Yu-Gi-Oh! Revelation of the Zodiac [PG-16/Started/Accepting by PM]

Zeth scowled darkly. That move had been completely unexpected, and there was nothing he could do to prevent it. His trap card was useless against damage. He watched as his LP marker, already dark red, became 0. His Runner screeched to a halt, the duel systems shutting off. He sighed, but took the defeat in stride. He gave a curt nod in response to Marcos' congratulatory comment and glared back towards Sayla. To his alarm, monsters appeared around both his and Promethea's Runners, halting them from moving.

 

"What the hell is going on?" he demanded of no one in particular. The Spider Mark on his arm throbbed dangerously, sending a burning sensation through his arm.

Whatever Promethea had done did less than nothing to Sayla and her Duel Spirits "Is that all? Yes, you've managed to separate me and my host, but that's about it. Big @#$%ing deal." She said, unimpressed. "Now, are you going to stop being an insolent little b@#$%, or am I going to have to let Alina kill you. And believe me, I've seen how she kills. It's not pretty to look at, or to feel either."

 

The girl that appeared in the darkened room was just that, a girl, no more than eleven if that. She was wearing a child sized Dark Signer robe colored blue and didn't have Sayla's typical mask on. Her face was streaked with tears and she was sobbing uncontrollably. A quick search of facility inmates would reveal that there WAS no Sayla in the Facility, ever, and that Inmate #40263076 was actually a young girl who had been convinced that she had killed her whole apartment building. Due to overcrowding after the giant dragon fight, she had been stuffed into the Facility instead of a psychiatric ward. She tried to speak but only choked sobs came out.

The girl vanished, and the room sank into darkness.

 

Meanwhile, Promethea coasted alongside Sayla.

"Listen. I'm sorry about earlier, but we need to work together, not bicker amongst each other. We have a common enemy. Two, in fact. Now let's just stand down and figure out what we're gong to do to Victor as punishment."

"Oh for the love of... I summon Venom Hydra! By the power of the Lizard mark, kill those two monsters!"

The many-headed snake rose, and with some sort of hybrid between a roar and a hiss, launched itself at the two roadblocks. Half the snake heads bit one of the monsters in the neck, killing it, while the other did likewise with the other. The bodies immediately disappeared in a shot of light.

"Dammit, we're losing time. Stop muttering between yourselves and let's get moving!" Marcos called to the other three, and sped off.

"You really don't get it, do you?" Sayla asked, gripping Promethea by the throat and squeezing hard enough to eliminate any doubt in her mind that the masked Dark Signer can and would snap her head clean off her body "You may be in charge of the rest of the group, but not me. I'm your superior. Got it, MAGI?"

 

The Duel Spirits holding up the road didn't even so much as flicker. "Pathetic." A voice resembling Promethea's said, causing Marcos to appear five miles and two lanes away from the Dark Turbo Duel circuit. The road ahead of him was more or less clear, but there was no chance of him managing to get back to the other three.

"How...did...you know...about...me?" Promethea wheezed.

 

Meanwhile, the purple entity from before pondered whether she should interfere.

Sayla has potential, if only we could control her temper, and whatever is inside of her. Promethea has exactly what we need, but she isn't an option. Underneath that calm demeanor is the heart of a ruthless, merciless monster. Zeth is another candidate, but further down on the list.

But then we go over to the Signer side, where we have 3, count them, THREE perfect candidates!

We just need to make one of them a Dark Signer, but which one?

OOC: Riiiiiiight. Either a REALLY good explanation is required, or I'm calling Godmod.

 

IC: Marcos somehow ended up entirely off track. Maybe not somehow, more like instantly. Like a jump cut you'd see in a movie. One minute he was there, and the next he was off in the distance. He said nothing, but turned the D-Wheel around and sped toward the Mark. He was nothing if not determined.

The purple entity tapped into Promethea's slowly-suffocating brain.

"Promethea..."

"You!"

"I'm here to make you a deal. Do a favor for me, and I will give you a massive overhaul to your incredibly-outdated systems."

"Why should I even TALK to you after what you did to me?!?"

"Because I can just as easily put you back into your cell. You may think you have power, but I have this entire city behind me!"

There was silence.

"What do you want me to do."

"Simple. Send Christine and Sayla after Izumi Chronos."

"Izumi...CHRONOS?!? What are you pulling?!?"

"Let's just say that you might want to watch the footage from Victor's duel. Just do that when I ask you to, ad I will upgrade your interface."

"Deal."

Prometeha returned to being choked to death as the entity left her mind.

OOC: And I'd like to hear it. You can PM me, but I dislike being left in the dark about things like that. What BD did was pretty much godmodding. My character won't even be a part of it...yet.

 

IC: There it was. The field was up, purple fires burning on the ground. The shape of a whale. The Immortal hadn't touched down yet, which was good. There was still a distance to go, however, and time wasn't on Marcos' side. He urged his D-Wheel on faster. He hoped he could get there before it was too late.

"Gagh!" came the yell of the Dark Signer as his ace monster and trap card were destroyed in a burst of light from the two spirits residing in the cards. "Oh, now you've done it, this battles going to a whole new level, If you didn't know Grady then I hope you remember the former host Greiger!" Victor yelled in a slightly insane matter as his Whale Mark glowed more brightly in the light of the Turbo Dueling Circuit. "When I'm done with you two your gonna wish that your skulls had exploded and left you for dead!"

OoC: Seconding request for explanation because the narrative stopped making sense mixed with hints of godmodding, or at the very least Deus Ex/Diabolus Ex Machina.

 

Zeth scowled to no one in particular and focused on restarting his Runner. Now that the Duel was over, he wanted to get to the scene of the Shadow Duel. The Runner was still in good working condition, but needed to recharge after the duel. He didn't know what the hell was going on between Sayla and Promethea. His Spider mark pulsed painfully and his eyes widened. What was going on over there at that duel? His Mark had never felt like this since getting it and his stomach felt a twinge of dread.

((Sayla/Alina is a/are Psychic duelist/s, so she played Emergency Teleport (or any card that makes more sense) and teleported Marcos to his destination, or as close as she wanted to get))

 

"Greiger? I've seen all the tapes of great-grandpa Yusei's Duels, of course I know who Greiger was." Kenshin said "So what, are you like his grandson or something?" He asked, "Oh, and before I forget, Junk Destroyer, go in for a Direct Attack! Refuse Salvo!"

 

Sayla let out the pressure just enough so that Promethea could breathe for about six seconds, before clamping it down to the point where she could barely speak "So, the MAGI thinks she's so special." The masked girl said mockingly "I know everything about you." She told the Condor Dark Signer, though Zeth couldn't hear a word of this. The Darklords restraining him vanished, however.

Zeth's eyes flicked around as the monsters guarding him vanished and he allowed himself a miniscule sigh of relief. At the same time, the recharge time of his Runner expired, allowing him to start it up with no problem. He eyed Sayla warily, a dark look crossing his face when he noticed the grip the blue Dark Signer had upon her neck. There was something odd about that girl, odder than simply being psychotic. Now that the duel had ended, his arms felt sore from the blows from that Synchro monster, something he didn't recall ever happening during a duel before.

 

Unwilling to leave Promethea alone with Sayla, he remained where he was, as opposed to going to the scene of the Shadow Duel.

OOC: And Sayla just HAPPENS to have a card that has no relation to her deck whatsoever, just specifically for this purpose? Still not convinced.

 

IC: The whale mark was growing more pronounced, both in the sky and on the ground. Marcos decided to take a risk, a rather large one at that. He launched his D-wheel off of the ground, and fell. But he fell a long way, landing on the whale mark itself. He swerved off of that and on to the track, in just enough time to see his comrade get hit with a barrage of stuff.

 

He opened a com-link to Victor's D-Wheel.

"What the hell are you doing?! Why did you show yourself this early?! Promethea wants you back at base NOW!"

Promethea, feeling her consciousness slip, finally decided to go for broke. either this technique would work, or she would die. Again.

"Let...me.....GO!!!"

She unleashed a massive psychic blast that caused everyone for hundreds of meters around to have a splitting headache. Sayla was distracted long enough for Promethea to break free and escape back to her Duel Runner.

"Computer...take me...home..." She wheezed before she passed out. The onboard computer of her duel Runner complied, heading off of the Duel route and heading back to the Dark Signers' base.

"Oh this isn't good..." Victor said as he was pelted by the barrage of junkyard trash. He then turned to his newly established link to his fellow Dark Signer. "Marcy! You never call you never write! I thought you might have forgotten about me! Whatever, tell the bossgirl that I'm comin'." Suddenly with a click of a button the Duel stopped at a instant, Victor's Whale Mark disentegrated into his flesh and the Circuit dissappeared completely. Removing Speed World Z from the field, Victor added his cards back into his deck and swerved back into a U-Turn to reach Marcos' location and stopped abruptly to ride side-by-side with his companion. "So whats the deal now guy?"

Marcos was slightly put at ease by Victor's realative ease at the situation."Well, we head back to base, that's what we do. But...do you know anything about Promethea or Sayla? Because..."

He then proceeded to explain the duel, Sayla's increasingly murderous vocabulary, the exchange between Sayla and Promethea, and his own fate as the two rode at top speed back to the base.

"There's something seriously wrong here. I've never known Dark Signers to manipulate space and time like she just did. What do you think?"

Promethea groggily awoke on her Duel Runner, which was speeding along.

She looked around, and calculate that she was only a few minutes away from home base.

But then she spied Victor with Marcos, another Dark Signer.

She casually pulled in, got off of her duel Runner, walked up to Victor, and b-slapped him on the cheek.

"Look what you've done, you imbecile! I told you to FIND the Signers, not fight them!"

[Proto]

"Woah dude, I wouldn't want to mess with that Sayla girl at all, I'd rather go with my Frozen Fitzgerald with both of my arms being eaten by a Cyber Shark." When Victor finally pulled over with his Dark Signer companion he was greeted by the slap on the cheek by Promethea he merely took a large grin and said calmly. "I've had worse then that ma'am, I died by having a large blade impaled in my chest by a civilian and bleeding to death." Victor said taking a slightly insane grin and pushing her hand away, "There is much more to fear then you and your little toys." He muttered, pushing off a bit of his Dark Signer cloak, revealing a large dark red stain covering the left side of his shirt.

Promethea's sudden departure caught Zeth by surprise, but he didn't dare hesitate to take off himself. After all, just because Sayla had shifted her focus to Promethea didn't exactly mean he was off the hook for being defeated. Activating his Runner's engines, he rode off at an increasingly fast pace, heading in the direction of the whale mark. However, as he watched, the luminous mark in the sky faded away and his Spider Mark stopped glowing right then. He frowned, puzzled. If the Shadow Duel had ended, then who had won?

 

He changed course, puzzling over where to go next. He didn't have a clue where the other non-Sayla Dark Signers may have gotten to. Finally setting on the base where the meeting was held (after all, that was the best rendezvous point if Victor had won his duel: it would be where he would likely report).

 

It was several minutes before he managed to navigate to the base's location, using his Runner's map to guide him to the right building. He blinked, noting that the other Dark Signers had already regathered. Wow he was out of the loop today. Screwing up during his duel and now not even getting back before the Dark Signer that initated the Shadow Duel.

 

He rode up alongside the others and dismounted from his Runner, saying nothing as he did so.

Promethea was a bit impressed, but she was still upset.

"You defied my orders and engage against the Signers! Now they know we're here! Let's just hope they aren't as organized as before, or we're in trouble!"

"By the way, could I see the recording of that duel?"

"Pfft, I was on the verge of losing the duel anyways, also do you think I carry around videos of my crimes on my Duel Runners? If I lose this thing Sector Security knows everything and anything that I've done. Besides, my Duel Runner I got in the Sector Security vault, it doesn't have any recording feature, however I found something that may come to your intrest." Victor pressed a small button on his Duel Runner, bringing out a particular card that he had retrived from the vault. "Here yah go, the One Hundred Eye-Dragon, this was in Kiryu's deck no? Apparently the police did their job correctly for once!" Victor tossed the Dark Synchro at the Condor user and grinned.

"Fine, then. I guess a visit to the nearest Sector Security traffic office is in order." Promethea sighed.

She then caught the card and placed it in her deck holder.

"I have no need for this card. I already have my own Dark Synchro Monster."

She then turned back to Victor.

"But you will be punished for your insolence! Which Signers did you go up against?!?"

 

Meanwhile, Damian was bummed out.

"What the f**k, man?!? Sore loser! Bailed out as soon as his big bad popsicle melted!"
