HORUS
So I found this band called Viraemia while I was looking at Necrophagist's myspace. They are a technical death metal band from Arizona, their music has a theme that centers around viruses and pathology, and their bassist plays a 10 string bass. Listen to Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation, and piss yourself. http://www.myspace.com/viraemiaaz
Azmodius
I've heard of them before. I like their music, but it's a little too technical. My favorite's are "Prodomal Phase" and "Pits of Pestilence".

HORUS
The vocals killed it. D: I can see what you mean; they are a bit deathcore-ish, but the music is just so awesome I don't even notice the vocals.

Dismal Euphony
These guys are alright. They reminded me a lot of Origin when I first listened to them, which was a good thing because I love Origin. Their high screams aren't great, but the lows and the overall talent of the rest of the band makes up for that. My only real complaint about these guys is that they're TOO technical. Don't get me wrong, I love tech-death as much as the next guy, but it gets to a point where it's more like "hey! look what I can do with my instrument!" rather than being a good song. This band has a shitload of talent, but they don't do much with it. The majority of their music is just sweeps and whatnot played at blazing speeds. There's not a whole lot to it. Death Metal
10 String Bass? That's some serious overkill. Good music though. Has it's good points and bad points but overall it's listen-able.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Brain Drill is another band that I find mediocre. You gotta love Lord Marco on drums though!
