well' date=' I can't make it too overpowered... I also can't make it too [b']dissimilar[/b] from the original..

Is that even a word?

Cool pic. For both.

I hate the card though.

It isn't all too original. And Stardust is stronger to be honest.

'Dark' versions of cards are often very very similar to their original counterparts (ie: Dark Voltanius, Dark Freed, Dark Creator) I'm working on another idea though, that might work as well. Will update this post with alternative.

Adj. 1. dissimilar - not similar; "a group of very dissimilar people"; "a pump not dissimilar to those once found on every farm"; "their understanding of the world is not so dissimilar from our own"; "took different (or dissimilar) approaches to the problem"

Here's an alternate version. This one more reflects the dark reversed nature of the Dark Signers. Since Stardust Dragon sacrifices itself to protect its friends, the Blackstar Dragon uses its underlings for personal gain. It also still retains the locking theme of Stardust Dragon, though works in a different way.

it doesn't really matter how well the process is done so long as it gets the point across that it is a Dark Synchro. As for reading the words, you must need your eyes checked or something. There's a slight bit of pixilation, but hardly unreadable. As for the so-called "over powered"ness of the card, would you mind going into detail as to why it's overpowered? I also did not post it at the top, since it's a Potential revision, not a full-out replacement.

Anyway, I'll be throwing another one up in a few minutes.

Unlike some of you here, I spend more time posting cards than giving pointless ratings to earn my stars..

I personally like these cards, especially the Dark SDD. I mean, for a Dark Synchro, it has the potential for a Field Lockdown (much like the original SDD), but a tad more usable (in the anime anyway... since Dark Synchros don't exist in the TCG.)

Nice set. Wouldn't mind seeing a Dark Junk Warrior either... *wink*

Rating: 8.8 [Definately special, can't wait to see more.]

I'm hoping you didn't take the idea of Blackstar Dragon from my Fan-Fic even if you did this effect is still to bland it doesn't even match Stardust. better luck next time

No.. I haven't read anyone's fanfics, nor do I have the desire to. This is simply my variation on what an evil Yusei's stardust would turn out like. I've already stated my reasons for its effect earlier in this thread.

Hmm, it is true. And the explanation of Blackstar Dragon is pretty good. Dramatic. And you know...

Most of the time, when newbies create these, they are bad to the bone. At least yours are descent and better than them. So 7/10

I don't want to speak about anime class cause there you can have, the effect for a 4 star be: if this card is summoned you won the game.

However for TCG standrards that is pretty much OP. It locks the ability of all other monster cards, in other words half of opponent's card become very-limited use + it can easily be protected from destruction (by battle) and has a decent ATK to offend the enemy. It is basically Skill Drain added on a monster card, with 2500 ATK and the ability to easily survive any battle.

I think this pretty much explains why it is OP, HOWEVER since it is the anime we speak about it is pretty much meaningless to dispute wether it is OP or not as there is no-limit for anime cards in strength, and, though, I don't remember exact cards I am sure I saw far stronger monsters during the anime, maybe Eatos is a decent example.

Oh and I don't think it resembles Stardust Dragon very well, also even if it just a alternate, you could post it in the first post under the title: Alternate version: "pic".
