Back Story Revered as a genius among those who know him. He never thought of persuing the life of a detective, but spent his days reading mystery novels, most of them he never finished, because he solved the case before he read the end. His friend recieved an invetation to the event but gave it to him, thinking he would have a better chance of winning. Friendly and kind, doesnt look like a genius at first. Somewhat of a flirt.

Opening Event

 

Akihiko walked to the balcony, being accompanied by his butler, as he reached the top he examined the 20 people who have arrived, he noticed someone extra, he pulled his butler away from the mike,

"Did you by accident send an extra invitation" Akihiko asked

"Sir, I thought you wanted that gentleman here with his son" The Butler replied

"I asked for no such thing...Butler go inform everyone" the butler took the mike,

"Can I have everyone's attention the master would like everyone to take a paper from the table in the center, On the papers you will find the word impressions and indentations. The master would like all of you to figure that out" Akihiko was in thought of who would want that extra detective there. the butler walks away from the mike, one observer sees a man in shadows down the hall the the left of the Ballroom

Haro walks over and grabs a paper. He stares at it intently, searching or any hidden pbjects on the paper. He smiles and then looks around the room. He looks at his competition and at who could be a threat. 'This should be easy. No one here looks like they will be too difficult to beat.'. He walks up to a man (Christopher), smiles and holds out his hand. "Hey, my names Haro. I didnt really want to go this whole thing without meeting anyone, so, hi!"

[Kaisu]

Kaisu was gazing around the place, and he leaned over and peered at the sheet of paper his father was holding. Kaisu gently took it and held it up to the light, looking for what he was meant to find. He pulled out a red card and aligned the two. He frowned and he tried to figure out what the impression was of.

 

Royke peered of Kaisu's shoulder and looked at the card. "Yeah.. I see it. Can't exactly figure out what it is though." He said.

Akihiko peered down at everyone, laughing at the ones who were talking to each other. The maids began to hand out drinks. The butler approached Akihiko

"Your cocktail sir"

"Thank you Heigns" he took the drink and drank it little at a time

Shawn was late as usal. He walked in to see 19 people trying to figure out a silly little symble. Shawn walked up to the table in the center, and picked up the last little piece of paper that was there. He looked at it for a couple of seconds, and didn't put to much thought to it. He crushed the paper in his hand. He walked over to one of the maids, taking a drink and placing the crumpled up piece of paper where he picked up his drink from. He walked over to the far right corner and took a sip. He spit it out moments later (Into the trash of course), the rest of the drink went with it. As well as the glass. "Don't need to much to please me, just some Pepsi and i'm good", he said in a deprested voice. He leaned against the wall behind him thinking, "This is stupid, I could be out working on a real murder case, instead i'm wasting my time with this silly little game." Shawn started to head towards the door.

 

Ooc: Shawn didn't count on Kaisu. XD

I picked up a paper. It had weird symbols on it. Being a detective, I went to a spot where no one would bother me and dusted the paper with the tools I carry with me. The symbols changed color. I wiped the paper with a chemical. "OK... this could take a few to figure out," I said.

"My name is Christopher. I'm not really a detective, but I've read my fair share of Crime stories." Christopher wasn't really sure what was happening, after all, he had no idea how to decode something. "So, what are we supposed to do? I don't even know why I'm here actually, I just came for an adventure. Something knew."

[Necro Pheonix]

"My friend talked me into this. Something about a scavenger hunt of sorts. But I guess first, we have to decode this..." Haro stared at the paper, "Too bad, I normally read murder mystery novels, I dont know to much about decipering codes." A maid came by with drinks. Haro grabbed 2 and handed one to Christopher.

[Luna Lovegood]

"Want to work together? Share the prize? Neither of us have much of a chance, but if we work together... Well, we might stand a chance. So, lets see what it says." Christopher picked up the paper and looked at it from every angle. "I have no clue where to begin" he said.

As Shawn was near the door, he looked back at the party. Some were acceding at this little game, others having the hardest time. Looking over were Christopher and Haro where, he chuckled to himself knowing they had no idea what they where doing. He then looked back at the door, deciding he would at least help them past this part. He turned around and walked up to them. As he approached them he remembered what he had looked at for the short seconds he held his little piece of paper. "The name's Shawn", he said as he stopped a few feet from were they where standing. "And that is not how it's done", Shawn said snatching the paper, and carring it over to a fire place. He looked back at them and asked for one of there drinks. After aqquiring the drink he poured it on the piece of paper. "520 Class Wiskey", Shawn said as he did this. "All fancy pancy millionaries drink this." Shawn then took the what seemed usless piece of wet paper and threw it in the fire. "Learned this old trick at the academy, the combination of paper with indents and certin kinds of Wiskey create..." He then used a metal shovel to retrive the paper. That was only one piece that was shaped out of the indents into a weird shape. The rest had burned away. "Weird shape huh? You ever seen anything like this?", Shawn said as he held up the now dry and stiff paper symble.

 

Ooc: I know I know, this is not really gonna work in real life. But hey, this is an RP right?

"Who the hell are you? And what the hell did you just do? Thanks for the help, but I need to know who your are before I get to involved with you. I'm Christopher Williams, by the way." Christopher was stunned by this man and his apparent knowledge of detective work.

I sprayed some water onto the paper and the symbol was revealed. "Kun Eti Osum. Why would there be Latin on paper? Especially Latin saying 'It starts tonight.' What does that mean?" I said.

"Smart Kid, something I would expect from a 17 year old detective as yourself" Akihiko said as he walked over to the group of 3

"It does start tonight, but do you know what starts tonight?"

"Better be what we came here for. I came for that scavenger hunt, the thrill of matching wits with others in a battle of intillect." Haro stuck out his hand. "Nice to meet you sir. My name is Haro Karuki. Quite a place you got here. And enough money to throw around for something like this. Wish I was as rich as you." Haro paused, "It starts tonight... is that another code?"

[Kaisu]

Kaisu then took out a wax tablet and put the paper inside two halves of it.

 

"Wax makes good impressions. That's one reason my dad can't lock me out." He said to no-one in particular, and he took the paper out and handed it back to his father. He then filled the wax with a chemical, and he carefully put it into the fire and teh wax melted away, but the chemical had hardened and a chain Kaisu had attached to it was still in place. He took it out and examined it. It was very thin, but the mixed colours made it harder to see. "Dad, what do you think?" He asked.

 

ooc:Just stalling, I have no idea what it's meant to be, so yeah. =/

"Probably" said Christopher. All of this mystery was getting to him. All he had come here for was a race between points. This was too complicated for him. "Anyways Mr, I cam here for a scavenger hunt, and thats what I expect, OK?"

[Kaisu]

Kaisu overheard Christopher. "You know, if most of the lost of people here are detectives, I think this is gonna turn out to be more than a scavenger hunt." He said to him. "Anyways, I'm Kaisu. Kaisu Sanyura. That's my dad over there, Royke." Kaisu smiled. He was fourteen years old, and even though his father had gone through a change, Kaisu was still the same from when he was six, only much more health-concious, and his mother had died of flu.

I had walked over to the group. "I'm James Saicon. I'm pretty high up in the detective agency I'm in. I'm not sure what starts tonight, but I've got a feeling that it's not going to be good. Just a hunch, though. I just came to enjoy the party. And I agree with you, Kaisu. I'm sure that something out of the ordinary is going to happen tonight," I said.
