

Character

Birth Name: Enodia

Foster Name: Elina "Elly" Gates

Which God Do You Descend From?: Hecate

Gender: female

Appearance: Middle-length and straight mahagoni hair, grey eyes, a long, narrow nose and a marked chin that might make her look a bit crone at first sight. A bit taller than average height for her age, stable constitution.

Her favourite ceremonial dress that she generally wears outside is a light violet shirt with a round, slight low-neck and wide, bell-shaped arms, that is usually paired with a number of flower-based accessories and an ankle-length, slightly flare-shaped skirt of a darker purple tone.

Personality: The quiet type of person who seems to do her work obediently - which doesn't always imply that she's doing it well though. On various occasions she may fuss around, but since she isn't a natural all-round talent, she tries very hard when she isn't distracted by the weather, a passenger or any sudden thought. Generally she will welcome people at her stay and enjoy their company but it may leave them uneasy since she rarely knows how to act and talk unless told by someone. The type of person who might look a bit clueless but will later jump holes into the ceiling when she's alone, out of happiness about a friendship for example. Her argumentation skills leave a lot to be desired and she isn't likely to stand her ground very long, but -or perhaps because- she tends to be prone to sudden, very hot-headed reactions, especially when proven wrong.

Likes: attracted to mysteries and the occult, esotericism, history, winter scenery and landscapes in general, arts (especially when done by Apollo!)

Dislikes: treachery, dishonest friendships, animal abuse, people who insult her beliefs

1st Stage Weapon : A disc with a crescent moon on it that can summon a violet-ish mist. The tone and texture of the mist depicts the most prevalent of the trifold elements in a certain person or area. Can also reveal dark mages.

2nd Stage Weapon : A javelot with a crescent moon on top of it entangled by something that looks like a Caduceus. Can cast different spells.

Final Stage Weapon : …we’ll see^^

Special Trait: perseverance

History: A young girl raised by a religious circle which seems to hold some kind of connection to the ancient mysteries. Common thought says that many years ago, her supposed mother placed the newborn into the covent* to be raised there, and since then she grew up with the community members who initiated her into the myths and customs of the circle.

As an aspiring priestess, she seems to work hard and fulfill her deeds as she can, but the question of what lies behind the rituals has never really been a matter of worries. In fact she just follows her duties obediently, as much as she does for her studies.

At the school she frequents in the city centre, she tries to be friendly and welcoming to people but not many of her mates know about her religious affiliation and extensive dealing with the occult. In fact she doesn’t make a big deal about it but, for some reason, tends to get mad when people dismiss the ancient mysteries as fancy fairytales. Even though she doesn’t seem to have much faith herself…

* The covent I’m using is kinda made up, maybe it's similar to something, Hellenic Paganism and Wicca mixed with occult stuff. But not a movement that exists in that form, in case you’re asking.^^

Fine like this?

And Dark Lightning I'll PM you.^^

Nexus had checked the list of all those that could possibly be the descendants, but the list was well over a hundred people long, only one name had been marked as confirmed, but that was not enough, in order to assure himself that all could be killed swiftly he would need to confirm them all. but the longer it took him to kill them the more time they had to increase their powers, though if he was lucky it would be a while before they could even threaten him. But as the Descendant he pretended to be he began training with his sword and had already found a way to keep it in the school, lockers are handy, but a Brainwashed Chancellor was better.

((Opal, Accepted. Alright, I'm back. Time to bring this RP back to life...))

Alec eventually found himself walking into his somewhat large home. As soon as he stepped inside, he was greeted by his foster parents. Alec's foster father held a news paper up to his face, and was obviously busy reading it. Alec's foster mother was in the kitchen, washing the dishes.

"You sure were out late today..." his father said, glancing up from his news paper.

"Right, Sorry father, Today was a pretty exciting day..." he said, muttering the last part.

"Exciting? Well, that's unusual for you to say..." his father chuckled.

"Yes, well...Um..." Alec muttered, trying to think of an excuse "There was a big basketball game today..."

Alec's father eyed him

"Since when are you interested in basketball?" he asked. Alec gave him a shrug and then rushed up the stairs to his room.

((I'm back and better then ever who miss me?))

ic:

The next morning...

Zechs woke up, noticing his blade right infront of him. How did that get in here and there? Zechs thought to himself as he got out of bed.

He walked to the bathroom and looked at himself. He washed his face up, brushed his teeth and put on his clothes that he brought extra from home. H egrabbed the blade and put it in his bag.

He looked at Dawn and then went out of her room. He closed the door and went to the front.

He opened the front door, closed it, and got in his car. He started up the engine and drove off.

"Well that was fun, i guess." Zechs thought to himself as he drove back home.

Blake felt a renewed energy inside of him, and the pole, or staff as Dionysus had said, was carefully wrapped up. He held it firmly in his hand and occasionally span it round in his hand. He was heading for the library, which wasn't something that he would normally do, but Blake felt as if he had to know more about his ancestor. When he finally reached the large building Blake had an ominous feeling from the last time he was here. He had been kicked out for laughing at a book, he was only a few years old and he could barely remember what had actually happened. All he could do was hope that the librarian didn't recognise him. He walked in and Blake casually strolled over to the front desk.

"Hello, Could you please tell me where the books on Greek Mythology are?" He asked calmly. The elderly woman who stod behind the desk looked him over as if she recognised him, but only faintly. it took her only a few seconds and soon she was smiling.

"Of course," Was her reply, "They are down the seventh aisle, about half way."

"Thank you. Oh actually, would all the books on Dionysus be there?"

"Only those that include other Gods. The rest are under D in the fourth aisle."

"Brilliant, thanks." He walked off towards the fourth aisle, with the staff carefuly held by his side. He looked for what felt like ages, but in reality was only a few minutes. Finally Blake found one and took it to a table, placed it down and turned the pages.

Peyton woke up the next morning, realizing she fell asleep wearing the same outfit she had worn before. She walked in the bathroom and took a shower, brushed her teeth, she put on a loose black Kiss T-shirt, dark blue skinny jeans, and black guy Vans, she brushed her hair and put on some eyeliner and headed to the library.

When she got there she walked straight to the aisle where all the books on Greek mythology were, remembering where they were from her days in middle school.

as all the others were doing he had to learn as much about Chaos as possible, especially if he were to become his "son". he laughed at the idea, being that all gods come from him, it would make him greater than Zeus, in his mind. "This is quite interesting. it seems the force of Chaos is beyond the primordial gods...this makes me quite the powerful "descendant" " he said with a laugh

as he looked at all those who were checking out Greek God books, who wouldn't try to find out about their parents?

OOC: (Posted on RP-owner's wishes)

[spoiler=App (Accepted)]Birth Name: Thanatide

Foster Name (Could be any name): Matthias "Matt" Demorte

Which God Do You Descend From?: Thanatos, the primordial god of Death.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Slightly curling black hair and bright green eyes. His a tall, muscular build, though he rarely fights. Matthias normally wears a kind expression, but is very cruel to people on his level.

Personality: Calm.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes: Nymphs, Death of others, Underworld

Dislikes: Pluto (the god), immortals

1st Stage Weapon (Pick any Type of Ordinary Weapon and Describe it) : Diavio, an iron sword enhanced by the Cyclopian forges (does not receive till later on)

2nd Stage Weapon(An Enhanced Version of Your 1st Stage Weapon, Make it have something To Do with Your God): Moiraios

, (Fatal) is the blade of his father's choice for him, made from bronze forged in the Cyclopian furnaces.

Final Stage Weapon (Must Have Something To Do with Your God): Athanatos, a blade that burns monsters on touch, setting them on fire, and burning them to their demise. Does not work in the Underworld.

Special Trait: Senses death of humans or half-bloods nearby before it occurs, though he cannot tell who it is.

History(At Least 4 Sentences): Matt, being the only son of Death, was cast from the Underworld to live life before living Death, so he was given to his mortal mother, Katerina Demorte. She did not know that his father was Death until he brought back an old pet from the Underworld, upon his tears, which his father sought to cure, though Matt never understood himself, because he was too young to remember it. Matt now lives in a boarding school in southeast Virginia.

---

Matthais Demorte sat in a tree outside his boarding schools front doors, looking at the students as they came and went, their blue and grey uniforms blowing in the wind. Matt's own gray jacket was sitting beside him, billowing.

"Mr. Demorte, get down from that tree now," a teacher said from the first story, surprising Matt. His body shifted, his weight making him fall off the branch and he caught himself barely on the branch. He grabbed his jacket, and pulled himself onto the branch. A ten-foot drop into the soggy ground was not the best aspect for him right now.

Alec was disturbed from his quiet nap as he his Foster dad banged on his door. The vicious thumps were interrupting Alec's wonderful dream. Alec lifted his bed-head from the pillow as his dad called out to him

"Get up! You've been asleep for far too long!" he yelled. Alec groaned as he picked up his clock which read '2:26 PM'

Alec got up, fixed his hair a little bit, and then hopped into some clothes

"Even after all that...I still remember exactly what happened yesterday..." he groaned as he pulled his shirt over his head. Alec had a few flash backs of the bizarre events that occurred the day before. He shook his head and tried to forget. Alec grabbed his phone from his desk and then started to send a text message to Peyton :

Hey. Where are you right now? I just woke up...Say nothing.

Peyton looking through a book about Hades and the underworld when her phone started vibrating, she put the book back on the shelf real quick and took her phone out of her pocket and read Alec's text message.

Peyton messaged him back:

Alright, Then I guess I'll meet you there...And I told you not to comment on it, U know I don't like to wake up early like a certain someone...

As Nexus kept walking through the Library he noticed one person that caught his attention. "Interesting...she goes to this school as well, what luck I have...." he whispered to himself as he walked near her, changing his voice into one far more kindhearted. "Uhm....excuse me.....miss, uhm....I was wondering if I could see that book?" he acted surprised as he saw her face. "oh wait....your the girl from yesterday..."

Matt picked up his phone, looking at calls. One missed call from Dawn. That was odd, because Matt hadn't been in touch with Dawn since before he moved across the state for boarding school. He clicked redial, holding the phone up to his ear as he strolled down the road, taking a left outside of the boarding school gates.

Man, I really do hate that school, Matt thought, looking back, Maybe I'll just go back to town and see Dawn again.

Dawn was awakened by the ringing of her cell phone. She picked it up and looked at the caller id

"Matt...Haven't heard from you in a while..." she spoke into the phone as she got out of bed and noticed that Zechs was gone already. Dawn then went down stairs and started to rummage through the fridge, putting the phone on speaker so that she could still hear Matt when he spoke.

"Yeah, I haven't heard from you in what, two, three years now, Dawn. I think you must've dialed me in your sleep, though, because I had a missed call from you," Matt said, sighing. "I'm so ready to leave this school. My car isn't too far away. Just in the school parking lot, with a full tank of gas. I'm leaving this horrible mountain town and going out to the coast for a few days, and then I'll think about going and seeing you."

Matt looked at the sky, gray clouds blocking out the sun, the way Matt looked like it. "I'm sure you've got better weather."

Dawn nodded as she prepared breakfast. She fried and an eggs and then microwaved a few strips of bacon. Dawn started eating and was done in no time at all. She rushed out of her house and jumped into her car and started it

"It'd be great to see you again...Wanna meet at the stake park?" she asked. Dawn drove out of the driveway and then started driving towards the skate park

"The weather over here?" she asked, glancing towards the sky "I guess it's fine..."

The skies weren't so bright, but it was gloomy either. The mood seemed just right.

"Well, I wasn't planning on leaving for another day or two, so it'd be useless for me to leave just now, plus I'm going into town today," Matt said. "The weather is pretty dark here, but I guess that's just the mountains. The state park? I've not been there in years."

The last time Matt had been to any state park he'd been removed from the area due to a wild bear nearby. It hadn't really bothered Matt, because he liked animals, and they never attacked him, like they knew him. His dog was probably dead, considering he was thirteen when Matt last saw him 3 years ago.

Dawn changed her driving path and then started driving towards Zechs's house. When she arrived there, she parked in the driveway and then got focused on the phone before getting out of the car.

"Yeah...But anyway, I still can't wait to see you, so make sure you get here as soon as you can, Alright, Matt?" she laughed "I'm sure you remember Zechs right?"

"Zechs... Zechs," Matt said, thinking, "Sorry, but I can't say I do. I can't really remember anything past when I entered this damned school. Been brainwashing us, I guess."

Matt laughed, walking into a candy store. He picked some of his favorite mint candies, as well as some mint chocolate. He walked down the street now, his pockets full of the delicious variety of mint candies and he stopped, looking across the street as a cold feeling went down his spine. A man in a dark coat had been watching Matt, but he went down an alley.

OOC: Just so you know, Matt prefers mint candy because they don't have any in the Underworld so it is "exotic" to his palate.

Matt continued down the street, picking up a book about Greek mythology at the library to read as he walked down the street. Hmm, what inefficient gods. Matt thought to himself, You think it'd be the mortals with these flaws, but no. Zeus and his persistent lust, like he had been making Eros shoot him.

"Well, I can guess while you looking at that book...." he states but repents soon afterwards. "sorry, not exactly the nicest thing to say after what happened yesterday...I guess I can see it after your done...I'm sorry for bothering you." he was about to leave, but that's just cause he felt like a bother to her, or at least the kinder side of him did. Nexus on the other hand just wanted to know her God.

Matt thought about it momentarily and ran the book back to the library and went to the school, pulling all of his belongings into a bag or two, his books and cell phone fitting easily into his bag. His three pairs of day clothes when he didn't have to wear the uniform were put in afterward, and he kept his button-up shirt and black pants on.

His 2009 Nissan GT-R was sitting there, in the parking lot below his window, as if waiting to be driven across the state. He hopped in, starting the car and driving out of the school.

Blake closed the book and slammed his head on the desk. He shifted his head, so it was laying on its side looking directly at a large stack of books. He had been there for hours, in fact he thought that he had been one of the first people in there. Now though there were a few people coming and going. Blake lifted his head and stretched his arms till he heard a satisfying click, he stood and picked up the books carefully remembering where he got them all from. It was either D or G. He hadn't found any books specifically on Dionysus, but plenty of the ones about Greek Gods spoke of him. They just didn't have the information that Blake had been looking for. Standing up, he placed the staff between himself and the books that he lifted from the desk. He was in the D section of the library so putting some of the books back wouldn't be difficult. Once he had done that though, Blake headed towards the G section. He noticed a couple of people that he recognised, but decided that it would be better to put the books back first. He could be sensible sometimes.
